This game is really good. We like the story, and how every decision u make is crucial for survival. We like to use our imagination to put ourselves in the characters shoes and please trust this game is imagination fuel 10 out of 10 from us.
It is great to find games that are accessible and works with voiceover. This is a wonderful game, if you enjoy reading books and make decisions that affect the character. This is why we purchase the ad free version. However, it seems to only unlock one chapter at a time. This is why we would like to suggest that therapy a full a log made available to players. Thank you and keep up the great work and making this app accessible to all players.
At beginning of chapter 3 the cathedral whenever we choose the two things we uprgade it bugs out and removes the continue button and we cannot progress, pls help.
Incredibly engaging game. Great characters, great story and intrigue. Keeps you constantly glued to whats happening. Good personal expression. Felt like our choices really effected things and mattered. Loved having personal attributes but felt they didnt really have a very big impact. However, abrupt horrible ending. Felt like a complete switch up. Almost like okay your done by now we dont care anymore. Still definitely worth playing and paying for.
We couldnt believe how much we would like this novel. It was intense. Made us feel as if we were there. Incredible. The courage of the group, the deaths, the betrayal was all heart wrenching. This book was better than any zombie movie Ive ever seen. Judging by the incredibly written storyline, the characters, and the overall plot of the story we could tell the developers of this game very intelligent people Im very creative.
We love playing these games Ive honestly spent hours just playing we wish the second one (safe haven) had more parts after you get stuck on the mountain but we understand yall need time cant wait for it.
We Dont know how long it took to create this game but it is really detailed so we would assume it would take a while. This game is definitely worth the 8$ to play.

We have load of the books In this series and at the moment we feel that Exodus has the most depth and ownership of characters and relationships.
This is the cream of the crop when it comes to text based zombie games. We got so invested in these characters! This is coming from a guy who hates reading too. This game is incredible. The paywall is a tad annoying but we feel like it was money well spent (its $6 USD total. First two parts free, last three paid). We say you should just dive headfirst into this game. No second thoughts. Needless to say, we will be getting the sequel. Btw, we got ending 4 :).
Well as you can already tell by the title of our review we have a problem with the game well we think that we have to pay to early in the game we think we should pay for the rest of the game after chapter 5.
First time we played this, we were 13 but couldnt get far into the story due to pay walls. As an adult we managed to cross paths with this game again and now we were capable of playing the game in its entirety and we are SO glad that we could. This Choose Your Own Adventure is extremely captivating, and makes us feel like a kid again wondering what we would do if at this moment, zombies started roaming the Earth. The characters are realistic, the dialogue isnt cheesy, very few moments where it becomes unrealistic in terms of human capability. This game alone has rekindled our creativity spark and we cant stop thinking about building our own world and making an interactive story or game similar to this, and man, just absolutely love this game. We cant even appropriately review this game, zombies are like a special interest to us and this is really the only interactive story that puts you in a zombie apocalypse.
This game is great and fun! We played through this game entirely and felt like we were really there! We think more pictures could make the game more eerie though.
This is an app we use pretty much everyday, the story is very compelling, actual choices impacts, etc. This is something we recommend very much to others and should try it yourself Be sure to play Zombie Exodus Safe Haven if ya want more.
We have read this story a few times over the years. It is one of the best interactive fiction stories we have ever read and will continue to read in the years to come.
Try the first free chapters at the very least, you wont be disappointed. This we vouch safe.

We truly love the game, the first part and second part was a fun and exciting journey and we really wish we could buy the third chapter to resume the gameplay and continue the adventure. Overall is a fun and truly intriguing game where it makes you feel like youre part of the adventures.

