Hard but FUN. A great little time waster.
As the final BSS game we tried, we wasn't sure what to think going in, because endless runners aren't usually our type of game. It was an ok game, but you can make it much more fun by buttering up. This costs you $2, and allows you to unlock more interesting ships and characters, each having their own power. If you dont butter up, its not really as enjoyable of a game. However, if youre willing to pay 2 bucks, we would recommend it.
However, Butterscotch Shenanigans is a really good one. Is Roid Rampage the best game of theirs Ive played? No, so far thats Crashlanders. That game is a top 5 mobile game for us and top 50 of all-time. This one is a solid endless asteroid field game that is tough enough to be considered rogue-like. Quirky, funny, and easy to learn with good music and sound effects: whats not to like? One of our favorite parts of BS is the ID and shared game unlocking feature. Accomplish something in one game, unlock something in another. When we first saw this we thought well crap, this is how they are going to push us to buy other crappy games just to get critical things here but that couldnt be further from the truth. The unlocks are nice but not game changers in games that are totally worth getting. Quirky, polished games with easy controls, tough gameplay, great sound and if it isnt a buy upfront (like Crashlanders) its a single cheap in-app purchase to unlock it all. These guys have absolutely nailed in for a successful mobile ecosystem that is easy to support.
We cant get pass 25 space Cotton balls. Im in an infinite loop.
To purchase different character skins or the ships in the game, you have to Butter Up- or pay $1.99. We dont understand why the game wouldn't cost that to play it unless the developers were worried that their game wasn't even worth that and they wanted to lure people in with the prospect of a free game. The default character and ship only allows you to fly around and die in one hit, which would be fun if that was what the game advertised. Not the worst game in the world. Just annoying.
This game is super fun really got us addicted.

Fun game, but annoying that you have to register with the game to unlock anything if you dont want to pay right away. Tried multiple times to register to get the email, but it never came through. Tried going to the main website, no way to submit problem to request email.
And by BS we mean Butter Scotch Shenaniganiest! We love the entire suite of games and how they all tie together through the achievement unlocks! We started out on Crashlands and ended up here! Take our money.

We started playing your games by watching a friend play Crashlands on steam! We bought it on our iPod and loved the heck out of it! We wanted the perks for it so we got the rest of the games and loved them too! We just got and 85 juice run on this game and we are so proud of ourselves! We are going to butter up soon so we can unlock the rest of the ships. Thanks for the great games.
We have without fail played a bad butterscotch shenanigans game this is no exception though very simple it is a great game with our favorite bs style to it.

These guys make absolutely amazing games. Roid Rampage is an amazing and quite addicting game once you get a handle on it. Sense they've produced quite a fun product we can't wait to try out all of their other games.
Anything these guys do is great. We're a huge fan of all of their games.
If it's made by this company. Then its grade a quality. When people say this company makes mistakes. We say the only mistake here is you hating this company.
This is a fun game to pass the time while traveling.
Finally, a good use for interns.
These guys just make good games, a little quirky and different, but oh so much fun.
Butterscotch makes five star games. After getting Crashlands, we went ahead and got and Buttered all the games with the BS symbol on the app icon: this, Towelfight 2, Flop Rocket… This one stands out as a very enjoyable take on the Asteroids concept. And the music… The only thing that could make this better is if there was an animation of your character bobbing his head to the music somewhere on the HUD. A cross between Star Fox and Night at the Roxbury.
If you're looking for a game to help pass the time.. This is it.

The game is fun. But getting characters is confusing and hard to complete.
We're just getting the hang of the controls… Maybe when we get a bit better at it we'll give you the 5 star review. We do love how all your games are connected, we've buttered up all 5 & cant wait till the next.
Roid Rampage is an addictive and challenging game.
Don't we have enough of these kinds of games in the App Store? We expected better from butter scotch. Also remember to make appropriate endings in games once they are beat.
Simple but difficult we really like it because we can get rewards for other games and our ID.

This game is great. We tried the Crashlands and was hooked. We saw this and we thought it was great.

We have been playing this game for a while and surprised how addicting it is. This game has consumed our life and we can't stop playing it.
The game is awsome but one thing you need to be buttered up for so many things it gets annoying.
It is a good game not as good as crashlands but this one is free. One of the really good things is that if you have a butterscotch Id then you can get perks in crashlands that are for roid rampage like playing as flux or flying the escape pod.
We absolutely loved this game but it just couldn't top Crashlands. We hope that BSS will release more fun games like Crashlands.
This game is a great way to burn a few minutes while on the toilet…or on the go…OR BOTH!!!! By the way, average score is still between zero and three.
