Solomon's Keep is a Roleplaying game from Raptisoft, first launched in 3rd April 2010.
It’s rated 12+ and currently has 1,742+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Solomon's Keep Stand Out

Near the town of Dead Hawg, past the Grimwood, at the very PEAK of Mount Awful, there stands a crumbling tower of mortar and stone.

Deep within this foul edifice, the blackest necromancer of modern times, Solomon Dark, sits on his horrible throne.

As a near graduate of the Wizarding College, your final exam is to storm Solomon's Keep. Dispatch the dark wizard, loot his evil possessions, unbind his horrific minions, and prove to your teachers once and for all that you're not as stupid as you look.

In Solomon's Keep, you move your wizard with one thumb, and fire magic spells with the other. As you destroy enemies, you earn experience points. Gain enough experience, and you'll gain a level, and can select new skills to help you ascend the tower.

Along the way you'll find gold and magic items. Your helpful teachers are there to explain the ins and outs of wizarding, sell you a few useful items, and even give you a few tips to improve your skills.

Along the way you'll encounter Solomon's skeletons, zombies, imps, and more. You might even encounter an undead king, and Solomon's meticulously reconstructed maggot vomiting skeletal dragon.

You'll have a chance to master 21 skills and wield over 50 magic, rare, and epic weapons.

With random dungeons and monsters, Solomon's Keep offers infinite replayability. It's never the same game twice!

If you're fond of action RPGs, Solomon's Keep will satisfy your black heart.

This Roleplaying game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

We love this game and it would be better if it had controller support.

Hours and hours of play. Lots of fun combos to try out. Enjoy the sense of humor.

This is an oldie but a goodie. Make Part 2.

We absolutely love this game, we've been playing it since we were in elementary school on our old ipod touch and now im in college. Really fun and a blast to play, brings us back to simpler times Super fun gameplay and repeatable with many things to unlock.

We love this game. It will always have a place in our heart. We used to play this game on our iPod touch every Christmas Eve while trying to fall asleep. Keeping that tradition alive.

Im going to start port begging for Nintendo Switch ports of all the mobile games we liked or wanted to try but didnt have the space for. Id like to see this on Switch, even if its old.

Ive played this game again and again. Every couple of years we download it and play it again. Great fun. Well designed.

Tl;dr: easy controls, auto-mute ads, good game. Ive beaten and returned to SK multiple times, let us explain why. Its a twin stick wizard blasting game. You fight hordes of undead with your growing magic as you fight to stop Solomon. The core idea is simple, controls are easy, and its never hard to grasp how you control your power. Solomon keeps expanding his forces, as do you. Both your play style and enemies will evolve as you level up and clear floors. Powerful items will shape how you cover your weaknesses or amplify your strengths. New foes will keep you on your feet, and SK moves fast enough to never feel stale. SK is not an ad-blasting mobile game. In any game we have never seen one so friendly with its ads. Most games will have ultra loud ads at every opportunity. SKs own music is way louder than any ad because they automatically mute all of them for you. Tried amping volume to max during one, nothing. When Wi-Fi is off, SK does still have ads. But these are for their other games and have an X visible from the start, very unobtrusive. On top of all that, SK doesnt ask for payment. Its just a fun little game from the old days. Overall, SK is a blast, a perfect little game to fit on your phone. Itd fair well on anything, though, from Xbox to PC. Its no mobile game, but a piece of tech just waiting to jive you joy. To the devs, good work on making a beautiful game and keeping it beautiful.

13 years later, we still love picking up this game and playing it for hours. Would love if they updated it with controller support. We wish they would come out with a sequel or something. The only issue we have though is that although we paid for this and Solomons boneyard back in 2010, we still get ads. Restoring purchases does nothing. Had reached out to support and they gave us codes to get rid of the ads. However, with us having new devices, the ads came back.

We have Solomons Boneyard and Solomons Keep. Can we please get a new game? Ive been playing these games for so many years, lets tackle a new location! Solomons Castle? Solomons Swamp? We. Need. More.

We had to restart the game several times and now it does not even start it begins then a white screen shows up then we go back to our apps….we tried over and over but its the same result…we had to delete and still restored and it keeps happening.

