“Spanish First Words with Phonics“ is the first educational application to teach children reading through letter sound (phonics) and letter names that provides the choice between distinción or seseo (differentiated pronunciation of ‹s› and ‹z› or ‹c›) by a simple change in the corresponding button in the settings of the game. The available modes are:
“Letter Names – Distinción ”: The letter names are pronounced with Distinción ( “theta”)
“Letter Names – Seseo ”: The letter names are pronounced with Seseo (“s”)
“Letter Sounds- Distinción ”: The sounds of letters (phonics) are pronounced with Distinción ( “theta”)

We may have bought this when we were a new grandmother… So we don't see the $2 charges. We do know that it has gotten two plus years of good wear for our English speaking granddaughter. At 3 1/2, she just left the house and once again, we had to close this app. That's what it's about, right.
Great tool, but way too expensive. They charge $2 for every few words.
You get far more with free apps than with what we paid for with this one. What you do get is decent but not worth paying for.
Crashes every single time we try to open it. Wish we could get a refund.

Our 20 month old loves this game! It's definitely a great for her to learn spanish other than us speaking it to her.
This is great app to help our kids to learn early Spanish words. It's good enough to keep our kids busy.
We featured the English version of this app on our blog last week because we were so pleased by the sharp graphics quality of the app, along with settings for educators to customize. High five on the privacy policy too – happy to see more developers describing how their app works upfront in the description.

Awesome app! Our daughter loves it just wish there where more words. We like the settings and how you can change how much assistance your child gets. The graphics and sounds are great.
The phonics and the speaker's voice in this app are simply amazing, worth every cent. It would be great if more words were added.
