Community Insight:

This game we wasnt sure if we wanted to download but Im dang sure glad we did Im very impressed and glad we got to be apart of the storyline thank you.

Once played this game probably 7 or 8 years ago and had a blast. Incredibly engaging story. Randomly thought of this game again recently, and decided to redownload and it does not disappoint. Still as engaging and fun as we remembered, and we cant stop playing it. Design of the app shows some age, but the writing and choices by far make up for anything slightly clunky feeling. Im really happy to see people still downloading and playing this game, and hope you guys keep this on the app store forever.

Ok so first off we dont even know if you guys will ready this comment but here it goes. (And one more thing YOU GUYS ARE THE AMAZING!!! You are our most favorite story making company ever. Anyway we just wanted to say that). We. Am. A. Huge fan of choice games. We love their work we have bought many, (and we mean MANY of their games), but, when we were searching for a new game, we stumbled over a comment that said Try out Tin Star! And so we looked it up. And oh. Our. Gosh. This is THE most underrated game, story, book EVER!!! Like we cant even begin to describe how AMAZING this game is. It is so cheap considering how much content is in this. Now we finely get to our point… Please. Make. This game… Anew! So what we are thinking is that you make this game except it is lime a young guns, billy the kid style game. Where you run your own gang and you have to constantly outrun the law. Please please please we will pay as much as you want us to pay. You have stumbled upon a gold ours, (pun intended), if you guys like this idea then please; all we ask is that you comment on this comment and just say anything. Like thank you for your feedback and stuff like that. Anyway we really doubt you guys will read this but if you do… Please consider this. Thank you for you time, and as always stay strong, stay safe.

This game is a fun way to spend long car trips or just when your bored. There are so Many Choices That Each ending varies in vastly different ways. Our only dislike of the game is that it is to Short and that at one point it seems like you should be able to continue and really want to but then the game ends.

Most people might be concerned with the fact that there is no word count, considering this is a Hosted Games or Choice of Games story, but we can tell you the story is very detailed, very long, and it is very well written to keep you engaged in the characters and the many choices you can make. Tin Star does a fantastic job at rewarding consistency that sticks with your attributes and also keeps historical consistency for context. Tin star provides plenty of times to level up skills and its truly amazing to find how such a simple beginning can turn into the greatest ending. That said, Id recommend anyone to buy this game and give it a shot. Definitely up there among our top stories such as zombie exodus, and zombie exodus safe haven. Edit: Also has the option to save at every chapter, so you can always restore from your past chapter instead of restarting.

We never write reviews for apps but there was no way that we couldnt for Tin Stars after completing our first play through. This is the BEST cyoa that we have ever read. The story is historically accurate, true to the time period when it comes to interactions with various characters, and the story is simply fantastic. We cannot wait to play this again and again. Definitely worth the money.

Omg the characters are so well written… Your choices and skills matter so much! We love this game soooooooooooo much.

We're new to Choice of Games/Hosted Games, but we've recently become obsessed, and Tin Star, along with Choice of Robots, are our favorites so far. In Tin Star, the amount of detail is incredible and the way you can develop your character is really unique for a text-based game. The game is immersive, and you can be whoever you want to be: a corrupt marshal, a fair but firm marshal, a Chinese/American Indian/Female Marshal, a total screw up, a hard-drinker, a man or woman obsessed with piety or the law. The possibilities are not anywhere near exhausted by that list. Get this game. You won't regret it.

This is one of the better CoGs. It is long, rich and detailed, worth it if you're okay with the Wild West theme. You're a Marshal. There's bribery, gunplay, the wilderness. You meet Native Americans, bandits, and Wild West law enforcements. It's fun.

Like so many, we were nervous spending so much money on one app. Luckily, we ended up loving it! The story length is well worth the price paid as well as the characters. It does take a little while to figure out that there is a plot to the story, and its dealt with rather quickly in the climax. At the same time there is SO MUCH replay value to this story. And we mean, SOO MUCH. It is clear a great deal of hard work went into this story and definitely deserves more love then it has.

We believe this is the best CoG interactive fiction game yet. The cast of characters is large, interesting, and memorable. The setting is strong and changes over time in interesting ways. The narrative is fantastic and the scenarios blend solid creative writing with solid game design to create an epic adventure that the reader gets to make interesting decisions within and see how the consequences unfold. This is the best piece of interactive fiction on iOS and you need to play it.