Its a decent game thats easy to catch on, only downside is that it does crash a lot when loading into the next floor or leaving the dungeon though the magic key, it can become easily frustrating because you lose all your progress prior to your last load in* decent game overall but not a fan of the crashing.

We loved these games, the only reason we stopped playing was cause yall stopped updating. When we mean updating, there has been 0 updates with substance. Just updates to keep the game running. Which we do appreciate. It would be nice if yall actually updated the game, new maps, new enemies, new characters. Or just a whole new solomons game.

This game isnt really bad it just needs a little more to be a awesome wizard game. Whats the gold coins for? Different color robes for your wizard. Quality of picture could be better.

We played this game years and years ago when it first came out, and loved it. We reinstalled it a month ago and have been playing it and having even more fun then before! Now that Im an adult we finally get some of the subtle things the passive skills do. Super cool game.

Played this game when the iPhone 3G was barely coming out. Finally found it again. Cant wait to see our childhood memories flash back.

Update many years later: Solomons Keep holds up well. We just played through in 2021 and am still pleased with the game. -=-=-=-=-=-=- Solomon's Keep is a fine RPG. Not the best one for the iOS we've ever played, but it's still fun. It's a bit limited, though. It's weak on plot, you can only choose from one character, and all your attacks are magical ranged weapons, but it's still a fun game. The graphics are quite good, even when blown up on our tablet, and the shapes of the levels are randomly generated so you can play through multiple times. We've spent quite a few hours playing this game, going through it twice. If you're looking for an inexpensive iOS RPG, you probably won't be disappointed by this one.

This game is not for the feint of heart! It takes strategical leveling, gear slotting, and combat. There are times where we want to delete this game. That quickly fades and we find ourselves pressing forward. It is well worth the struggles that come with to enjoy the feeling of triumph.

We still play it. Great work guys. All around.

Ive played this game for years. Its just so good. The gameplay changes based on different skills you can get, so its always fresh. If there is going to be a part 3 to this game count us in.

We love this game so much. Great job Raptisoft.

Amazing game, just one quick question for the developers… We couldnt find where to purchase the wizards skins. Are you able to change skins or not.

A great mix of endless variation in the rooms and monsters and a fascinating character evolution system. Year after year we rediscover this and become addicted all over again.

Outstanding game, been playing it for years wow and it still here.

U should make it open world game not in just one Cancel and a lot of floors.

If game is deleted and reinstalled, we start from the beginning. Can there be a save system like with Game Center, Facebook, Discord, or anything.

We first got this game a week ago and our only complaint was that most of the UI was missing but that got fixed today and now its a lot more fun.

The combat in this game is fun and enjoyable, but its obscene that you have to walk back through literally the entire game to visit the shop and buy items, which is the only way to acquire new staffs and rings. We agree that the movement gets a bit repetitive.

Idk about you guys but our game crashes constantly. Ive uninstalled and still the crashing persists. Please fix if you can. Otherwise good game.

Was very fun and we love the concept of it but we personally found the controls to be disgustingly awful. If we had a controller we think this game would be fantastic, but it blows on an iPhone. This is our personal opinion, cause its obviously a great game with these reviews.

We used to love this game play it all the time back when there were no ads. Now you cant go through a single door without seeing an ad which makes it so that progress is annoying. Why? And it cost like $4 to get rid of the ads. Ridiculous. Five star game brought down by so many ads. Such a shame.

The main method of increasing the difficulty in this game is just increasing the amount of health and damage of enemies. The final boss on higher difficulty levels one-hit kills with any ability that isnt summoning monsters and uses an invincibility shield to avoid taking damage for more than a second the entire fight. Its balanced for people trying to cheese the game, not for people playing the game for fun. That said, the character building options are very fun. Melding spells feels awesome because you can only know one melded spell, so you cant swap them out quickly; and you can only make a melded spell every five levels. It doesnt get any more powerful until you meld it again, making it an interesting decision whether to meld now or later. The secondary abilities are also very fun to use, but we wish we didnt have to keep magic shield as one of our secondary skills. If you dont have magic shield up at all times, youll get killed extremely quickly, even with boosted max HP and damage resistance.

We love this game dont get us wrong but the ads are annoying. Every time we step in any door an ad pops up. So you have to watch an ad every 30 seconds. Also getting back out of the door again will make u watch another ad its ridiculous. Dont waste your time getting this app.

