Truly enjoy the game. It has everything we're looking for in a pool game; accuracy, challenges and rewards. If there was anything to improve it might be a means to communicate our own messages with other players, but the stock messages are still fun to use.

Since iSO 11, this game no longer works. We hope that there will be updates soon. The game is realistic and fun to play. The queue ball control works as it should, and lining up shots is very much like the real game. Ive come across great players from all over the world! Features that we love, the practice area, the chat tool, and the in App-Store. Enhancements that would be great to see: In the practice area it would be nice to be able to adjust the shot guide line, to better match the game play levels. The text color in chat could be a brighter color so that its easier to see in the pick list. A way to add players into a friends list or favorites to make better use of the third game play area and play with the players in your friends list, rather than the apps random picker. We hope an update will be available soon.
As we all know, some people can stand to lose so they cheat. We have experience several times were someone deliberately had the game lag were we were unable to play our turn. This obviously caused us to miss a turn or even forfeit the game and allow them to win the match. Very very aggravating and weak for one to do so!! Absolutely nothing one can do to stop it or even nothing to do to detect before the game starts. Moonpye.

Love the app. As an elo rating fan we really like the use of elo in this game. More stats would make the game better in our opinion. E.g a 52-week roling +/- elo change. Or classification of players based on their elo rating. But all in all super app.
Im good at pool so we think it's cool.
The cue ball works but you have to hold the ball drag your finger to where the ball is and then move it to whatever angle you want it. We like the game a lot but we do wish that the cue ball didn't disappear once you touched it.
It's a great game never any problems,.

Its a good app…plays a lot like the real game and much better then anything else Ive seen since Yahoo pool from years ago.(that was an amazing app; seriously good physics) Too bad this one and Yahoo are no longer available Recommend any others.
We've been playing this game for years but after reading some of these reviews for the first time, we realize just how bad it is. We've experienced a lot of the same issues that others complain about. Overall we think it's a pretty good game but could stand some upgrades. When we see some of the graphics that other pool games have, this one looks old. We know we've been playing this game for at least 8 years and have seen no changes.

Great game. We woulda kept it if it had more players.
This is the most unfair game ever made lol literally! You get matched to play with people that are like 30 levels up with better cue sticks and never get a turn because they never miss a shot. Stick to iMessage 8 ball people.
Only real issue we have is when you do a random match it doesn't match you up with someone in your skill level.
Loved this game for several months. We were near 20,000 pts. And the game suddenly would no longer recognize our server. No more pool stars. Too bad, it was a fun app.
We loaded the game and started playing, two things hit us right away, the cue ball control would not work. If we tapped the icon it would flash on the screen for a second then disappear. We tried holding the icon down and adjusting with our other hand but that did not work either. We see other players using English so we know it works for some. Also the chat screen, when we press it the screen just gets grayed out and the few games, the game starts and then we get booted out of the game entirely and back to home screen. We like the game t not the frustration, can you help. John.

Need developer to update for Apple iOS 11. Does not work. And this is our favorite app. P l e a s e.
We got up to 1600 points. We beat someone with 1200 points 3 times and gained 7 points per each of those games. Then we lost 1 game and we ended up losing 25 points from just 1 game. So basically we played 4 games, we won 3-1 and we gained 21 points while they gained 25. That point system is terrible. You should gain the same amount of points no matter who you play. Other then that the game is great.
It is rigged against the user. We can't make a shot and never win a game. Do not down load this piece of crap, it is pure junk and the developer should be ashamed.
You're clearly playing AI in the "online multiplayer" they all take til the last second to shoot and behave the same. Bunk app.
Nothing interesting about multiplayer. And the people who pay for the game just get luckier shots. Extremely choppy frame rate. The aiming system is a mess.
What more is there to say. Shots are lined perfectly up, right speed and somehow it misses….then your opponent completely runs the table making crazy combination shots with impossible angles.
This game cheats all the time DO NOT DOWNLOAD ITS A WASTE OF SPACE.
It cheated so the other opponents can win. DONT DOWNLOAD.
First off let us tell you how to get the cue ball spin to work. Hold your finger down on it and then slide up to the pop up ball and adjust what spin you want. You need to buy a better stick to get much spin. But we would not waste your time with this game. Definitely don't spend any real money on it. The app ran fine for a few days then refused to make a connection. Emails as to why have gone unanswered. Any real money spent would have been a waste as the game now does not run. It was a nice game while it worked but now it's just taking up memory.
Keeps saying connection error. Have reinstalled app 5xs.
We installed game and did tutorial but when we try to log in on Game Center or Guest it won't let us. PLEASE FIX.
Overall the app plays a lot like the original 8 Ball Pool, BUT this app crashes a lot, and it's only when your in a game so you will automatically forfeit the match and receive a loss and lose your coins!! It's bullcrap!!! We really hope they fix this bug because it's really annoying.
What a waste of time, they start you of with about 20-30 Rubies and it cost 7 to play a table after you play just a few game you either have to wait 24 hours to get 3 Free Rubies or pay Real Money and as you all know only Stupid people would pay Real Money to play a phone pool game. No than you, ill just keep playing 8 Ball Pool for FREE. The developers of this app are greedy as they come, give them your money if you want but you've been worn.

Will not log in! We have iOS 8 and iPhone 6+.
We're using the iPhone 5s and it boots up fine but when it goes to the screen to select loging in Game Center or play as guest – once you select a option it just loads and loads with the 8ball spinning saying loging in but never does ;( please make a fix the game looks top notch.
Well 8Ball Pool banned us for no reason -____- so we migrated to Pool Star and we got to say the app is pretty darn good we mean it is a little different than 8ball but in a good way, the mechanics of the game is more realistic. There is also a ranking system that we REALLY like. It allows you to show your dominance over the other players lol. It's dope. Also…. NO CUE CHARGE.