It is worth every penny if you want a great story. We finished it in two days, but it's because we were essentially cramming it like a good book. If you love westerns you will want to make love to this, if you like them, definitely dinner and a movie and possibly a long relationship, and if you don't like them, this is a great chapter book that you control for a decent price, and best of all: You can read it again for a different story.

Definitely one of the best Choose your own adventure games we've played. Every choice feels impactful. The story is told incredibly, and it becomes very immersive. It felt like a good book that you could just put yourself into and live that character's life.

Great writing, and the story is very detailed. There are a variety of ways to develop your character based on your choices. This is a long game. It will take a couple of hours to read, but it will be worth your time.

Amazing, absolutely amazing! We bought it months ago and we still play it! The choices are so impactful, no two player experiences are the same. The story is absolutely immersive, the first time we played it we were hooked for hours at a time. Really well written characters, even the minor ones. The characters are so unique and realistic that we can't bring ourselves to play the "evil" routes, we feel so guilty that we have to restart. BEST COG/HOSTED GAME, best app, best decision you will ever make in life, basically best everything! 11/10, we definitely recommend.

It is simply one of the best and very much worth your money.

Our Pistol drawing, cutthroat, tin star story was a fun one to have, it's got almost all the choices you can think to make and even more. It's a thrilling Western Story that John Wayne would be proud of.

If you're looking for a story you can replay over and over this is it. Not only is it incredibly immersive but also very customizable. This is one of the top Hosted Games if not the best.

Great story, worth every penny. Wish there were more stories like this one.

This is one of our favorite games. The ability to build your character is so far advanced in this game compared to other text based games. This game has a ton of replay value.

Please, please overlook the price. This game- this novel- has been a flourishing experience. We played it for hours at a time and at the third day of constant playing just finished. The story and writing is so rich, you feel there, you feel conviction for your actions and sympathy and morality. For whatever path you chose it accommodates in a way that never feels forced. We highly recommend this! One of our favorites.

There are no words to even begin to describe the greatness of this story. We write reviews for very few games the vast majority of which are text based. Tin Star is quite possibly one if our favorite games of all time. Not even just apps but also console games. It is right up there with The a Last of Us, Legend of Zelda and Infamous. We find ourselves naturally attracted to story based games over mindless shooters (though we do enjoy Battlefield very now and again). Tin Star is by far the best app on our phone and on our phone it will stay. The game has great opportunity for replay ability though we think that we will never do that. We poured our all into this game and we're pretty sure that playing the game through again would result in the same choices being made but hey that's just us. We were really happy with our ending had a lasting romance and managed to play through the game killing virtually no one. In the end it said our story had no variations and that it was told strong and true and we don't think we could ever try and change the find memories we have if the game. There is nobody we would ever hate so much as to not recommend this game to. Even if we never play it again it will always be there for nostalgia. This will be one of the best uses of your money ever… Period.

Well written and loads of choices, the perfect Choice Game. The story is worth the price.

This game kept us intrigued the whole game! Strong writing and rewarding conclusions make this game great.

If you are new to interactive story books this is the game to get. If you're not this is the game to get. This amazing novel is enrapturing the whole time and the stats are incredible as far as coverage. We love this game.

We have to say that we're not a big western fan. We are however now, more of a western fan and bigger fan of this writer. The story is great. Character development awesome and the ending is amazing and detailed. Could have used a bit more about our death and any descendants we might have had. A small criticism to be sure. Reading the book made us feel more like a law man. Don't cheat yourself! READ this one.

So on the recommendation of a few friends we tried out the beta test version of Tin Star and then immediately purchased it because of the obvious richness to the story. We don't usually play text based games but the game plays just like a choose your own adventure book we read as a kid. The only difference being that the story is deeper and fuller and affected at every turn by your character's attributes that change throughout the game. Clearly, the programming team (too complicated to be one person, right?) took a lot of time developing the interactions and attributes and how they play off each other. Also, the research done to bring the late 1800s American West to life was spectacular. You understand how life was and even the political implications of every facet of frontier life. All the characters were authentic and it was easy to Imagine yourself living and struggling in those times. The game was so good that we bought a version for our 10 year old son's kindle. Our wife loved the game as well even though she is not a gamer. Of course, our son played the outlaw who shoots first and our wife succeeded almost never firing her gun. So many ways to play and fun every time. You can't miss with this game.

