In the lite version description it says the lite version has 10 levels to play. We were very disappointed when it would not let us move past level 5 without purchasing. We really like all the games in the series but we wish the description was truthful so we could decide if it is worth our time to download and try this game.

We were prompted to buy the full version, did, but nothing. It keeps asking for us to upgrade again, no option to "reload in-app purchases" (as another app had), etc. We are displeased with a game that tries to scam money, whether by intent or bad programming.

It's hopeless. It forces you to start at level on each time and does not register upgrade purchase. Enjoy the $.99 because we're deleting the app since it's a waste of time. Used to be a great game.
We have had this game for a long time, but now it won't remember our name and every time we want to play we have to begin at level 1. Bummer.
With the new iOS update, the game no longer works.
We purchased the full version of this app. After purchase, which we have a receipt from the Apple App Store, the game continually asks us to purchase the game, confirm, reopen app and the process starts all over again. We have problems with Blitz as well, so this seems to be a pattern of issues. If this is not resolved soon, we will file a complaint with the Apple App Store to try to get a refund.

We have played this often over the last few years, but have't for a few months. Now it won't work, and going to their web site just takes you back to the app store. It's a five when it works.
Trust us when we say we don't like leaving bad feed back. We are angry as we've purchased the treasurer of montezuma games and there always seems to be something that happens. One time, the game was fine and then it would crash on a specific level…they NEVER fixed it. Another time, an update we the game erased all your progress and made you start completely over. It's a trend with these people…. And their support is horrible. We sent them an email several times and they kept telling us they had plans to fix the issues…truth is, they never did fix the one with the level problem. Despite the fact we paid for the game. We got shafted on that one… So now, they've broken the free and the paid version of this game with a recent update…oh yeah…to FIX minor bugs. We guess that's developer speak for break MAJORly. Folks, the games they make are good…no question. But the support and research, testing and development is the worst out there. Their idea of "fixing" a game is to create another version of the game….so now there is a version 3 of montezumas. We're willing to bet a paycheck that one will break soon if it hasn't already…. Don't spend your money on this game or the developer. You'll be sorry. If not today, just wait for the next "minor bug fix" Chuck.
We're trying the ap for free, thank goodness, because it crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME we play it. There's no way we're buying this and we hope you don't waste your money.
We have played this game hundreds of times and used to love it. Now, with latest updates it crashes regularly and is virtually impossible to play. Tech support said reload it, then play. It still doesn't work!! Very unstable. Don't buy until fix confirmed after feb 15, 2012.

A fun game that will entrance you from the moment you begin playing. It's a mesmerizing addiction, good for passing time while you wait for appointments or relax. Two thumbs way up.
We bought the game after the update but it does not pass the black screen. Please your help to take care of the issue. We have not been able to play it once since we bought it. Let us know if there is another solution with this problem.
Loved montezuma until we installed the update and can no longer open it. Had to resort back to the lite version while we wait for them to fix the crash. PLEASE FIX THE CRASH ON OUR PURCHASED VERSIONS.
The free version is fun with the purchased version more challenging. We do not recommend purchasing the full version until it is fixed. As of the update on Nov. 24, 2011, the system crashes and does not load, you just get a black screen. Save your money. It's been 3 weeks and no fix or retraction of the upgrade that makes it crash. You might want to look at other gaming companies instead.
The app is messed up. Don't waste your money. It stops working when you update it.
When we upgraded to the new version, the game would not open. We wrote to Alawar and was told to reinstall the game. We responded with a question asking if all the levels we have played would be lost and received no response. We had gotten to an advanced level.Note also that all the bad reviews, and there were many,complaining about the new version of the game crashing have mysteriously disappeared. It's not about the price. It's about not supporting a company that treats its customers very badly and apparently puts products on the market that are not fully tested, You've been warned.
We can't stop playing this game, it is so addictive. We want to get the full version.
The music and graphics are well done and if you like these types of matching games, you will not be disappointed. Play it over and over.

This is one of the best games we have played. The only thing we found wrong is it will tell you no more moves. There are still moves but a new screen comes up. Hate when that happens because we could have maybe won the level.

Love the game. Exquisite attention to detail in every aspect. However, the timer ruins an enjoyable experience. And we can't tell you how many times we are sitting at 1 piece away from winning a level and there are no more gems on the map, or the 1 gem is locked away somewhere in a corner.
So happy to find the game on iPad. We loved this on our pc and it still rocks on iPad. The pressure of the timing is the best. We're sure we will spend hours playing this addictive game.
