Community Insight:
This is legitimately the best game in the genre. Really well made. The unlocks are paced very well to keep you coming back for more, but the game also doesnt overstay its welcome. No ads and no invasion of privacy. Well worth the asking price.
Fun game but a few things that make us want to completely stop playing are. At some point you can become stunned for a full minute. Unable to do anything in the game even craft. This has happened multiple times while fighting bosses which means an imminent death as you cant cast a single spell. Also a mechanic that we cannot imagine why is in this game is bosses can just run away from fights. And fights that can take up too half an hour, 30 minutes into a fight and they have 20% of their health left and they can just flee. A Ridiculous boss mechanic and a waste of our time.
The incremental genre on mobile is packed with games that are boring (many idle games especially) and filled with evil game design, such as driving users to micro transactions. This game is a diamond in the rough, being interesting, engaging, and respectful of players. This has become one of our favorite mobile games of all time, and we highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys incremental games. Thanks for making the game, devs.
Might be the most fun Idle game ive played since we beat NGU Idle. Its not extremely complex, but it does not need to be. It has a lot of charm and you can tell the game is really fine-tuned and well made. Balance is great. The pacing is fantastic, we never hit a timewall that would take more than a couple hours to beat. We kept on wanting to level up more to see the new gear, new spells, new everything. Just a fantastic game. It does cost money but man the amount of money Ive spent on less good idle games compared to this is wild.
For those of us who love an idler with rpg aspects, Spellcasting, and creating builds this game pulls through. It will be eating your battery though and leaving your phone on for hours at a time though. Not necessary if youre willing to take the slow route, but for us we had to know what was next. We also was always invested to see what new skill or spell Id learn next. Great Idler compared to many you see on the phone.
This is the absolute best mobile game out there! It give you the most satisfying pace of progress and challenge. We get bored relatively quickly with most mobile games but Ive spent dozens of hours on this game and it just keeps getting better.
For over a decade we have been checking the store every week for a good idle game because they are our jam. We find some now and then that are average. We have played every idle game you can probably think of. This is the gold nugget we look for. In the age of micro transactions, this game wears its heart on its sleeve and for the low asking price you get a very well thought out and fun idle resource management game. It reminds us of the Kittens Game. To Developer: Because of the rarity and quality, we are rating it a solid 9.9. The only thing that stopped it from being a perfect 10 was our hang up on auto battling and dungeon crawling. It needed a way to start the game further into the dungeons so you didnt have to redo the same old easy ones over and over. We liked that you lessened the amount needed to advance but it was so mundane still to have to do after retiring each time. Also we got hung up semi early game in the dungeon. It was a wall in what was otherwise an amazingly paced resource management game. Last note is that crafting would be nice to automate and to be able to improve the quality of crafted items besides potions which did increase. But we could see that as another school of magic: Magic Smithing. Being able to improve items like armor and weapons to make them a more viable option in combat where magic is the obvious choice 99 percent of the time and not being able to avoid silence or cure it. Kudos overall!! We hope you make another! LOVED it! We know it probably doesnt mean much but we have spent thousands, and thousands of hours in games like this. We were number three in the world in Clicker Heroes for a long time. This is the kind of idle game genre we hope NEVER dies. THANK YOU.
Ive played several text based games but nothing like this! It doesnt feel sluggish like most other games where you just have to wait for your resources to build up, and the spell classes you unlock as you progress make the game more enjoyable as you take your new abilities beyond retirement. Love the game! Cant wait to see where it goes.
The game got boring after less than an hour. Just repetitive content with irrelevant content to make you do more work than needed. We regret paying money for this as we wont be playing it again.
Wow just wow! This game had us captivated from the start. You are so attentive as a developer and fixes/updates come out super fast. Good mechanics; balancing is good; story line makes sense; reasonably priced. Please keep developing If you decide to come out with a DLC we will be the first in line.
Very much like orb of creation (and countless others) but has more depth than the genre usually sees. It's also much less grindy, at least in the beginning. The one downside is at a certain point the game becomes an auto battler, which is fine, except you need to auto battle for 10+ hours straight. It's not very interesting to watch. You will hit a ceiling on the building stuff frequently and have to battle to resolve that issue. We wish there was more story pop ups during this time and more unique ones to boot. Our only other gripe is some of the spell balancing is off. Certain higher tier spells make no sense to use as the efficiency is greatly reduced. We are thoroughly enjoying this game though and feel it has been well with the cost already.
This game is awesome, the way you progress bit by bit without having to pay a bunch of money is a breath of fresh air. Recommendations Make the apprentices have adjustable times to auto cast, example: 2 apprentices on one spell can cast it every 40 seconds, for those spells that last 40 seconds. When exploring have a counter that tells you how many monstium youll collect Have apprentices auto craft potions for you.
Excellent game. If youve ever played kittens game, this is similar however while it has a similar depth it feels a lot easier to get into. We revealed new layers to the game at a good rate and never felt overwhelmed or bored.
On the new iPhone, when we switch away from the game and back, we can swipe menus but can't interact with any buttons. Makes playing a bit of a pain right now. Love the game, one of the best idle game experiences on the market for any platform. The systems are complex but not overly so, the pacing is really well-done, and it's designed in such a way that you don't need to consult a guide which we love. The apprentices system is a great way to give the player a way to automate the game, and the way it's designed means you're always building toward something (adding a new buff/boost, improving your resource collection, etc). Researchers are a great way to passively improve less important or hard-to-train schools. Not having to actively train evocation on weak enemies each run, or constantly enable buffs to slowly train enchantment, makes it far easier to focus on the interesting parts of the game loop. We're a sucker for games that provide an in-game mechanic for gaining meta-information. Spells to reveal quest requirements or game tips are very cool and provide an important avenue later game to progress without being tied to a wiki page.
