We played this game a lot when k was a child and we still love this game even tho it is made for 4 year olds and we are 9 we still love this game and we returned to it after 5 years.
This game was our childhood, we dont remember much other than the excessive detailing and non-stop jokes. Quite a few pieces of the games puzzle managed to stump us, however, we still managed to beat the game back then, now, we wish you relive such glory. Honestly, despite the game being for children, many jokes are even better when youre of an older demographic. The amount of detailing in every scene of the game is astonishing, and exceeds in making every part of the environment interactive. This game definitely has flaws, as per any game made over ten years ago. However, recent updates (of which we never realized how necessary they were), have made the game a far better and more playable experience in the modern era of technology. We fully recommend this game to anyone, whether they have come to relive their childhood like ourselves, or, if they a seek a new and fun experience. 5 out of 5 stars.
Sometimes the cursor stops working (for mobile) out of nowhere & we have to exit the game and hope Ive saved in a good spot. Also kinda hard to pull up gadget inventory with no button present. And sound only works using headphones (for us Bluetooth). Other than that Im enjoying the nostalgia. Grateful its in the App Store.
Nostalgic for the most part, few changes with soundsother than that it runs smooth and has great memories to revisit.
For anyone having audio issues with this app or any other humongous games on iOS or iPadOS regarding audio, make sure your volume is up then make sure Notifications are not MUTED (Silence switch OFF on iOS, Bell icon has no line through it in control panel on iPadOS.) we thought the games were bugged then found a fix ourselves. Hope this helps.
Firstly, great nostalgic game, and an impressive port. Ive seen a lot of reviews that mention no sound. We had the same issue: started playing with Bluetooth headphones and had sound, but later had no sound from phone speakers. The solution for us was turning off silent mode. Apparently, audio for this game is tied to your phones silent mode switch. Every other game on our phone will have sound while the phone is on silent, as long as we have the media volume turned up. This game requires your device to be off of silent mode. If your media volume is turned up, and youre able to hear notifications and ringtones from your phone, and the sound is turned on within the game, you should be good. If that fails, try headphones. That seems to override the issue.
Played all Humungus Entertainment games as a kid. You cant imagine how excited we are to relive nostalgia through our ipad. & Im 23.

We loved this game as a kid we got it inside a cereal box. The thing with the mobile game we are currently on the Punch Card route and we need to find a hidden message by painting on an easel but we cant drag it across we have to tap the screen leaving little dots taking forever. WHAT DO we DO.
When we were 6 or 7 years we used to love playing this on a PC when it was a CD rom era it was so much fun. We love how engaging this game was for us when we were little. The thing that its lacking is the controls and responsiveness. The other thing its lacking is on the ipad it does not let us hear audio of the game which makes it disappointing when you can use it on your iphone but not on your ipad.
Cant get any sound on iPhone 12.
We have a apple tablet and each time we play it freezes up and wont let get to far.
Our son loves this game but he cant get past the alligators! He fed them the chicken knuckles with the secret sauce but they didnt go to sleep. We tried it multiple times and tried it after shutting down and restarting the iPad. Nothing. Please fix it so he can beat the game.
Theres no sound on any of these games. Bogus. We were really looking forward to play these games. Spent $30 on the bundle and turns out to be a waste of time and money. Please fix or issue a refund.
Do not buy this game until they fix the Punch Card route. You will not be able to draw on the easel and thus will not be able to finish the game. P.S. This IS a great game that just needs a patch.

Its stupidly amazing how this company is selling all these games at prices mobile GTA games are sold, with NO SOUND. Its 2020 people, dont tell us its impossible to add the sound. The sounds were literally half the game.
We were so happy to see this on the App Store and even happier to see that the game plays exactly as the original PC game. Our only complaint is that the orientation is wrong… We were trying to cast the game on our Apple TV but its stuck in portrait orientation with the screen on its side. 5 stars if they can push a fix for it. Id love to show this at our next family reunion, we grew up on HE games.
Youll spend more time trying to get the gadget pocket to slide out than playing the actual game. It was really irritating spending 7 minutes just to get the pocket open, especially towards the end of the game. Super cool throw back though.
Worked great first couple times played through and now anytime you try to push on corners to get your gadgets or spy watch it sends you to menu screen and crashes the game every time have even tried deleting and redownloading and nothing works.
This game is amazing and is just like the computer version. It reminds us of when we played these as a kid and allows us to take a trip down memory lane. It's also great for any age as it is a fun and entertaining game. We would recommend this game for kids if you want a game that will keep them busy for a while. It's awesome and would highly recommend. On a plus, it's really not that outdated even though it's from about 10-20 years ago. It compares with today's games. We would also recommend trying the other two "Spy Fox" games, (Operation Ozone Layer and Some Assembly Required) as these are just as fun and entertaining.
We remember playing these games as a kid in the 90's. One day out of the blue we got a craving to play them again. Sadly we dont have a computer running Windows 98. We were super exited to find these in the app store. Even as an adult we find them entertaining to pass some time. For kids it has a lot of subtle messages for kids to learn. There is also puzzles to get their brains things. We do believe these are best played on ipad but they work fine on our iphone.

