Planet Builder – Create Your Own Solar System is a Simulation game from David Nelson, first launched in 11th November 2015.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 72+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Planet Builder – Create Your Own Solar System Stand Out

With Planet Builder, you are the architect of your own solar system. Build planets and moons, and choose their attributes such as name, size, orbit speed, spin speed, tilt, rings, orbit distance, and appearance. Watch them orbit in real-time 3D, creating trails behind them as they circle the sun.

Want to make things interesting? Press the asteroid attack button and watch as asteroids knock your planets out of orbit! Or, shoot asteroids at them yourself with the Asteroid Cannon.

Make your sun go Supernova and turn into a black hole, and suck all your planets in.

Increase or decrease the sun gravity, or activate Planetary Gravity, which gives each planet it's own gravitational field.

Or, start in Quick Start mode and enter our Solar System, with all 8 planets (and Pluto!) and their major moons, and the asteroid belt. High resolution textures and recent pictures of Pluto from the New Horizons space probe add an extra layer of realism.

This Simulation game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

So we got this game yesterday and as soon as we created the first planet we loved it. Might not be interesting, but these are us planets names. Mersery, Wennit, Catilda. We love that you can have different speed levels and that you can customize your planets and you dont have to stick with just the Mercury and Venus textures. Love it.

When we downloaded it best day eeeverrr we love black holes and when the star explodes it becomes one and its just soooo fun.

We have a lot of fun playing With this games Mechanics In till we ran Out of textures So maybe just add ALOT and maybe add a Save file with A galaxy And maybe Add A Space ship That you can Drive in Exploring Youre Solar system And you can add life to worlds and a Inside to the planets like Saturn,Jupiter,Uranus,Neptune And to the Rainbow Texture And the purple texture or you can make a Surface to the textures like mountains And buildings if there is a Civilization On that planet Or you can destroy planets like Aliens Or Nukes Or A Rogue planet Or a Planet Collision And add more dead Reminats to stars like Nutron stars and White Dwarfs And And For the sun gravity and if there is negative gravity turn the black hole into a White hole and when you add moons you can add moons to them over all you should Download this Playground and Playaround s.

Can you have a save file and add to make it so you can travel galaxies and if you zoom in to planets it shows the surface of the planet. It is also a great educational game though keep up the great work.

Mars has moons that are Asteroids how do we create that please Tell us.

Can you add an update to create and destroy life with a list of impossible ways plz? Thank you.

Far far away from this universe stands another universe called (beep will update dis soon(.

We Would Like An Update That You Can Launch From Your Planets And When You Quit Your System, You Cant Save It! So we Would Want You To Add That.

That thing is saving. Update the game and put that in the update. DO IT NOW.

This game is aw-some!!! We love it! We do have some ideas to make it even more fun though, like bring able to create life and see their reactions when you destroy your/their solar system. Also you should be able to save your best systems and make multiple systems. One last thing, more ways to destroy planets, like alien attacks, or we don't know, planet collisions. We still love the game, you must download it, it is AWSOME.

But we need a save option please and one thing we think is that we wish we could have more then ten plants and more then 4 moons cuz in the real world some plants have 16 moons And we just wanted to say it's our second favorite game.

We think you're game is awesome but we think you could spice it up a little. First, we think you should add a save file. Second, we think you should add a feature were you pick a photo and it wraps around the planet making it look your photo. Third, you should add a space flight simulator to fly around your solar system. Fourth, this is one of our favorites! So all the solar systems you have saved are in a galaxy, and you can click on them to see them, also in your spaceship flight simulator you can drive to them. Fifth, you should add more planet/moon textures, for example, Mimas, Ceres, Jupiters moons, and much more. Sixth, this is the last one, when adding photos for your planet textures you should be able to add what you're planet looks at night, yup you can add city lights. Hope you took the time to read this and add it in your game, thanks.

We would've given 5 stars, but we noticed a slight problem when you quit your solar system. You can't save it. It would be great if you guys could add a save file, where you could store all of your solar systems. Thanks, and this is a really fun game.

Make a way to add space rockets, shuttles, stations, probes, and satellites. Make it so that you can control what the rings look like. Make it so that the star can be normal again. Also make white dwarfs, neutron stars, pulsars, make no as with white dwarves orbiting the main star. Put more than one star in one system. Make it so that you can save the system and that you can make more than one.

We're really having lots of fun causing massive destruction in the solar system. We do have one suggestion. Can you please implement the ability to save and load worlds please? It would really help a lot! Thanks.

The graphics are pretty tight, the physics and Gravity is on the money, and the asteroid target practice is awesome. It's excellent when the sun's Gravity is maxed out, curving the trajectory of your roids for more challenging targeting. With such a great foundation, there is a lot of room for expansion in future updates (perhaps binary systems with each star playing for Gravity, user customizable planet scapes, close up world mode where you enter a sub game and build planets from core to mantle, to the and terrain). We definitely recommend this game…it's a load of fun.

The only issue we have with this game is the fact that there is no save button. Until that gets added we dont see the point of playing sadly.

You need to add orbit tilts and so you can save your solar system and make it so you make the planets farther from the sun and we want to rename the sun you need more textures and you need to update the limit of moons so we can replicate the solar system properly and we NEED asteroid moons and a save button and we want to customize the rings for the planets and we want it so you can make the planets smaller than 10.

We like this game but when you turn on the planets gravity, then fire a asteroid toward it, then the asteroid just avoid it from colliding.

Can you make more options please.

This game is pretty much halfway into Alpha version. Reason? 1. Needs more textures. 2. Needs a save button 3. Maybe graphic ups (just a suggestion) 4. Maybe make the max planets thing up to 15 or 12. 5. Maybe… A multiplayer game? Im dont no. Last one 6. Make a whole galaxy. Thanks for reading this.

This is great, it is basically a mini version of Universal Sandbox! However there is one fatal flaw. There is no save option! And even worse, it takes time to set everything up! You could spend an hour making a really complex solar system, but as soon as you leave, it is gone forever! If you make a save option, this would be a five star app. No doubt.

Hey this game is great but there is one thing that you can implement… A save file. This would make it so people can have multiple solar systems that you can go back to. Thanks hope you see this.

Can someone comment on how you save the solar system that you created so that if you close the app you can get to it again.

We really want to add a save file so we can continue making planets and editing them instead of starting over every time.

We seen (no offense) better games that where free please move down the price or delete the price also we want to add a planet life feature including life and more planet design freedom.
