Community Insight:
When we get an add with 30 seconds to play, it will not start. We have to close it and restart, but we get the same result, the clock will not start.
The only complaint is the latest version makes a very rhythmic clicking noise when we play despite having sound effect turned off. It goes away with the volume buttons on the phone or with the volume slider for music. We never use music when we play, Im a bit confused, but its still the best Canfield game going.
Downloaded onto new iPad – current iOS and cards jerking and jumping when we move them. Fine on other iPads and phone. Why?? We did opt to revert to old decor with plain background as we dislike all busy graphics.
There are many options of solitaire games to play. The app runs smoothly. Ive been using this app for several years. Cleanest one we have found.
Keeps us entertained for hours, especially when Im delayed on flights.
** updates 10/5/22- thank you for reading our comments and making quick changes. We have changed back to the original background. We do not need to have our game look like cash app solitaire! This is great! We love this game- many options and did the update today and wish we hadnt. It looks like a cartoon! Its awful. Our mom, who plays many word game just told us last week she has been looking for a solitaire game and we showed her this one- we are nervous she will be disappointed when the update happens for her as well change it back! Why are all updates so juvenile.
Update 10/3/22 Well the developer listened and backgrounds can now be changed Update 8/16/22 we accidentally hit the upgrade button that we have been avoiding for several years. Wish hadnt but cant go back now. Sure would like to change the background color. That black/gray is awful Update 10/17/19 2.0.7 is a big step in the right direction. We still won't install on our newer iPad. Update 10/10/19 Version 2.0.6 is working with iOS 10.3.3. Have played a few games Klondike draw 1. It works but card movement is too choppy. We can't address others complaints about ads because we only play offline. Think we'll keep the old version on our new iPad. Update 10/2/19 Version 2.0.3 still crashing as it did on 9/30/19 with iOS 10.3.3 Updating 9/30/19 So decided to try the latest update on our older ipad with iOS 10.3.3. As soon as we touch the screen when we open the app, it crashes. We were able to delete the last version and restore older version on newer iPad with 12.4.1. Definitely won't put new version on it. Come on, developers- get your act together. We used to love to play the games on this app – no more. We would like to go back to the old version. Will be deleting Couple years ago.
We loved the old version of this game the new version is so difficult to see the cards. We do not like the backgrounds. We liked the plain black background with very bright cards the new cards are dull or muted which makes them hard to read. Please go back to old look. We have played this app for about 10 years.
First, thank you for making so many games available and free. But, the new backgrounds are jarring and the card faces have a ground glass anomaly as well as pallor, making them harder to read. Just sayin.
The visuals are challenging. No matter how you play Yukon you loose. Ridiculous. Will play this less and less.
We woke up and our go to time passer is ruined. Whenever we try to play a game (and win) it says that hand has already been won today and the glitches out. We tried using the send feedback option but that just causes the app to crash. Ive been using this app for well over 6 years now and each update makes it a little worse. This one just tanked the entire app! If you guys fix the app, then Ill fix our rating. Update: its been two months… No change.
With the latest update, the cumulative score does not update in the Leaderboard.
This is a well made card game and you can remove ads for $3.99 as so worth it. THANKS to the developer for a nice update.
Have no idea whats going on with this app, but since all the updates, it freezes and card movements are jerky. We hate all the ads. Liked it much better before all the changes.
We are the IT director for our company, so we know a bit about software. This WAS a great game, but each update ruins it more & more. A year or so ago they completely changed the user interface, totally altering the entire experience for anyone who had been enjoying the game for years! We loved the original interface and cherished the memories of playing the game with our son who passed away from cancer. A more recent update totally screwed up the sound! The volume of the game is now controlled by the RINGER volume and NOT by the normal phone sound volume!! (iPhones have 2 separate volume controls, one for the ringer and a second volume control for everything else, like music, videos, GAMES, etc.) Now if we want to play the game silently, we have to mute or turn down our ringer. But then we forget to turn our ringer back on so that we miss calls or texts. Stupid! We still play this game in memory of our son, but we are continually disappointed in how the developers keep degrading the game.
Ive been a fan of this game for YEARS!!! But we feel lost with the changes… Why did you try to improve on perfection.

We used to enjoy Solitaire Star for few years and use this app several times a day. But unfortunately the last version completely screwed up this fine program. The changes are useless and annoying; the publicities are way too much and invading; the sounds are disturbing ; and it often freezes in the middle of a game, then it doesnt give any chance but starting another game. Very bad changes.
Playing this game for 7 years or so and the changes they just made are horrible, at least for the players. Bad ergonomics and a horrible rash of 10-15 second commercials that could be just as effective in 2. They also hide the icon to exit, so when the bloody thing is over you have to tap over and over to get back to the game….if you can find it. We think we are close to done after over 20k total games over those years. Its giving us a headache.
Ads are very obnoxious and in your face in the updated version. Will not continue to play.
Old version was more fun and easier to use.

Ive had this game for many years! We love solitaire and the many versions this game has to offer. We also love the revamp theyve given it! Feels very sharp and clean! Def worth buying premium.
App is very fast but the ads are more annoying than ever.
Im really not liking the update. Plus we dont like that our scores are lost when the update happened.
We greatly enjoy the new interface. We were even considering buying the full version. But theres one huge issue for us that we cant get past. When an ad plays (between almost every game) it almost always has audio. We have all sound disabled in the game, because we want silence. Even if the phone is in vibrate mode (no sound) the ad still puts out audio. We hesitate paying for the game, which we acknowledge will remove the ads, when the company ignores our personal settings. And the contact link in the game doesnt work, so we cant tell them directly.
It was a great app and we played daily, but after this update, we can't. Granted that we have an iPad 4, but prior updates were no problem. Not everyone can afford to buy the new hardware.
We do not like the new layout. It has made it harder to play and the dark gray makes it harder to see.
Incredibly disappointing update. Game crashes and closes frequently, there are now advertisements that must be watched or X out individually. Update is generally disappointing and frustrating and have started looking for different game.

Played every day to pass time. The latest update change the form and function of the game and to us is unplayable. Was the best, now the worst.
Ive played over 10,000 hands of Russian solitaire on this app. No more. Deleting and finding another app. New interface is awkward to use and constant, intrusive ads make it unplayable.
Latest update ruined app for us, deleting now. Constant ads after every game, unable to rate app from within app, or use other interactive features. Liked old version, hate this upgrade. App now gone same route as other apps, go premium or put up with what we give you for free. So sad, dont mind a few ads to help pay for app, but this version has made it unbearable.

We've been playing this game for over a year now. We LOVE the variety of games and difficulty levels. The only drawback has been the size of the cards for the screen. When we get a long chain of cards–in 40 Thieves, for example– we have to constantly slide the view window up and down to see what we're doing. ***** UPDATE: The loud ads are gone! Thank you! Please offer size adjustment (as mentioned above. A few more games would be great, too. Games we'd like to see are Miss Milligan, Calculation, and an easier La Belle Lucie (with one free draw).
This game is a GREAT stress/boredom reliever! LOVE IT.
Fun games but sex ads pop up while playing. Explicit photos of women's body parts. Not good.
Our go-to game to while away some time.
Stimulates the mind but often set up with the cards in an impossible-to-win position that we find very disconcerting.
