Ive been playing this for years. Challenging and authentic, great entertainment.
This game is the closest to the real thing besides the opponent maybe passing more than an ordinary game in person. But Im at 59.93% on our stats for winning and Ive been playing this app for 3years. Its competitive and more realistic than any of the other apps. Adds are sparse and only 3-5 seconds when they do- between games, theres no interruptions with ads during play time. Please dont change a thing. Its perfect.
Ive had this game loaded on our phone for a while and we play it a lot every day a lot. But yesterday when we tried to open it it was like all messed up and then it just automatically shut down now every time we open it it just shuts right back down. Any idea what we should do.
We moved away from Michigan several years ago but most people where we now live have never heard of Euchre. As a result, we havent played in Euchre in quite awhileits been years. Im planning a trip back to Michigan so we got Super Euchre! From Clifton Garage Mobile to help us get back into form. It didnt take long for us to get back up to speed. And we can play it offline so itll help pass the time on the 3 hour flight back home. Thank you, Clifton Garage. You did a great job developing this game.
We have played this version for quite a while and have commented previously. It is generally a very good rendition, and we have played literally thousands of hands. If we were going to teach someone how to play, we would use this version. There are two issues, one of which has been noted by others. There is a strong suspicion that the east and west opponents often know each others cards, and worse, the players cards. When either east or west makes trump and the other has the far better cards, that is very suspicious. The other issue could be changed by a programmer. When we order our partner up, Euchre lore suggests that our partner voids a suit if possible, and we have played many games in which we lose because the partner keeps some inconsequential card that makes partner follow suit and not use a trump card. Annoying.
Edit: some ads, but not as egregious of an ad invested cash grab experience like other free aps (only 5-10 sec ads every 15min of gameplay. Good play, cant ask for much more. AI is a little weird and will often misdeal but the behavior its adjustable.
Player to our right calls lone hand Spades. We lead the Queen of hearts, our partner has the Ace of hearts and does not play it (ie. He plays his 10) Player playing the lone hand plays his King of Hearts. Very disturbing.
Glitches sometimes and repeats cars sometimes.
Wish we could pay to remove ads, on principle. Otherwise 4~5*.
When our partner has both bowers they dont bid. And when they have the ace of the suit played, they dont play it to win the trick because we have the highest card at the time, but there is a higher card than ours not played yet.
Game restarts or ends for no reason, then picks up in the middle of a random hand. Doesnt work well at all on our iPad. We have tried to reinstall to de if that fixes the bugs, to no avail.
About 1 in 20 hands dealt are biddable, Most have all 4 suits, and many contain 2 or more 9s or 10s.
For the most part it is a decent app. There are ads but they are short so we appreciate that. The flaws we see are the way your partner plays trump. They seem to always play the highest trump in their hand even when doing so is a bad play. We also find we get a lot of 9s and 10s every deal. So many in fact that we started to look into the statistics of this and found we get way more than is reasonable. But the game is free. We have been playing this for years. We do like that we can leave the game at anytime and come back later. If you just want to play and dont care about your win/loss record we think this is a good application to choose.
What is the average number of misdeals in a normal game? (Hand held card game) This game seems very high @ 7! At least 8 out of 10 hands dealt consist of 1 of every suit, boring.
Ive actually calculated and the opponent team hardly ever has same suit as you throw on opening hand! If they lead the hand, their team member HAS a suit card. Our partner is ALWAYS throwing trump when Ive clearly already got the hand. Our partner will actually call trump and after the hand is over and weve been euchred, they only had 1 minimal trump! Why did they call trump.?The algorithm is not running to play a true game.
Hard to follow the game. Been playing Euchre for over 40 years and this game is chaotic. Also does not say there are ads. But there are ads. We would gladly buy or pay an annual fee for a good euchre game, but we guess there arent any like that.
Illogical play sequences. Player A not leading with right bower when they call it up, player D trumping a trick thats already won.
Have enjoyed this game for quite a while. The current version is unrealistically skewed towards the computer. 3 trump without the right bower + a double in a second suit will lose virtually every time, and opponent gets an abnormal number of 2 point hands. Also have not found a setting way to make partner a decent player. Currently our record is 2348 wins vs 1052 losses, but recently stats are way off so we have to conclude its a version thing. Also when computer declares trump with 9 points, it will NEVER BE EUCHRED.
