A Glimpse into 50 US States – American Quiz

Do you know where Vermont is located? What city is the capital of Wisconsin? In this game, you will find all 50 states of the United States of America! All 50 state capital cities! All state flags and outline maps! From New England and the Great Lakes to the California coast and the Alaska wilderness!

  • Northeast (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, etc.).
  • Midwest (Ohio, Illinois, South Dakota, etc.).
  • South (Alabama, Texas, North Carolina, etc.).
  • West (Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and others).

Questions are divided into six groups:

  1. Guess the name or the postal abbreviation of the state highlighted on the US map (for example, LA is for Louisiana; OK is for Oklahoma).
  2. Spell the names of state capitals (e.g. Salt Lake City is the capital of Utah; Lincoln is the capital of Nebraska).
  3. Recognize the state by its geographical borders.
  4. Game about state flags.
  5. Dates of admission to the Union: from the First State––Delaware (December 7, 1787)––to the 50th state Hawaii that joined on August 21, 1959.
  6. State nicknames: famous like ‘Sunshine State’ for Florida or ‘The Grand Canyon State’ for Arizona; and less-known such as ‘Land of Enchantment’ for New Mexico or ‘Mountain State’ for West Virginia.

In each group, you can choose several game modes:

  • Spelling quizzes (easy and hard).
  • Multiple-choice questions (with 4 or 6 answer options). It’s important to remember that you have only 3 lives.
  • Time game (give as many answers as you can in 1 minute) – give more than 25 correct answers to win a star.
    Two learning tools:
  • Flashcards – browse information about each state without guessing.
  • Table of all U.S. states.

Simple, this is a good app. Download now and learn the capitals.

This is the app that we used to learn the state capitals. Would highly recommend getting it. (And stop complaining about the ad’s just turn off the internet)

We found this app to be very helpful and we’ve learned and help remember a lot more about this country. We enjoyed the timed challenges, very well laid out app, enjoy.

Thanks to this app all our family knows every states and their capitals & more!!!!

This is the only way we can contact the Author/Creator of this App. The update from a day ago has messed up this app. Im unable to restore purchases, the ads are back, unable to purchase hints, ect. When we tap the app, the APP STORE ERROR message pops up and then we have to tap OK. If we tap settings it takes us to that page and once again the APP STORE ERROR pops up. It starts blinking, freezing the page and blocking any action on that page and the only way to get off that page is to leave the app completely. PLEASE HELP! Other than this issue it WAS a five star app.

Really good! We might be of few people who use this app for fun but this app is both easy to use and fun!

Love app, thanks for 100% test grade.

Good app for improving knowledge about US States.

Good app, inaccurate in some places. We mostly noticed this in the state nicknames game. See, for some states, you added nicknames that, at the very least, are not the most wide spread. Here are all the errors we spotted: Alabama: you listed it as the Yellowhammer State, however most people learn the nickname Heart of Dixie Illinois: Illinois is known largely in history and geography classes across this great nation as The land of Lincoln as in Abraham Lincoln. Maine: this is very small so forgive us, but though Pine Tree State is co-official with vacation land, most people will only learn one Michigan: largely known as the Wolverine state. We understand the confusion, we didnt notice until recently. Wisconsin: the badger state is largely considered the official nickname, and the only alternative we could find was Americas dairyland, which is certainly unofficial. Please take this into consideration. This app is well made and very fun, but these little errors are just a tad frustrating, especially if youre not using it to learn but just as a review. It was very weird calling Illinois the prairie state, because we always learned it as the Land of Lincoln. So many people seem to be using this app as reviews for test, and we would hate for them to trip up on such trivial facts, such as the true nickname of Michigan. Thank you for your time, and God bless- Conner.

This app is so cool and fun we used to write down every state and there capitals three times on a blank map like we said a real life saver.

We were struggling in our class cause we could not nap the states we had a test, and we had this app for a week and we got a 98% on it. Thank you!:)