Although this game may be quite lengthy. It by far is QUITE! The way to pass the time. With, entertainment, adventure, extreame! Thrills… And is most definitely worth each an every last cent. By far! One of the best accessible games Ive played since the loss of our vision. So in summation, LOVED it. Shining review.
This is the first time Ive played a role game like this. We really enjoyed it! It was worth the money considering the entertainment factor. Our character died a few times, but it really makes you rethink your possible steps. Some of the choices are hard to reason out: we really liked that because it was realistic in a live or die environment. This reads like a book that you dont want to put down. We look forward to future apps from this team.
The story line is so gripping! Any second your afraid you could get infected, shot, or mutilated (and sometimes you do). Also the fact that there are many different options. We just went down one path of one path of one path. The complexity is amazing and we cant wait to explore more of the game.
It was so good we enjoyed the whole ride. Once we started we didnt want to put it down we wanted to finish our characters struggle and see where it all led to. We definitely recommend this game, we feel like this is where the tell tale games was trying for but u guys excuted much better we always felt invested in the characters and their stories.
We loved reading this on our breaks from work and before bed. We loved having the ability to customize our story and make choices that greatly impacted the outcome. We wish there was a way to backtrack mid game so we could venture other options without having to finish or start from the beginning. But overall amazing and a great read.
It will keep you on the edge of your seat well worth the money.
How is this guy not the next J.R.R. Tolkien? This is literally one of the best things Ive ever read… And we got to be the main character.
The best game Ive found. We played for three days and finished it. We NEED MORE. We hope we continue the story or find a different perspective. However there were things that never got tied up loose ends. Is Mindy dead? What about the dreams throughout? Great game great story to need to produce MORE.
Im unlike a lot of the other reviewers in that we really enjoy reading. This include other video games as well, as Im a big fan of the Visual Novel genre. Danganronpa, DDLC, Fate, Steins;Gate, Junipers Knot, etc. Theyre all fantastic games. We were worried about how well this story would keep us interested though, as there are few visual accompaniments to go with the reading, but it turned out to be one of the best pieces of video game storytelling that Ive ever had the pleasure of reading. Ive played through the game numerous times on Steam and will continue to play it over and over through this app.
This and its sequel are fun. We're glad we purchased them. We like most of the Choice of Games games, though.
Ive always loved choose your own adventure books. Combine our love for the zombie post apocalyptic genre and a convenient medium like a smart phone app, and you have pure entertainment. We look forward to getting home to pick up where we left off.
We just finished part III and it is asking us to save our game. Unfortunately, there is no place to record our name or even a button to hit to save it. Im very frustrated! We have paid $ and it seems like the only way to play is if we go back to the beginning. The game was a lot of fun up until this point.
We love it but having to pay more than once to play is just dumb. Fun to play not free to play. Each chapter requires a 2$ fee.
We played this game a year ago and gladly came back to play it. Our issue is that we did in fact purchase the whole game as evidence by the fact we have saved chapters under our email account. Its infuriating to see the same restoration box and confusing add to why it wont let us play all chapters.
We dont mind supporting developers, and paid $1.99 thinking this would be all until we realized we would have to pay for every chapter $1.99. We didnt even know how many chapters there are and have not read further. Very disappointed. Plus ads on the bottom. If you dont want ads another $1.99. Little pricey considering Ive read a bunch of text based games/stories which are more forthright in their pricing strategy and way cheaper. Another thing bothering us. Im female. It seems Im a male throughout. Why even give us the option right bro. Lots is speeling (lol) mistakes. Makes it, not so polished.
The story is good and the game is fun but we strongly feel that the developer is a bit greedy. A similar game like this is usually priced around $2 – $5 max, paying 2 bucks for every chapter is kinda ridiculous. A mobile text adventure game should not cost so much. Love the game otherwise.
The best game we have ever played the game just feels like Im legitimately in a zombie apocalypse. When we first started the game we wanted our character to be like us strong and kind as the game progressed and our choices reflected our characteristics as morale started dropping and people started dying and raids zombie attacks we felt ourselves changing our responses and actions as if Im in the game. That being said this is the best we have ever played.
We enjoyed the story as we read it, but paying at every Whats Next? Or every major shift of scenery part of the game seems unnecessary? It took the life of the story away when we were just getting excited for whats next that we would have to pay. Why not make the app one full price instead of stringing people out and making them pay more.
You get through parts 1 and 2 and then get to part three and you have to buy it to go on. So its not really free.
We played this series as it was being released and we had bought ever episode. We love a good story especially a choose your own adventure or choice based story told in a compelling and dynamic way. Sadly our purchases no longer register as us having owned them with our iPhone vrs when we were android. We may consider buying the series again. Id rather replay the series and then buy the new episodes.

Very well-written, exciting and extensive as free Choice of Games go. You can also pay to continue, but this one actually ends at a logical stopping point rather than a cliffhanger, which is nice. Outstanding.
This is a great story. Trouble is, we got charged twice. We at first turned down continuing to part 3. Then we were like, never mind, we wanna see what happens. We go, pay the $2, and get sent to the very START of the story. Which we thought whatever, we can choose to go to part 3 as we remembered from when we first started. We click to go there only to get charged yet again. What the heck? We want our first $2 back please.
We really enjoyed this game/story. The extra few bucks we spent to get access to the entire story were well spent. We were surprised at the length of the story. If you're a fan of choose your adventure stories, you should love this one. It's great that we can now have much more evolved interactive stories that let you make more nuanced decisions. We had two issues with the game. First, it's riddled with typos. It's obvious they could use a proofreader to clean up that aspect. Second, there is a spiritual/"ghost" aspect of the game that doesn't need to be there. The explanation for the zombie virus makes sense, and the entire story is based in realism except for that one ghost aspect. It wasn't really necessary to the plot, and we think it detracts from the reality basis of the story. Overall, an enjoyable story that kept us captivated until the end. We highly recommend it.
This game is beyond words. Especially if you are an rpg player. This story is amazingly written. The choice system is excellent. You can really feel immersed in the world and like you choices will have meaning. We have downloaded a lot of apps. But we think that this is the first one that we have liked cared about enough to wright a full review on. If you like rpg games or games where you can chose your own path you will love this game! You will probably like it even if you don't like rpg games and only like story. We honestly think that even considering the simplicity of this game, that it is better done than a lot of big name rpg games with fancy graphics and large teams. Even the few drawings that were added in to help you visualize things were done with quality. The story did not drag there was the right amount of story for the amount of reward and satisfaction of your choices. Once again, it actually felt like your choices have meaning. For a game that had very little visual aid, it gave you a great amount of detail swiftly so things were easy to visualize. In a way the lack of visual aids may have helped this game to make the story feel more personal to you. We have had very few apps which we have kept on our phone after we were done with them but we think that we can confidently say that this will be one of the apps we do keep. It would be great to replay on a car trip, or anytime. With something like 9 different endings. Even if you completed all of the endings we think you could make a different experience almost every time.