Please add. Its a good game, better with sticks.

Nice game but ad system causes crashes.

Its a great and addicting game but the text boxes are messed up for dialogue and for purchasing menus on iPhone X. Great game for older phones.

Loaded and played, no longer loads. No title screen just blank white screen. Too bad.

Downloading it because theres no other game that is offline like this. Make more please, If yall need money Ill pay for the game yall create.

This game platform id amazingggg and so fun to play, both SK and SB are very very very much so endless fun. This game could possibly blow up if it were to have a good multiplayer and more levels for solo! The mechanics and item layout is just so easy and fun to work with and we could defiantly see this being very big.

Cant believe Ive been playing this game since freshman year… That was 8 years ago. PLEASE MAKE MORE.

We used to play this game all the time when we were young. We got into it again to relive our youth. And man. Has it been a trip. We only have one complaint. The amount of ADs. Other than the amount of ads its been one hell of a trip through our childhood.

Okay, we dont usually leave reviews, but this game is awesome. Ive had it for years and its never gotten old. It has super easy controls, it doesnt bombard you with ads all the time, its enough of a challenge to keep you playing, and its just generally cool to blow up skeletons ;).

This is an amazing game no doubt Ive found ourselves playing it over and over again throughout the years but we cant help but feel like it use to be a more challenging game and most definitely had more than 30 floors to it.

Classic go to game. We truly wish we could find others that are as simple yet engaging and fun to play. Lovely balance of difficulty with levels increasing as you go. Well done.

We love this game but we wish you could implement a multiplayer mode Also when is the computer version coming.

One of the best mobile games Ive found. Great gameplay, nice modern retro feeling to it. The twin stick is great, lets you shoot where you want. Highly recommended for pros and noobs alike.

For those of you who want to know how to beat the game easily in any difficulty, choose Ice Binding as your first spell. You need it because of its low mana cost overall, high aoe, and high damage. Buy anything in the shop that gives you damage and also place heavy importance mana reduction/increasing items. Focus on maxing your Ice Binding (dont get distracted by other skills). Always level Battle Mage whenever possible. Put a decent amount of points (not too many) into channel mana. And put less importance on mana/hp up (level it if everything else is worse). Later on youll want to max out your poison resistance (due to the large amount of poison damage youll take), put a couple levels into rush, one or two levels in magic shield (if you dont have levels in HP up already), and spend your extra gold in experience for more levels. For Ice Binding upgrades, level 1 level in chill wind early (to knock away arrows and push back enemies), put 3-4 levels in cone of ice mid-late, and upgrade damage whenever possible. For secondary skills you want to level 1 level in the fire blast as this is going to be your main clear/getaway tool in traps (Explosions reach all ends of the room, knock back strong enemies and kill weak enemies. The knockback gives you space to work with, which magic circle doesnt give). Fire blast is undeniably the strongest secondary because of the damage+knockback but teleport can also be a very useful getaway tool. The last and most important tip is to add 1 level into Lightning and learn dual wielding Frost Laser by floor 10 – 12. This will be your main source of ranged damage (great against Solomon) and will cost noticeably less mana which makes it an excellent single target high DPS option. With this build you can rip through hordes of anything in seconds. No kidding. AOE is king in this game, any other build will be very mana inefficient due to overkill. Dont feel too bad if you die, a big part of the game is luck. You need to be lucky enough to get good items and good upgrades for a run to be amazing. However, running this build can minimize the chance that you lose because it is very forgiving and strong even with a suboptimal run. TL;DR Start with Ice Binding. Focus on damage first, then get your utility (poison resist, cone of ice, rush) later. Get one point of chill wind early as it can knock away arrows. End the game by getting one point into lightning to get Frost Laser. Edit: its great to see that the dev is still working on improving these games! Looking forward to the steam release. Hopefully its going well.

We love this game! When we were young, our dad would give us his phone and we would play this game nonstop! We wasnt paying attention to what it was called, but we had it in our memory for YEARS. And one time later, we were shown to it again. So now we always keep it in our game section so we can play it! We recommend you download this game, but chances are you already did.

It amazing just sometimes the controls freak out and we cant move or attack.

If you run into an issue reach out to the developer. They provide excellent customer support. Could we please get iCloud save support.