We've actually written reviews for multiple versions of this game, which should tell you how great it is. Tin Star is as well written a published novel and has more interactivity, choice, and gameplay than almost every other CoG story. We wish we could forget we read it so we could enjoy it again like the first time. Complaining about the price? Seriously? You do know how much actual books cost, right.

Absolutely splenid. And had a recent update. Well worth the asking price :D.

This game was super fun the only downside in our eye was that we couldn't play as a Mexican, but other then that it was a very much enjoyable game ( ' w ')y.

Do you have any idea how cool it was to get a content update for our favorite COG? Unspeakably cool. Even if it's not that big, it means Tin Star is still receiving care and attention and that is really, really– you know it– cool.

This game is absolutely amazing, every time we play we find ourselves lost to the excitement of the story.

Tin Star is brilliantly written, well-balanced and the game offers lots of replay value. Hope that we see more like this. Highly recommended.

So impressed by the length and depth of this game, and how rich and interesting it is. We've played all the CoG games and some of the Hosted Games, and this is one of our top three for sure. Worth every dollar.

This game blew us away. It is BY FAR our favorite game we have EVER played on ios. There are SO MANY POSSIBILITIES. This game may be 5 dollars, but it's definitely worth every penny. 5 bucks is actually a steal when we consider how long this game is. The game is very deep with different characters, personalities, and skills. You actually make connections with the characters, you actually care about them. Every choice counts, literally. We mean everything you say does matter. You MUST buy this game, trust us you will not regret it. We hope you have a great experience like ours. And to however wrote this game, great job you made a great game, keep up the good work. We hope that somehow you can make a sequel to this great game.

We've played every single Choice of Game out there. This is by far, the best one. The relationships to be had, the stats and legend to build, and the length of this game is perfect. We did not find a single flaw in this game. This is the culmination of all of the other games without their flaws. Mere words cannot express how glad we are to have played this game. 10/5 stars if it were possible.

This game was very fun, hours upon hours of it. We don't usually like Western type material but this drew us in and took us on a wild adventure and we were extremely happy with it. Thumbs up loved it.

Long, tons of impactful choices, and a story that doesn't lag, and characters that are interesting, this app has it all.

We want to firstly say this is the first review we've ever written, we rarely can be bothered to constantly review products after every purchase, we buy em and move on. However, we delayed buying this app for days due to the hefty price for an app, the fact it was a hosted game and not a game by the Choice of Games staff in our eyes decreased the value of this game, we thought it wouldn't be good. But.. It's our favorite yet. In short, this is perhaps the longest choice of games script we've seen yet- been playing for about 16 hours and still haven't finished. Very much like a well written novel, and the author is brilliant in that we feel they always offer us the options we truly want, instead of feeling forced to respond in one of two extremes. In short, we highly recommend it – great app.

Totally worth it ,one of the best if not the best , worth it.

We brag to our friends about this, and they all got it too! Only issue is that it is 4 USD. Still great though! Will there be more like this? It's great to read this.

This is the best interactive fiction we have ever read! If you're a fan of the western genre then do yourself a favor and get this. The price is cheap considering the length of the story, the detail, and the replay value. Treat yourself and get this game.

We're always a CoG fan, but this story was exceptional. Sprawling, beautifully written and expertly crafted. And tons o' fun. Right up there with Choice of the Vampire for sheer awesomeness. Totally worth the money.

This game is truly a wonder all its own. Its length and variety are amazing. The characters are vivid and fun. And the story is engaging. The few typos that are still there are more than made up for by the game's other good qualities. We only wish it were longer.

This was by far one of the best interactive fictions games out there for iOS, it's long, has great detail, and the storyline itself is marvelous. If we could we would rate 7 out of 5, we'll worth the money and it also has great replay value. In the end, we were sad when the game ended but, all great things come to an end.

Long and filled with interesting characters and stories. Very well written and well worth your money.

If ur a choice of game fan then don't miss this one. The stories well written as it's a lot of fun. Has replay ability too. Well worth the price if u ask us.

As always, we thoroughly enjoyed playing through one of these choice games. Our only complaint is length, but we suppose that can't really be helped. Definitely an experience meriting the payment.

Awesome game, a great story and Replayable. Your choices have a great impact on the story and how the game progresses. Play as the good guy or an evil and be surprised by twist of events. We recommended to anyone who loves textbased games.

No kidding when another guy said this game is long, we've been playing for the better part of three hours and we feel we're only half way through the game. Great story so far and we can't wait until the end.
