Player Experience Highlights
Community Insight:
We havent used this much yet, but so far it gives us a challenging game. We coached scholastic chess for almost 30 years, and Id recommend it for scholastic and club players.
We were in the chess club at school and we learned to play and it was amazing then we had to stop doing it cause we had basketball on those days but it is amazing cause we got on our iPad and found this amazing chess game! It is just like playing chess but on a app! So we really encourage you to rate this amazing app 4 or 5 stars we rated it 5 cause we love chess so this game is perfect for us and it is fun bye.
Poor Graphics. Playing two player mode and the chess shapes are different, annoying.
Sore looser moves pawns diagonally when not taking a piece.
Has many levels and gives a good game. Nice graphics.
Great for beginners learning the game and experienced players as well. You can set the level to provide the right challenge.
Tells you what moves you can make. Opponent responds immediately. There are different difficulty settings. Hardly any ad's or pop-up's.
Not every game will allow us to win. But we can beat the easiest level most times, which makes for a relaxing learning experience.
We love this version of chess. The pieces and board are easy to view, the color scheme is good and there are several degrees of difficulty for a challenging game.
This has been one of our most useful learning tools and has given us many hours of thoughtful peace.
The system is a bit messed up to the point where when you have gotten it down to two pieces left for the opponent it will call it a draw.
…in that it keeps interrupting game play to solicit you to buy the full version. This is distracting, and causes us to believe the author cares a lot more about money than about any enjoyment or utility you will get from this. We have already deleted this after playing only a few minutes longer than it took to download. Waste of bandwidth to get.
This game doesn't allow undo and levels. Disappointed deleted.
This app offers no feature for resigning or offering a draw. It does not appear to save games. These absences are bad enough, but the app is worse. It does not know the rules. It fails to recognize a draw by repetition and fails to recognize one by the fifty move rule. There are many excellent chess playing apps available. This one is not worth having.
We hate when the king blows up and throws up.
Every time we get close to a win it calls game a stalemate.
Lotta bugs in this one, king n queen wrong placement when, aging black, board layout also wrong when playing black, no draw by three move repetition. Wonder if en passant works.
The queen and king are not in the correct places.