We just completed the main game (have not 100% it yet) and have spent over 56 hours actively playing. This game is an amazing incremental which holds your attention through. It requires active play, but gives you time pieces as you are idle, which allows you to speed up gameplay, or do time warps. This allows you to constantly feel like you are actively playing, while allowing you to speed through some grinding parts. Highly recommend the game, easily one of our top 3 mobile games ever. Now onto the second game.
This is a really fun idle game. You can do both idle and active play, [active being faster than just idling] the actual boss fights are a challenge when you encounter them for the first time and you really have to take stock of your resources and see what items you can craft and spells/buffs to try and beat them. Give this game about an hour, if you like it after that. Buy the 2nd one because its more along the lines of a remaster rather than a 2nd game. Very fun stuff. NEED NUMBER 3.
Lowkey, our first time playing this kinda game. Im addicted, we havent stopped playing it. At some points, Im not even having fun but Im still playing. This game changed us.
This game is insanely fun. Us and our friend played at home, work, in the bathroom everywhere. Whenever you think youre halting and theres not much to do it opens up again and you get tons of stuff. So much fun how they have combat in addition to building your schools. 10/10 would recommend.
Great game but we have come to a point where we need more stone to build another warehouse but until we build another warehouse we cant hold more stone.
The only game Ill go out of our way to review. Truly worth the cost, genuinely entertaining, respects its players enough to not be chock full of ads or microtransactions. Love it.
An RPG with base-building, crafting, and an amazing number of storylines. 10/10, one of the only good mobile games. Currently at 98% completion on main run. But we have started other runs just to feel that early-game rush again, of course.
The best pacing of any incremental game Ive ever played, so far but Im not done yet. As someone else said the auto battling is our only gripe but its still fun.
Ive played nearly every idle game on the app store, and we can happily say that this is one of the best. It lacks the fancy graphics that some other idle games have, but it makes up for it with gameplay and passion. There are a lot of interwoven mechanics and resource dependencies that make the game mentally stimulating to play. The combat, while simple, can also be challenging and require real thought and attention to progress. The random storylines were always fun to discover and left us excited to retire and try the other options. And the best part? NO OBNOXIOUS ADS OR MONETIZATION! This is one of the few idle games we felt empty after finishing because we were having so much fun progressing. 10/10.
Amazing minimalist idle game worth the price tag.
Easy 5 star if they decreased the auto battling 10x. Im on our 5th retire and just dreading the monster essence grind. Got our $5 worth at least.

Amazing game. Well balanced and keeps you thinking. Retirement is exciting because of all the options you can choose and paths that get unlocked. Finally beat it today after investing a ton of time. We hope DLC comes out or a sequel, because we would happily pay to play more.
Im glad we bought the game. Even with the two problems Ive had its worth the money. The first one was mentioned by someone else, text running off the page so we had to quit the game and come back as we couldnt get to the buttons. We figured out that we had to lower the size of our text on the entire phone to fix this. Its a hassle but if we hold it very close then put the text back up when we finish playing Im okay. The second is that Ive had to retire twice because our wood started counting back instead of forward so we couldnt keep hold of any wood. Im still trying to figure out what triggers that, and if anything makes us stop playing it will be that. Its too bad because its a fun game otherwise.
This game has a bug with long text pages. They dont scroll so when you make a discovery often you cant even read what it is. To progress, you have to close the app and reopen it because theres no way to get to the button. You never get to read the text you missed. Update Edit: The developer said it was due to our increasing font size on our iphone. So Im playing it now on ipad and its pretty fun. Adding another star to review.
If youre looking for your next Kittens Game, this is it.
Do we get it? -Yes. Why? -No IAPs or ads, excellent unfolding gameplay, attentive developer, requires thought and strategy for late game Am we stuck? -Doing resets so you get a higher primary level on each of the schools is a good idea. Level everything up, construct everything you can, and pay attention to the effects of your equipment. Some combinations are surprisingly effective. How do we stop feeling addicted to this game? -we dont know. You tell us.
Genuinely a really good idle game! There really arent much like it on mobile or on any platform really. Im looking forward to more updates in the future. Absolutely worth the money :).
Ive had this game for almost a month now. We found ourselves checking in as often as our free time allows it. (It is a bit of a battery hog so we found ourselves charging often) there are pros and cons to actively idling and closing out to idle. The incremental progression and storyline randomness adds to a fun and intrigue run, no matter how many times you retire and start anew. Loads of different builds, focuses, and goals. We have lots of fun and am excited to see where this game goes.
Not only does this game work beautifully with voiceover, it is also a very unique and interesting game.
We would describe this game as a sort of clicker-based, story game which happens to be a genre we really enjoy. The game is relatively easy in terms of controls once you get the hang of it, but we dont find it boring because new events and expansions to your magic are unlocked progressively, which keeps the game feeling exciting. Im also really into story and magic school games and Im glad this doesnt have additional purchases. TLDR Its a great game and worth a try.
This game is awesome love it already.
Very fun only issue is our phone gets extremely hot while playing.
This is an awesome game, we tried out the Web version and thought we would buy this one. Would you consider making this game accessible to the blind? There are not many games like this that the blind can play, if you make this accessible we can guarantee that you will have a lot of people playing this. As of right now, we are stuck and canno longer progress. We would suggest you visit Applevis.com and Audiogames.net to promote your game and to get help to make this accessible. Thank you so much! Love the game.
