Im very much enjoying it the graphics are quite good we wish there was an in between or a custom setting sort of in between the expert and the insane mood. This is very enjoyable and Im getting used to it. There are some sort of cryptic confusing instructions on a few of these games that really make you scratch your head and go Im not getting it and they dont allow a hint its just a skip which is a little frustrating but other than that we are finding this to be one of the more enjoyable higher end games.
If you like figuring out mysteries we highly recommend this game for you, its the BEST GAME EVER, this is better than any other mystery game we have ever played. You might think different but this is just our opinion.
So far, we've been playing at Expert level. The opening scene is nicely laid out, and it's daylight. First HO was a combination of finding shapes, some of which are hidden, then searching for spelled out items. So far, enjoyable. The Second scene is also daylight, yay, and searching for items is straightforward, with no strange or difficult tasks. The wire puzzle took a few minutes, but just follow the guide on the right. We're still in the free game, and hope it goes one more scene. The music and voice are clear, and blend nicely with the scenes. We'll update our review after the next scene; we were prompted for a review after the first two scenes.
Game was on sale was just ok. These games are just so short thank God we didnt have to pay full price.
You get a map, then try to figure out where it is! LOL. This game Is peculiar. You start off climbing a cliff. Duh! A very odd activity. We're used to the game zeroing in on an area when you click it. That doesn't always happen here. You're far away from the gap you need to cross, but that's when you place the board. The guy is tied up, so you need to get something to cut the ropes, right? Wrong! We STILL don't know how his hands got loose, and we played this trial game twice! We are so very disappointed in Big Fish. We WANT to buy a new game, but haven't seen one worth buying in a long time.
We placed the clown balloon under the stand as soon as we found it; after we collected the helium tank, we returned to that scene and the balloon had vanished. We checked the original spawn site and the balloon could no longer be collected. We verified with game hints that we could not move forward in any way: we placed into an endless loop of being sent to the subway car, then the stand that we were supposed to lift with the balloon, and back again. We then read the guide, which said to place the balloon and the tank at the same time, but there was nothing in gameplay to discourage using the items as soon as you found them. So discouraging to lose several hours of gameplay (and the $4.99 we paid). We guess we could start over, but without 100% assurance that waiting to place the items together wouldnt be an effective workaround, we have no real desire to do so.
For someone who plays puzzle/ho games a lot we have to say this by far the worst!!! The storyline was dumb, the puzzles weren't really puzzles more like "click her to put this together". Some of the task and solutions made absolutely no sense. We admit it seemed ok when we decided to purchase it but after a short time we could wait to finish. Do not waste your time or money, this one is just terrible.
We'll give this game one star before we even play it because it looks entertaining. We'll rate it an additional star if the characters lips move when they talk.
Purchased game on 3/26/16. Loved it. Downloaded to replay this release, no record of purchase. Pretty cheesy way to make a few bucks. At least be honest that this is a re-release and not new and keep the purchase record with the game.