We love Euchre! We downloaded this game a few months ago, and have played almost everyday. It crashes occasionally, but the bots also have performed illegal moves, which seems like a coding error. Three times, including today, the cards Im shown arent the cards that play. Just now, we thought we were thrown a bauer, but when the card falls, its an off-suit queen. This game needs some work by the developer.
The algorithm is skewed in favor of the opponent. We've played this game for 50 years in real life and the hands we get in this game are just not indicative of real life games.
Game does not shuffle cards .. Leads stay the same .. Algorithm needs attention .. But at times .. Super fun.
The interface is good and it has some good options but the overall gameplay and strategy design is below average.
What can we say other than we hated the sound effects.
Other team consistently gets loaners. Never have we seen more 9s and 10s dealt to us. Average of three per hand.
We swear this game glitches. Sometimes it skips you or your partner as dealer, and sometimes you can throw trump and lose. The first couple times we wrote it off as us not paying attention but Ive watched replay and sure enough it does glitch. Its like 1 in 15 hands that it does but it shouldnt happen ever.
Ive played euchre for many decades and we would say this version is not very good : Cards dealt are not always random. We literally played 100 games ( not hands) and receive 9s and 10s disproportionately . Often being dealt 60% of them instead of a random distribution of 40%. Partner trumps our tricks unnecessarily. Rookie mistake Partner very rarely orders us up even though their hand certainly shows they should. Very disappointing – looking for a version that is not so amateurish.
We played this game all of the time and one day a week ago it crashed and wont load again.
The best game, ever better then Madden mobile.
Got this app for spending time while sitting in a hospital room. Doesnt pop up adds during a game. So far only in between games!!!! Plays well, Highly recommend.
After 2 wks, game is still dealing actual random hands, with a reasonable partner. Most other vendors games are cheating by now, and we have no idea why they do it.
Limited ads, clean scoring easy to spot who is dealer, orders up and scores.
Great playing, ads are tolerable. Fun to play too.
The only criticism we have is that we cannot arrange our cards by suit. Would be able to concentrate better on the game.
Does partner/opponent bower play require upgrading? Yes, but the game is free of bugs and game play is quick, which we much prefer. Im up to 3,500 games played and our stats are clearly better than the bot opponents. Our game winning % is 65% and trick winning % is 54%, which points out the AI bot players are not as good as we are. Our game play clearly results in more 2 point hands and more sets than the all-bot opponents. BTW, we play the game straight up – no Stick the Dealer or Go Alone With Help.
We had a hard time learning this game in group settings by watching others play. Ive been playing on this app and played our first Euchre game with friends and understood what we were doing without asking for help. And we won!!! Now Im addicted thanks! LOL.
This is by far the best card game app we have seen, as far as our taste is concerned. We have a version of Hearts developed by another company, which we like the layout of, but the flow is a little funky and there are WAY too many ads. Would love it if you guys made your own version :).
Challenging and fun. A great game to play when we cant get others for an IRL game.
Tried a few others but they had issues with dealing randomly. This one gets it right and doesnt bury you in ads the way others do.
Good game, better partner than most other games. Ads are only between gams.
We like to have our cards sorted when dealt as well as arranging trump cards to the end of the hand after called. This game does not do that. Needs to be added.
Ads between games, but they arent intrusive during gameplay. Simple, clean Euchre with good rulesets for house rules.
First game we have downloaded that plays strategically sound euchreq.
Ive tried several Euchre apps and, while this one isnt the most eye pleasing, its the only one with enough flexibility to keep our interest match after match. We never feel like Im just watching or that the match is hopeless. We do have a suggestion for the developers unify the language better. Say Our Score and Their Score. Use We/Our and They/Their. For example, when our team euchres the makers, say: They lost. We scored 2 points.
So far adds Aren't hours long and loud! Love it.
We really love this app, gets you back into the swing of it and ready to play again.
Once youre able to catch on to whats being relayed to you by the different abbreviations and all, its a pretty good game, moves along fast and the brief time that Ive had it, its been competitive to us.
Here is our ONLY issue, it is not fair!! Meaning be prepared to lose A LOT! Not realistic for your opponents to ALWAYS have the bowers, we do mean always! And to ALWAYS win loaners!! Also, the opponents hands ALWAYS sinc together. Change that and this would be a perfect game for euchre.
Ads at beginning not intrusive. Easy to understand.
We enjoy this game and it has helped us improve.
