Community Insight:
When was the last time any of these were on sale???? Ive already bought most of them on android and we really am not about to pay $5 each for the whole library after that.
We lived this game as a kid and its been fun coming back to it, kairosoft makes the best mobile games.
Ive had this game since we were 4 and everytime we forget about it and come back to it, it is so much fun.
Even years later we still play this game over and over. We really wish they were still making games like this one and Dungeon Village and the Mall Cruise ship ones instead of all the freemium games theyre doing more of. Even though this game is older its still great and has lots of replay value and humor as it is a spoof on Star Trek. Very cute, very fun. We love Kairosoft Pay Once and play Forever style games. Please release more of them again.
This is the first non-freemium kairosoft game we've ever deleted because we didn't enjoy it. It sincerely felt like they took dungeon village and ninja village. Took one or two things that were fun, and packed it full of counterintuitive features. One only character, who's level rounds down, carries over. No other characters or their levels, buildings, tech research, or anything. The starting map is a mess and it takes a surprisingly long time to get any of the upgrades for removing the ridiculous amount of road blocks. Which also costs an unnecessary amount of money. Adding onto that, once you can clear stuff, you'll likely need to reorganize the chaos…unfortunately no rearrange tool. After you pay to remove everything, you have to destroy your buildings and repay for them. Every time. We can't recommend this one, unfortunately. Also a first for us and a paid kairosoft game.
When we say little we're talking about the 8-bit looking graphics but otherwise these games are worth hours upon hours and great to kill time.
Thank you Kairosoft for making a wonderful game and fixing it! We just hope you guys would make a second epic astro story because this one really rocked but we feel you could make the second one so much more interesting and longer.
We LOVE this game, we played it almost every day, but then the game crashed mid battle, we reloaded it and it happened again, plz fix.
We bought this game last year or so and wanted to play it again. All was good until it constantly crashes in exploration areas making it impossible to continue. Shame.
This is our least favorite kairosoft game. We never fell in love with it like we did the others. That being said, we have still played through it twice. All kairosoft games are amazing. So if you loved this game, or are thinking about it, check out all the other games they have! They are seriously our favorite.
We've been meaning to get to this game for a long time, and when we finally did we got very addicted (as we do with almost every Kairosoft game) but mid battle it will crash often. We're stuck at a point where one battle keeps crashing, we can't get through it and we've tried literally a dozen times. We really hope they fix this, even though it is an older game at this point. We love Kairosoft and this is the first problem we've had with any of their games (we have played every single one of them and this is our first less than 5 star review).
Somehow this game was updated in late 2015 but crashes towards the end of ever battle.
It's a really good game but we can't get anywhere if it crashes about 7 times each battle.
The game crashes when we get into desert area with our people who wearing Bazooka, Drill and Power Suit 3 EVERY TIME. Pls make a update of it, thanks.
This game is fantastic. It's a great and intricate way to spend your iPhone gaming time. HOWEVER, it crashes occasionally in the middle of battle. On its face, not a big deal, but this game features a gauntlet style endless pit fight, with no saves as you progress through it. We finally leveled our settlers to a reasonable level, equipped them with the finest weapon and armor available, and went to work. After 20 floors, the app crashed. All was lost. This is a true "endless pit" so we know that, sooner or later, this will be our date every time. It's a true shame, as everything else in this game is a delight.
We phone 6s, up to date OS; the game crashed right at the first or second battle at the pirate planet every time. This is very early in the game, do this essentially makes the game unplayable.
Crashes randomly and permanently during battles. Reloading does nothing to avoid disaster. Inexcusable.
Not like good or bad don't recommend it though takes forever on journeys add more stuff will this game.
We love this game but can you add ninja village and kairobactora from google play.
Love kairosoft always looking for the next game love this one as well we want an American Football Story NFL Style please.
Great game please release sushi spinnery next.
Great game ps can you please make a modern war game just like dungeon village but like how war is now.
We like the game kind of….. But we'll still put 5 stars to help!!!! Thanks for awesome games, kairosoft.
Kairosoft is definitely our fav game company on the app store we have all of they're games and love supporting this company been with them way back when game dev came out. GO KAIROSOFT.
Lots of fun, complex, but not overwhelming. A game like this will be truly enjoyed by 'tinkerers' everywhere. If you grew up on legos, for instance, this could quickly become your favorite game :).
As usual some features take a while to get used to, and text not always behaving as expected, but other than that great game.
You view this game as a management sim.
We have had this game a couple hours and we love it!!!! There is one complaint we have. Add a move button.
It literally is the best yet. We dont have to focus all on buildings and there is an exploration side that involves a small amount of battle strategy. Pretty cool.
Let us simply start off by saying that if you are a Kairosoft fan, this is a must buy. This one is more in the vein of Hot Springs or Venture Towns (rather than Game Dev or Grand Prix) but it is definitely better than those 2. We would rank it alongside Pocket Academy. We love the RPG aspect of building up your characters and equipping them as you expand your colony, explore the planet, and send them off on missions. Very addicting strategy game. Put aside a few days.
Another hit by kairosoft. We played this game so much we were actually sad when we had nothing more to accomplish. We're currently thinking about getting dungeon village because pretty much all of your games are amazing. But still, our most favorite of your games is still game dev story. Keep up the good work.
You really need to put out more games and lower the price. We love and own all your games, but you need to make more games. We also have ideas for your company. Some good ideas would be a restaurant Chain , a pet shop, and a hotel. We would buy all those games and we know of a lot of people who would too. Keep up the good work and keep making quality games.
