What Makes Fun Bridge Stand Out
Join over 170,000 avid players on the most loved bridge app in the world! Play online bridge, learn the game and progress at your own pace. With Funbridge, enjoy playing duplicate or multiplayer bridge anywhere, anytime!
Bridge is an exciting card game played by four players in two teams of two called “partnerships”. The bridge partners sit opposite each other at a table. The game of bridge consists of a number of “deals” (also “boards” or “hands”) and involves two stages: there is an “auction” (also called “bidding”) to determine the contract to be made, and then the “card play” where you must reach the goal set.
On Funbridge, you play in South, whereas North, East and West are played by a specialized artificial intelligence, the same for all players. So, you don’t need to wait for other players to play bridge. The AI is available 24/7 to allow you to play bridge whenever you want.
You can also play multiplayer bridge with your bridge friends or players from all over the world.
Funbridge offers a unique game experience by enabling all players to play the same bridge deals. The objective is simple: score the highest and compare yourself to other bridge players in dedicated rankings.
Whether you’re a beginner, back to the game or an expert, Funbridge is here to help you while you progress in bridge.

Community Insight:
We Give It Four Stars Thank you for the Appt.
Funbridge is anything but fun. Your programmers must be sadistic since Funbridge always wins. It would be nice if you had your programmers sit down with average or even below average players to let us win once in a while. Here are a few examples where you could improve your program. When playing in a no trump contract the opponents opening lead is the 4th from his longest suit. Too often your program will lead a diamon, e.g, when it has only 3 small diamonds? Another example is having partner pass after you bid 1 nt! And again, let us once in a while have a successful finesse.
Great games. But frequent server errors disrupt or prevent play. Or slow the rate of play unbearably. Used to be fast, but progressively slower. Not our device. Too bad.
Bids are not accurate for beginner level.
It is expensive to subscribe to the full privileges, but it keeps us busy and happy at least one or two hours a day. Our main criticisms: 1. The robots populating your table are not perfect, and more than once we found ourselves on an impossible 7 NT contract or other. 2. The post play analysis is helpful, but it is a double dummy analysis, telling you, for example, you should have finessed against East because the queen was there. No comments on improving your play percentage wise. 3. Customer support is very inefficient, we report obvious bugs and they, at first, keep sending us the usual uninstall the application and reinstall and check if the problem was resolved, almost insulting.
Could not find way to sort cards differently. Not everyone sorts left to right descending. Yellow color for diamonds? Where did that come from. Show all hand full cards, then you wont need two clicks selecting card with opening full suit first. No need to ask twice if we want to bid this or if we want to play particular card. Where are settings for bidding conventions.
Its a well made app, with a good ui and everything. But there is an add every time you play a hand unless you get the premium, so it gets really annoying.
All the Conventions are extremely confusing & are inconsistent with explanations giventrying to follow the guidelines that are given when bidding in relation to high card points & distribution is also confusing.
This is a great app, but recently one of the great features disappeared. There used to be advice when you clicked on the lightbulb in the practice section when you replay them. Now when you click on the bulb it says advice isnt available. We hope itll come back.
In evaluation of our bidding they say we only had 4 cards when we had 5.
Ive been playing for several years here. Its a nice place to play whenever you have a few minutes.
Maybe its in there, but it would be nice to have a feature where you could examine a bid, and see why that bid was made. Sometimes, we are totally perplexed after the bidding process to find that, for example, we bid 4 spades, only to find that we have a 5 or six spades between us. Our guess is that there is some convention that we are not aware of, that caused major miscommunication between ourselves and our partner. It would be nice to know what that miscommunication was.

Before we were forced to update Fun Bridge, we could click on a bid and an explanation would be given. Now we get a bid with an alert and we havent a clue what it means. We forget the exact wording but its something like check somewhere else to see what it means. Where and how do we find what an alert means??? Why cant we click on a bid and see what Fun Bridge thinks it means when we havent a clue.
The game works well and the hands are challenging, but the evaluation of the play and or bidding needs work. The suggestions for bidding often lead to inferior and/or unmakeable contracts. And the so-called mistakes in play are often only mistakes if you know where all the cards are.