Playing on a 6s and there's a cursor error where it won't allow us to get spy fox's pocket to pop up on the screen to use his gadgets. Super bummed we paid $5 for a game we can't play. Please fix.
When we try to open this app it immediately crashes, it blinks black and then goes back yo the main screen. Pretty unhappy as this was tonight's family entertainment and we were very excited about.
We used to love this game as a kid so we bought it for our niece and we can't open his gadgets!! Kind of sad that we had to pay for a game that glitches and we can't play. Please fix soon.
Love the game. We would prefer that the screen have those black bars on the side rather than be stretched out on the iPhone app, because it looks nicer than just stretching out the picture when the aspect ratio doesn't fit. We got the rest once they were available.

We love spy fox and we were so excited when we found out there was an iPad version, it's great and exactly like the original one , the only bad thing about it is the mouse cursor, it doesn't move and respond well which makes the game very hard to play, it should be like a normal iPad app where you can just click it. That's the only thing we would change other then that it is great and like the original.
Nostalgia! The dialogue in this game is far better than we remember it being. The Mouse style play is horrid; it needs update to a modern iOS game. That said, it isn't as horrible on an iPad or iPad Pro and can actually be enjoyable. However, with a bit of time to rid this of Save/Load and Mouse and transition to iOS and Game Center and we'd pay 30 bucks a game.
As much as we enjoy the Spy Fox games, we didn't like it when you added the mouse cursor. We were unable to switch to the next spy gadget in the vending machine. Plus lowering the temperature of the piranha tank made it frustrating. Please remove the cursor in these games, please.
We love Spy Fox and since we can no longer play the computer game we looked for it as an app. We were thrilled to find it, but it's buggy and frustrating! Instead of a useless and faulty cursor, they should make the app clickable. The cursor was find for a computer game but an app. Plus, it doesn't work, jumps all over the place and you have to guess where you can click. Extremely frustrating.
The game was good at first, but when we needed a gadget we couldn't open the menu to get it. We looked at the ratings they were good. The comments were also good. Most people thought they were great others not so much. We love the game, but our only question is why does it work for other people and not us.
This game is great and worth getting if you remember it from when it was on PC. Brings back lots of good memories. We've played through twice and haven't had any issues.
We love this game, but the new version won't let you tap on anything useful in the Navigation room of the USS Deadweight. Can't tap on the map, lizard guy, or the door to get out.
You cant leave the ship once you enter well at least only in the captain's area where you have to let the guy go home.

The nostalgia is setting in! Lol. We had ALL the Humongous games as a kid, even the baseball, soccer, football and basketball ones. Please make them all! We're ready to delete every other app on our phone for space.
Please release the rest on iPad too, we need them.
This game is fun for all ages, very humorous and full of problem solving. We highly recommend it, it's very satisfying.
First off we have plus this game on iPhone 4S, and 5 and the iPad air with no issues we started out playing Humongous games on CD in the 90s and have made sure to get them games into any young kids hands to make sure they kept being played. We have spent countless hours over the years revisiting these charming games Spy Fox being our favorite. They are suited for a younger audience and the way the games change after each play through means lots of time to enjoy them. Even if they dont follow the story tapping just about anywhere causes charming animations of bugs marching across the screen the pelican showing his tattoos (they change every time) or a frog in the punch bowl swimming laps make for hours of fun. Ourselves and 2 sisters loved these games and even as we go off to college and start out own lives love we love to see them make their way to our phones.
Didn't know about this when it originally came out. Recommended on iOS.

Have always loved these games since we were a kid and love being able to play it again after computer disks became obsolete on most computers. Can't wait for more spy fox games to come out.

We love this game and we own all the other ones that are out, but we would love to see and own the sequels that aren't out on the App Store, like Spy Fox has 2 sequels, it would be nice to have the whole set. It would also be nice if this game had the different storyline mechanics like Pajama Sam or Putt Putt do. All in all, still a great game.

We loved the spy fox computer games growing up and we are so happy they made this into an app! We loved playing this game and only hope that they come out with the other spy fox adventures as well! We would definitely purchase them too.
