Churchill Solitaire is the best game Ive ever played. We are over 1 million points, whatever that means! We will continue playing until we croak.
But we like the old format better.
Have been playing for years. Upgrade has made animation cruder am suspicious random hands are less random. Distinctive patterns have shown up repeatedly. Still love the game but it was more fun before the improvements.
Im disappointed with the game board game Its hard to read and wish it would have stayed the way it was from the beginning This is our favorite game , been playing since 2016.
In iOS 26 on ipad , it works fine in landscape mode. However if you rotate to portrait mode it rotates the table, but does not expand the view. So cards played off screen in landscape mode are still off screen.
This is not the format we paid for! They should have left the original format as a choice. Ive plaid for 10 years but will not renew.
Really ruined a good game with the redesign. Guess its all about money now and not quality play.
We loved it but suddenly the whole game went behind a paywall and requires ongoing payments to keep playing. It used to have a paid option for campaigns and a free random deal option with paid add on options. We would consider paying for random deals if it was unlimited but it only gives a limited number of deals.
The game is great! However, the billing system is awful. It was fine until about six months ago, and then we were double billed for every in app purchase. After appealing to Apple, we did get several of these reversed. Once the last few months without any issues, and then today, we were billed for an app purchase that we not only didnt make, but we didnt get. Appeal to Apple, it was rejected. Last in app purchase for us.
Ive been playing Churchhill Solitaire since it first came out in 2016-2017! Ive been playing it several times daily! Loved it! Now that you made all the changes in formatting and down grades Ive pretty much stopped playing. What a shame. You had a great game.
Ive been playing this game for probably close to 10 years working on the first 200 or so. With this new upgrade we lost all our progress and now we have to pay more for game packs Otherwise we love this game hence why Ive been playing so long. Its our go to for airplanes and waiting around time.
We have been playing this solitaire for a long time and earned our status as a legend Ever since the iOS upgrade on our iPad we have had trouble with the orientation not working correctly when changing from landscape to portrait. We went into the App Store and hit update. Now not only have all our stats gone we are expected to subscribe to a new version. Sorry – you just lost us.
We want the old Churchill Solitaire back not this new version.
We have been playing this game since the very beginning when it first came out. We look forward to it every day especially playing the daily Churchill. We already went through all the random games. But we absolutely hate the recent update and Im about ready to remove it from our iPad. And never play it again. We cant even go back and play the games we didnt win in the previous month! Go back to the original form! Please.
What happened to our old scores and completed games. We have invested a lot of money in this game. We would like to have it back.
We do not like the changes that have been made recently. It is much more difficult. It is much more difficult to play with the new layout. The cards are scrunched up at the top. We do not see the point of the curved display.
We have played this game since day one. The first year or so went fine…. Now the game has bugs and there is no one to help you. App support is non existent. We play around the bugs so we can finish the game…. But we are annoyed by it. Dont really recommend. New subscription games have major bugs!! Never mind trying for a winning streak because when you successfully complete a game… Doesnt give you credit for it. On top of that…. It doesnt show that you completed the game. Have had to play 3-4 games again to show they were completed successfully. Please fix. Not good for $30/month. Cant figure out how to purchase hints or undos after the recent Apple update mandating use of AssistiveTouch. Someone please help. Not hope-full though knowing the tech support of this game. Today is Nov 6.. We wrote the above review years ago and it appears to not have been submitted though we have submitted it several times.. Wonder what will happen to our comments below. We are not able to read other reviews. This last revamp of this game is awful. Cards will not move. Will not stick in a slot. We have not been able to complete any of the last 3 new daily games. Why.
This a great game but the daily subscription option is flawed. This is the second time Ive signed up for a month and the problems remain. Game doesnt register when you win a deal, nor can you keep playing the same game on any given day until you solve it. The deal changes every time you pick that day again. So far we havent encountered an unwinnable deal based on six card stack at the top with our second subscription, but thats was the case before. We would have sent an email for technical support instead a doing it in a review but thats not an option.
Latest update has made the app comprehensively worse. What a disappointment.