No way to contact the developer of the app. No way to abort a single deal after cards have been dealt. You have play the entire hand. You will not be allowed proceed unless you finish the last hand. Sometimes your AI partner comes up with off the wall bid. Still good practice of card play. Not renewing after initial free period. After our 2-star review Funbridge contacted us via Apple to provide a means to contact them via zendesk! This is NOT available to everyone in Funbridge unless they complain via Apple.
This app is great when its up and working. However, there is either server maintenance or some server error preventing us from logging in at LEAST once a week, often for the entire evening. We pay $15/month for a subscription and that is honestly an unacceptable amount of downtime. Getting super fed up with it.
Ive been to many apps do games but this one is the best.
We liked so much about this game, but we wish there was a way to start over when you see the dummy and know the bidding went very wrong. We had results varying from the top to nearer the bottom , and our last game we were AT the bottom. We somehow ended up in 6 hearts stead of the makable 6 clubs! That did it for us; we had to delete the app since we just cant get the bidding figured out.
If it were not for loosing the first hand and loose systematically the next 4, we would have put 5 stars.
We started playing party bridge many years ago. Then started to learn duplicate. We played that for some time and after we moved just stopped. We have found FunBridge to be a good way to practice and learn. However, we find it a problem in explaining bids. We try to learn from the bids, both ours and opponents. However far too often, and more so with our partners bid, we find their bids misleading especially with card count. It often results in not making the contract. Another aspect is the card play. In most cases its the play of other hands. It most often occurs with NT contracts. We cant count how many times we are playing in NT, go down 1 or two, only to see the other players have made it and even made 1 or 2 over tricks. The bidding was the same as ours, but the leads from their opponents set up easy making of the contract. They get a very high score, and we are in the teens, Maybe its something we are missing how FunBridge works, but we thought we are being judged against our play on the same hand being played by opponents playing the same against all. Just wanted to sound off on this. If it were not for those aspects, we would have rated it a 4 or 5 Star.
We LOVE the app & taught ourselves how to play bridge with the practice modules. We are leaving the app because the developers are greedy & jacked up the monthly price. Shaking down your devoted players – not a good look Funbridge.
Im best off putting our thoughts in summary form for this app: Good: For a game whose teachers are notorious for being hostile towards new players (experience speaking), FunBridge makes a better effort to get you comfortable. A beginner course is available. There are tournaments that focus just on cardplay. Customer service is responsive, are listeners first, and open to ideas. Bad: The lessons arent quite as beginner friendly as they should be. As of when we are typing this, none of the beginner lessons or Masterclasses are presented lecture-style in a classroom setting with a real physical whiteboard. As somebody who needs lessons presented this way and hasnt found a tutor genuinely willing to do this, the lack of real lecture videos makes the game too hard to get a grip on because we cant parse out whats important from PowerPoint slides. Thats the big reason why we cant give this five stars. Make the lessons accessible to people who learn differently, and youll get that fifth star.
Our only complaint is the frequent freezing up when we are playing a game.
No customer support. We paid but cant access it, get internal server error message when everything else works perfectly.
Based on the disclosure within the app, only the first few games are free then you have to pay. Deleted.
Best teaching aide on the market.
We love this online Bridge site! Its a lot of fun, yet it allows you to learn! You are given the chance to replay games, which makes it a pleasant learning experience.
We love playing here with people from all over the world. Not only is it fun, but its an excellent learning tool for bridge. WARNING TO THOSE EASILY ADDICTED: This is an addictive site for those who like a great mind games. On the plus side, you can meet people who share your love for the game.
Being able to see how other players have bid and played the hand is golden.
Great game and fabulous learning experience.
Helps clarify what a bid means in regular play. Shares point spread, but offers no hints as to best bid.
We enjoy Fun Bridge very much but the bidding process difficult. We have backed up from playing to going through the lessons and we feel much better.
