What Makes Yatzy for iPad Stand Out
The object of the game is to score the most points by rolling five dice to make certain combinations. The dice can be rolled up to three times in a turn to try to make one of the thirteen possible scoring combinations. A game consists of thirteen rounds during which the player chooses which scoring combination is to be used in that round. Once a combination has been used in the game, it cannot be used again.
This game DOES NOT require WIFI, GPS, or any personal information. No ads. No in-app purchases.

We play this game, as well as the ad-supported iPhone version a lot. We are a retired disabled Vietnam vet. Often (20%), the game will kick out and return, sometimes with a zero in a space so the game cannot be finished. So we have to start a new game. Because we play it so much, we have noticed sometimes predictable behavior of rolls and that affects what chances we might take; mostly successfully. A full house will come up on the initial roll of a game. If we dont take it, we often (25%) will get a Yahtzee. Im seeking games that seem like replays of previous games. We are happy for the game. For years we played Yahtzee Adventure but as a 32 bit game it was terminated at the transition to 64-bit. We kept an old iPad just to play it but recently that got frozen in place when it phoned home and there was no answer. We are able and willing to beta test possible solutions should you desire to pursue that.
This game was excellent until the last update. The dice have suddenly become hideously large. We hope the programmers will return the dice to the size the were before.
Great game! So addictive but it freezes up and the only way we can un freeze it is to reboot. Please fix that issue! Otherwise, love the game.

This is a great game but it freezes and you have to go through all the machinations to unfreeze it. Now the scores for each item disappears once the score is put in the appropriate slot. We guess we will have to uninstall and install again to get it to work. It is the best Yatzy we have played. What a shame these things cant be fixed.
We have always enjoyed Yatzy since we were in middle school and high school. Love knowing we can carry it with us on our iPad. It recently froze on us and we had to delete the app and install again. Other then that we can recommend to anyone who wants to try. Plus is that you dont have to buy anything to play it.

We quickly became addicted to this game, but sometime in the last 6months, bugs appeared. After some games the program aborts, and doesnt realize its done. The only cure is to reset all data and start a new series of games. We usually dont get farther than 4 or 5 games before this happens. In addition, if you accidentally hit one of the Yahtzee squares whenyoure trying to enter a value in Chance, for example (or you just accidentally touch the screen), then the lrogram nullifies your 100-point bonus for all future Yahtzees. That means youlose upto 300 points per Yahtzee that you have. If these bugs are fixed, this will again be our all-time favorite. Till then, its rea.ly frustrating.
Ive enjoyed this game for a while on our iPad. The only problem is that the app will occasionally freeze when we tap Undo. Luckily, this does not happen very often.
Love playing this game. If we were to change anything, it would be the die size. Sometimes too small for our senior eyes.
We love this version, but now its doing this weird glitch where your score is recorded, but you can only see it for a second. Then it disappears! We were able to finish the game blindly. Then it said we won, but we had no idea how! We tried deleting it then downloading it again, & that did not fix the problem! Please fix this issue soon.

As with many of the reviews, Yahtzee also either freezes, or else the numbers played dont show up.
For some reason when we throw the dice and we click on one of the squares it keep the number typed in there, not sure what happened. We play this all the time we love it and know we cant tell what we need to complete the game. Why the number disappears? Do you know how we can fix.
Score number font color changes to white so you cant see the scores. Killing the app and running again does not fix the problem. App inexplicably hangs.
Have played this for years and loved it. But with recent IOS update the scores do not stay on the sheet. Have tried anything.
Just not worth it. Freezes all the time. If its for iPad it should work better.
The score briefly appears in the box and then goes away. Worthless.
It freezes constantly. We want our money back, a solution or a fix. Now.
Find another game. Game suddenly stopped displaying the scores after the last iOS update. Tried rebooting the iPad twice and still no display. Shouldnt have to delete the app and reinstall as Im sure that would wipeout a couple of years of saved stats, but nothing left to try unless developer would just fix it.
Freezes doesnt work. Very frustrating. Dont want something difficult to play. Life is hard enough. Wish we could get a refund.
You tap the score sheet to enter your score. Its visible for a second, then disappears. Remembers that the category is taken, but does not show the score. Useless. We want our two dollars back.
Love the game but most games it will not end and you have to start a new game losing your stats.
We had this before & it worked but with new iPad nothing works. Tried the triple yahtzy too & it also doesnt work. Scores wont show up on either. We essentially paid for nothing. 0 stars.
Most like the real thing with physical dice and a score pad. Love it. Rated it 2 years ago and since Im still playing it we would say that says it all! Its a staple for us every day. Thank you.

This is by far the BEST Yatzy game app! No crapping pop-ups and a reasonable price.
Love the game but regularly freezes. By this we mean the dice roll but the score doesnt show up. Nothing to do to resolve but quit playing and wait.

We love that there arent ads and nothing to buy. We deleted the others when they added all the extra junk. We just want to play the game.
Weve tried a bunch of other Yatzy apps. This is the best one weve seen. Some suggestions: place the potential scores in highlighted boxes, especially the 3 or 4 of a kind/total score and chance ones.
Fun game with adjustable speed. Nice not to have ads pop up. Having a few freeze ups now that we have an iPad Air.
Tried 3 others, this is the best. No cutsie animals, no pop up ads with a small app charge and a score pad like the original. The dice sounds are off a bit and we see it hasnt been updated for two years but it works great. Hoping this will continue to be supported.
We havent ever had any issues with it but sometimes it seems like we are repeating a previous game which is fine if we win again.

We tried three other Yahtzee apps, this one was by far the best. The scoring sheet looks the most like a "real" Yahtzee game.
Freezes frequently on our iPad. Locks up and we have to start over later. Sometimes it fixes itself in short time, others much longer and we find turning off our iPad and turning it back on occasionally fixes the freeze issue – temporarily. Needs some adjustments, please. We do enjoy the game except for the frequent freezes.