Its easy to understand and very addictive. We love the graphic – pixel perfect.
Haven't put it down for 1.5 days.
This game is awesome but we got some ideas: a game where you own a news company, a game where you own a press. If you get the chance can you tell us how you made these apps.
Don't listen to the reviews under three stars. They do not accurately rate this game. One of the best! Better than Oh! Edo! We've got FIVE games from this Dev and have not been disappointed. Yes $4 IS WAY TO EXPENSIVE. We'd go $1.99 – $2.99, BUT! We are willing to spend the extra money because we LOVE supporting this Company.
This one is a mix of RPG and city management.
Plz add more plus we're low in money but really low and all the fees just keep us lower rite now we're in – 456.4$ and just add that we can buy money for our planet plz.
It's a great fun game but there is an unfortunate bug were whenever we click something it freezes and we don't know what to do know we deleted our game the first time it happened but we don't want to know because we're very far!! :( please fix it.
EAS is another fun game from Kairosoft. There's the "bottomless chasm" at the end of the game, but past 16F the rewards aren't that great. Not much carries over to a new game and there are no additional maps to play or much else to unlock, so replay value is much lower than all the other Kairosoft games.
We think this game was at the bottom of the list of Kairosoft but since it's Kairosoft we'll give it a 4 star rating.
But please make it so the world can be bigger Updated: please do it or add an option to have a bigger world.
Gameplay is 3 star, references are 5 star. Overall 4.
Love all the Kairosoft games and this one adds to our collection! A couple requests please Kairosoft: Please fix the item/building/dialogue pop-ups and descriptions, the information gets cut off so you can't read the entire description or dialogue on certain things. Also please add a move/rearrange feature! If both requests were added we would definitely give 5 stars!! Still love this game, would highly recommend! Engaging gameplay, challenging in many areas, and be careful they are quite addicting! :).
This is an OK game, but when comapred to other Kairosoft games, it is one of the most lacking in contact, game-play, thought, pacing and re-playability. Many of the features prominente in other Kairosoft games are missing when they would have been easily welcome to Epic Astro Story. The classic carry-over function from other games is present but is completely lacking in effectiveness, making it a waste of time. The game is highly unpolished, and it shows in the interface and text. A lot of times text will just spill out of windows or are simply cut off making it impossible to read what was there. In the end, there are other, better Kairosoft games.
Look, all of the Kairosoft titles are fun. This one, just a little less so – has less polish and interest than the others. Ipad users note all the iPhone versions work nicely in 2x on iPad 1-3, don't hesitate to try em.
We love the titles from this company, but what they all seem to lack is, for lack of a better word, length. There's a solid game here, from resource management to factory production to technology research to a simple combat system and even a tourist management system, the diversity of tasks to do is amazing. However, there just doesn't seem to be any icing on this cake. Several object's descriptions are longer than the space given for them, and there is lack of a scroll feature to view the remaining text. There is no way to assign particular tasks to individuals or which materials go where (which, for a more casual player is the way to go, we admit, but for us personally, we would like to micro-manage our residents' tasks and our resources so our fastest workers could work where we need them most in an area and our production lines could be streamlined). To clarify what we mean by "which materials go where," we're talking about the ability to assign certain, for example, fields to certain factories, and assign certain residents the task of transporting the goods around. One of the biggest nails in the replay-ability coffin by far is the lack of different or random maps. The map you see in your first play through is the map you get in the second. We see no good reason for this other than to have a level playing field for high scores; we'd rather be able to experience something new and exciting than be able to fairly brag about our score. There are several more micro-management factors that could be added, like disallowing tourists from purchasing things from your resource production/manufacturing facilities. We already mentioned the ability to assign particular jobs to particular residents. The level up system could be a bit less random, perhaps give the player the option to assign a certain number of stat points or make the randomness reflect what the resident has been doing, we.e. If they were part of X percent of away teams, their stats would weigh more toward health/ability/exploration than the stats would toward work and vice versa. Tourists could be made to favor certain things depending on the species they're from, like one could favor the snowy biome and snowmen more than another and one might prefer the ivory statue to a playground and such. Which resort or landing pad they choose could be determined by these factors. Now, we'd like to clarify, by all means, these changes should not impact the current playability of the game; casual gamers should still be able to not care about a tourist's particular interests or what their particular residents do or how their characters level up, etcetera. But there should be the option to control these things, to fine tune how your world functions to make it work better. With all that said, the biggest thing that should be implemented is the different or random maps, that would make this game really worth the four dollars, everything else would drive up sales amazingly. Heck, with improvements like these and a higher resolution, this could be a full fledged pc release for at least 20$. Anyway, we hope the devs get around to reading this, and we hope this helped anyone unsure of purchasing the app. Bottom line, try the lite version a few times before buying this (and we really mean a few times, to get the feel of the repetitiveness of replays). It's a great game that's just suffering from a lack of micromanagement, diverse replays, and polish.
The game is a lot of fun like a lot of its predecessors, but there seems to be a lack of polish. When you decide to build buildings in the game the building prices are cut off. Building descriptions are also cut off. Please fix Kairosoft so we can rate this game 5 stars.
Unlike most of the other kariopark games, this one was boring and confusing. Also it was overflowing with annoying bugs. We feel like kariosoft could have done a much better job on this game.