We use this app all the time for several reasons: great user interface, challenging hands, and a great mix of international players. Unfortunately, the robots bidding and card play are biased and hurt your bridge game more than help it. Among them are: 1. Bad English: you cant understand what certain bids are intended to mean. 2. Erratic bids: Even if you set up your bidding system carefully, the bridge engine doesnt use your preferences. It seems to be stuck on the French 5 card major system. 3. Statistical anomalies abound, making this a poor learning tool. 4. Over 80% of finesses fail. 5. Robot partner makes a poor lead to declarers ace almost 100% of the time. 6. Robot opponents underbid 50% of the time.
The ads are too loud. We can turn off sounds in the app, but ads are still super loud.
They have greatly improved screen freezes but it still stalls when lots of players are on! Best bridge game out there just the same.
We have an up to date browser on our pc and wait forever for the game to launch. Love it when it does, but life is short.
This is a great app, but for those of us who pay a subscription, its ridiculous that you show us ads. Please remove the ads.
North oftentimes makes erroneous bids, in that the written explanation provided by FunBridge is inaccurate. North oftentimes also makes weird defensive plays, primarily by leading the wrong suit or failing to return souths original lead.
This app is such a rip off for like $130 year!! Youre scored each hand against an opponent but we arent even playing the same hands!!! How is that fair? In true duplicate everyone plays the same hands fr. The same direction. East plays East. Etc. In Funbridge we may be West but our opponent plays the same cards from East. Yet we are each scored on who played the hand best. SHOULD BE SAME HAND FROM SAME SEAT to score equitably. Ill stick with BridgeBase for free.
Cant belong to two teams. Bummer.
Im new to bridge, but sometimes our computer partner cant stop bidding. It gets us in trouble. Also, supposedly 50% of the time the opponent has the higher card when we attempt to finesse. We find the opponent always has the higher card. Like we said, we are just learning bridge, but this does not seem right.
We love the app, and am very appreciative of its functionality and your work on it. The most recent update has severely degraded the performance of the app, with it taking several seconds, at times, for the robots to respond. It sometime takes so long we lose track of what was happening in the play of the hand. It also takes a long time for the meanings of certain bids to be loaded now, too. Please fix soon.
We cannot even open it! We clicked the app icon and it opens to an add for a special bridge leeson offee. We hi the menu and choose Play, and tell us to download it! We click download, even though its already on our iphone 12. And it brings us back to the ad. Ive tried several times with the same results. And, yes, we didnt checked that we were on the all and not on an internet app.
The reason we are astonished by the fact that the app is not free is very simple. Absolutely nothing in this app works. Bidding doesn't work – it gets stuck at every bid by the opponents and you have to exit and rejoin. After every… Single …. Bid!!! Claiming tricks completely hangs the app too. Starting a new deal with a partner is a miracle to succeed without errors or need to restart… How is that worth $100 a year.
Playing in a 4 S contract we were void in hearts. Tried to trump EW with spade and computer took trick with their 10 heart trick. Unable to report.
Frustrating, we know our partner is overbidding. Maybe that can be changed.
We agree with other players. The AI bidding is often totally wrong. And we go down because of the impossible bid. Correct this please.
Funbridge has an excellent user interface and interesting hand selection but that's about it: downhill from there. 1. Engine is subject to wild, irrational bids frequently. 2. Ignores probabilities and biases play to make the Robot perform better 3. Robot partner makes consistently bad leads on defense designed to help the robot opposition. Essentially, you are playing against three players. Robot opposition makes plays that takes advantage of Robot knowing what is in all four hands: in other words, cheating. 4. Over-uses bidding opponent's suit for take-out purposes when a simple take-out double would save bidding space. 5. English bid descriptions are poorly written, often wrong, and inconsistent in following bid conventions. 6. Custom bid criteria are poorly implemented. Standard bid conventions are also poorly implemented resulting in errant bids.
We never go a day without playing a few (or many) tournaments , sometimes we Play in the middle of the night! Our game has improved & Ive learned so much its amazing. This is a great way to help keep our 84 year old brain active. Our husband was our bridge partner for over 25 years, after he passed it was difficult to find a new partner and once we installed Funbridge we were hooked.