The game we have played from its release has now wiped our data on our iPad. It also is glitchy and often will not move a new stack. Before the update, we would have given it 5 stars. Disappointed.
We have been playing the random deals for years and just recently an update happened and now we have to subscribe and the look has changed for the iPhone. In the App Store it shows the look and landscape orientation that we have been playing with, but now we cannot get it. So sad. We love this game. It is the only one we play on our phone. Please go back!! Otherwise we will be looking elsewhere for this game.
We have been playing this game almost since the app was launched and we cannot believe that after purchasing all the campaigns and several hints and undo packs, our rank is now gone, our hints/undos are gone and to play, we have to purchase these campaigns. How is that right to pay twice? There is NO option to restore so that we can keep our stats. We either want our stats and campaign access back, or a refund for all the campaigns we purchased (and we bought all of them) that have seemingly disappeared.
We have been playing this game for years! We absolutely loved it until the last upgrade. We dont enjoy playing it at all anymore, because the screen is tooooo busy! We wish we could have our old game back.

We got this game at the very beginning and paid the Lifetime fee for it. But that isnt reflected in this new update. It allowed us to play all the random games we like. Please fix.
The functionality of this new format is nothing short of aggregating. Playing on a small screen causes one to lose the flow. The glitzes are frustrating. This is an intense game and the way it works is a disincentive.
Ive been playing for at least a couple of years. Last week we achieved Member of Parliament with 50,000+ points. Early on we reported a bug that necessitated our regularly deleting the app and reloading for it to record our game points. The game was virtually never updated, so we decided to just live with the bug. The reload never deleted our standing and points. UNTIL TODAY. Suddenly Ive been busted down to Cadet but with 40,000 points. How does that even make sense?! Ive subscribed for the (winnableha!) daily games nearly the whole time just to lose our progress. Ill be looking for a real person to see about fixing this. Or Ill delete it for good and all. So disappointing. Two stars because it was fun while it lasted.
The only good thing about the new format is how quickly it loads. The screen is too bright and hurts our eyes to play. We dont like the tiny deck in the upper left, and we dont like the placement of the aces. We play them in a different order. When we finally won a game, the prompt kept asking us if we wanted an auto complete. We DID NOT, but then we had to decline again each time we played a card. VERY annoying. We like to play out our hands. PLEASE bring the old format back, or at least, give us a choice. If this doesnt happen by the time our annual subscription runs out, we wont be renewing. We thought our beloved solitaire app was not getting the attention she deserved and was dying a slow death, but lo and behold and update arrived and we love it even more! The card movements are so smooth and the updated looks are awesome and we cant wait to get to the new challenges. Thank you.
World war card game, the only thing at war is our will to live whilst playing this game. You have no idea how to develop a game do you. There needs to be ads every 5 picoseconds, and women busting it down in the corners of our screens. Also, the devils six? What are you DOING.
Just updated, and immediately noticed that the 72 hints and 75 redos we had purchased had disappeared. We do see that there are a few new ones, but can we get our old ones back or receive a refund? Thanks.
Went from 5 stars to 3. This is the only daily game we play and the upgrade blew away our statistics and the new version is not as visually appealing,.
We consider ourselves an early adopter of this game and we play it every day. We love it and we love the challenge. Im quite disappointed on the other hand with the update, zeroing out all our prior accomplishments and losing the ability to go back to prior months that we were trying to complete. And its zeroed out all of our completions for this month as well. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Aside from that, the new layout and capabilities look very interesting and we look forward to continuing to play daily. We highly recommend an annual subscription.
Very annoying that theyve updated this to require an additional purchase to get randomly dealt games. Not cool.
This is the absolute best game we have ever played. This game should win a Nobel peace prize and at least 17 Grammies. They should also port it to all consoles and pc so the whole world can enjoy this masterpiece. We cannot express how this game has changed our life for the better enough.
We love this game but when we get to about 8 undos l am billed for another undo pack but we dont get it delivered. This has happened MANY times. Yes it is only .99 cents but we have probably been billed $5 to $10 over the past few months before we really noticed this was happening. That is stealing. Happened again today 07-17-2022. Please help us fix if developer sees this post. Others watch out if this happens to you.

We just upgraded to Legend to get 300 new gamesand we have NO new games. How do we get the 300 we just paid for.
Although we continue to have issues getting to the next game on occasion, we love playing this challenging card game. Have been playing for several years almost every day, and never tire of the challenge.

Fun and can be very challenging. A cut above your average solitaire game. We have had this app for a few years and actually just started using it. Sorry we did not start sooner.
Finally, a game that we really love! Makes Solitaire more challenging and interesting, and we love the Churchill quotes and footage. Our other games are feeling neglected. Thanks so much.
