We have been playing for a few days and lots of fun. We love that you are playing live and not against a bot.
First, you have to go through so many hoops to figure out how to get around all of their cartoons to finally play a game. Once in the game, its really pretty good and a nice design. Second, after about three games you all of a sudden are asked for money because you dont have enough points. We actually laughed at that before deleting the app.
Good backgammon game, like Lord of the board , it is rigged.
Decades ago, we played backgammon with a work group over lunch. Job change, no one to play with, so Id play against ourselves. Life change, no board to play on. Fast forward to modern times, and Backgammon Live shows up. Now we can play anytime, anywhere right on our iPad or phone. Love it.

This is very good! Although we think that, at times, the dice rolls are a tad suss. We play it pretty much daily and have NEVER had to actually purchase points and we have been broke several times. We strongly recommend.

Ive been playing this game for over 5 years. We love that its real, live players from all around the world, at all levels of play! Very few interruptions.
When we report a problem that makes the game crash, or the dice wont load, or the game freezes, we never hear back, and as a result we lose thousands of coins. Also, it seems there is an algorithm that looks at people who are known to buy coins, and causes them to lose under weird circumstances, or causes them to get double 6s right after being knocked off the board.
We love backgammon! Very entertaining and enjoy seeing the skills of others, then there is the roll of the dice.
We love backgammon but hate a cheater. There are plenty of them on this app. If you look at a players winnings and it shows their biggest win was 45 million and they are only level 7 thats for sure a cheater, and you are probably going to lose. Why play if you have to cheat? Go play somewhere cheaters. We want to play because we love backgammon and we love this app but the amount of cheaters is stupid.
Dont waste your time. Do not buy coins because the game is designed for you to lose so you will line the developers pockets. Pathetic backgammon app overall.

Been playing for a couple years. It is fun and definitely helped us improve our skills. Dice are not exactly random. Some games are fairer than others.
Ive been playing for a while. The game used to frustrate us because yes, the dice are sort of fixed. We eventually accepted it. We can often predict exactly what the dice will roll after certain turns. That said, its our responsibility to make the best moves regardless, so Ive learned to go with it. Visually, we like this backgammon game better than others Ive tried, and it moves quickly which is nice. We do wish they had better chat options than just the eight emojis, but whatcha gonna do.
We enjoy playing, but often experience frustration because it seems as if the opponent often gets just what they need to hit or block.
So we opened two accounts and on one account we give top reviews and the other account we give bad reviews and guess which one wins at a higher percentage rate its crazy? If u give bad reviews because they play with the algorithms to make sure you lose if you get bad reviews.
Ive been playing and enjoying this app for years. We proudly say that we have spent exactly $0.00 in the app. Havent and wont buy a single coin. So if Im here to have fun for free, the developer has the right to tweak the random number generator a little, from time to time, to try to squeeze a couple dollars from the users. Thats completely fair. Just please: do not take us for idiots. The random number generator is not 100% random. Maybe 80% or so? What goes on here with the dice is probabilistically IMPOSSIBLE. Again: that is fine. You want 100% randomness? Go play on a real board, with real players and real dice. Stop complaining and just have fun. Developer: please, ignore the stupidity of those reviews complaining about bad dice, hackers, unfairness, etc., but PLEASE: do not treat us as idiots trying to convince us of 100% randomness.
We were really enjoying this app when we first downloaded it and we particularly enjoyed the variant game boards that are available, as it makes it more interesting. However, after a certain period of time, they price you out of the variants by so much that you can't even play them anymore without buying coins. For example, when we first started using the app, the "Nevada" variant was 5000 coins. We've been playing a few weeks now and that same variant is now 160,000 coins, which means we can never play that variant unless we buy coins. There is no explanation for why the price increased so much. This is true for most, if not all, of the variants. It is also true for the boards that are part of the separate goals, such as treasure hunt. There are regular boards that you can play, but it's boring over time, cuz all people do is double to win so it just becomes a matter of risk stats.
There's no cheat and manipulation by algorithm. It's fair game.

Nice boards and dice. Only problem is bonus wheel is fixed so you never win bigger prizes. Ive been playing on this site for quite a few years and NEVER got the 5000 point spin and Ive only won a 1,000 + prize maybe twice. Its obviously not a true random spin if it always starts from the same spot.
We love the game and the setup and the different boards. But we absolutely HATE the popups that appear every time you open the app. Its unnecessary. Or at least make them optional.
