For some reason this game popped into our head and we couldnt remember the name. We searched ski in our purchased section and found it! This game was awesome 7 years ago! Please update for newer devices or make a Solipskier 2! Im surprised there never was a sequel.

Ive had this game for almost 6 years now and im dreading the day that it stops working because its one of our favorites.
Still an amazing game after they finally fixed it up for newer phones.
Solipskier is a gem, and we're thrilled that it's been updated to work on newer devices! This game is an essential part of any iOS gamer's library.
Previously, this app was broken in that it basically did nothing. It now works. Yay! As for the game itself, we have one single complaint; if you get going too fast, the music cuts out. (According to in-game tips, this is intentional.) we'd prefer if the music got MORE intense if you broke the sound barrier, not less. Aside from that, it's a unique, simple to learn, tough to master game, and we love it.

We've been playing this game for about 5 years across PC, Mac and our iPhones over time and it is still our favorite simple arcade game.

Awesome game – works fine on our iPhone 6 buttons on the menu screen are still wonky. Must randomly tap near the buttons until it eventually registers.

This is a really good game. We think it should have been free, though. If we die and have to restart, it won't let us click the restart button. In fact, it won't even let us click any button! Above that stuff, we think it's a pretty good game.
If the big gets fixed where once you fall you're able to click restart then we'd give it five starts, all in all great game fun way to pass some time.
We've loved this game for a long time. It was the first app we ever paid for. We'll still keep playing it, don't get us wrong, even though it's not quite as sharp as it was in previous versions. We have an iPhone 4 and we can run only up to iOS 7.1.2.
Updated review 7/17 Changing our review to 4 stars from one star since it now works on our 6 plus. Please update the graphics for the 6 plus and it will be a full five stars! We have Loved this game since it first came out! ———————————– we were so excited to see that solip skier (one of our favorite games) was fixed. But then we can't tap restart when we die – we have to tap randomly on the screen until it restarts. The graphics are "stretched out" on our iPhone 6 plus and not optimized graphically for the 6 plus. It also crashes al the time , the skier crashes even though we drew ground under him Please please please fix this right for iOS 8 and graphically for the 6 plus.
We used to play this game on a PC when we were in high school (or college maybe?). Nowadays, as far as game play and how the app works for the game itselfno real complaints. But our issue is that the music and sound effects disappear, and we do not mean how the music stops when you get fast enough (that feature is funny to us and we like the sound effects without the music); what we mean is if Im listening to something else on our phone, say a podcast, and then we open Solipskier, sometimes all game sounds get eliminated (sometimes we can get it to make sound but then if we mute the sounds in the game, we cant get them to unmute, not even when we quit the app and open it again, and not even when we turn our phone off and restart). Im not a techy person so Im sure Im not explaining it correctly, but it is decidedly a glitch and different from the skiers headphones getting blown off.
The music is gone. That was a great part of the game. Maybe there is something wrong with app.
Restart button doesn't actually work, so we have to quit the game to start another round. Otherwise the game plays fine.
We used to play this game a lot but since the update it's hard to because of how far it starts from your finger. Also we can't click anything on the screen that comes up after you play a game so we have to kill the app and open it back up. Another thing is the resolution just looks really crappy and it kinda makes it not as, we guess you could say, exciting, as it used to be.
Very fun, addictive, and simple. But when we die, none of the buttons work and we can't restart. Fix this please.
Was a great game, but the update messed with where the game recognizes our finger is and the graphics have become very low-Rez. Playing on an iPhone 5S.
The graphics are pixely -_-. We also cannot view high scores.
We love this game on the website. Then, we got the app. We were VERY disappointed when we started playing the game. First of all, there was no pause button, which is on the website. Secondly, sometimes we go through gates and it doesnt do anything. And the the thing we hate the most, sometimes it just randomly stops painting snow, when our finger is still on the screen. It also has pretty bad graphics, which we dont really mind that much. PLEASE FIX.
On the iPhone 6 the game is in very low resolution, the game over menu doesn't respond, and the path you create by your finger is made to the bottom right of where you touch and it makes the game very annoying to play. This game isn't fixed, it just works (at least mostly works) don't get it until another reviewer says its 100% fixed on the iPhone6.
We mean, we're glad we could finally play it on our iPhone 5s, but the graphics are fuzzy and not optimized for larger screens than the iPhone 4/4s. Even on our old iPhone 4, where we still played it, the update made the graphics look worse. Not good.
The aspect ratio may have been fixed on the iPhone 6, but now it's broken on the 5. The cursor is not in the right location relative to our finger, and the resolution is lower than normal.
These dudes need to do better testing before releasing an update. We don't know if this version runs properly on any devices, but on our 5s it has many issues. We're pleased to say that it displays across our whole screen, but the image is very low res (not 8-bit, just ugly) and it is clearly just stretched to fit, not reformatted and scaled appropriately. When playing, the cursor tracks your finger about 1.5 cm to the left of actual finger placement, which makes the game quite a chore to play. To make matters even worse, you cannot use any buttons on the game over screen. Lazy work on the update. Make it right. We paid for this.
There's still an aspect ratio bug on the 6+ even though it says it's been fixed.

We got this game a few months back, and it didn't work. Now, it is MOSTLY functional. Sometimes, the skier hates us and falls through the snow. Other than that, we'll keep rockin' on with Joe Stump and our skier. Thanks for the fix.
A jump in rating due to the recent update.
Dev came back to fix a super old game for iOS8, dreams do come true. Unfortunately it was fixed rather badly, stretched to the screen and having the tocuh controls off.
So u made it work on iOS 8 but you can't still press restart or anything when you die. And it crashes a couple times but besides that great game.
This was one of our favorite web games, the input working now but still seems clunky.
The scaling issue you fixed for iOS8 for 6+ phones is still jacked on iphone 6 phones. And crashes upon playing the game. What gives.
Saw it on G4 and we had to have it. Back when this was first released. We originally gave it 5 stars. But now we give it one star. When we saw an update for this we were so excited to be able to play it on our 6plus. But alas the game is severely broken now. 1. Can't even draw the slopes properly 2. Skier just falls through the snow 3. Can't restart. We're running iOS 8.3 6 plus.
Edit: they tried to fix it for iOS8 and it ended up being a work of… Terrible sad failure. Best game ever… If it would work on our iPhone 6 :((( we miss it dearly, please make a compatibility update.
We have been waiting for SO long for this app to be compatible with iOS 8 and now it is! We have had this app just in our phone doing nothing but now it works! Best day of our life.

We truly think this is the BEST game ever -fact but when ever we go onto it ,it won't start.
As of IOS 8, the app loads, but doesn't respond to any tapping when trying to start a game…. It seems like the developers are not around anymore, it's such a shame because we've been playing this for around 5 years, and we haven't gotten bored of playing it. Please fix it.
So we love this game and with the extended screen from the iphone 5 the game was a little smaller on the screen but still played but now with ios 8 it doesnt work at all! We hope you guys will update this app seeing it was very awesome.
You so called gamers who gave this game a bad review are full of you know what. This game is addictive and fun, fun, fun. You so called spoiled gamers who wouldn't know a great game if it hit you in the eye, do us a favor and re write your review. People appreciate what you have in fine developers who think out side of the box. Grow up people, grow up, be honest with yourself, and your review. We hope we never have to read such lies about a game again.
This game is pure amazing, it's not too easy you get bored and put it down, and it's not so hard that you get frustrated and stop playing. The execution is flawless and the game perfect.
The speed metal is nice for the first 10 rounds you play. But it would be nice if there was a section in the settings that gave the player access to the music on there device so they have a wider range to play with.
Great app but it would be really great if you can pause it.
