Loved this game. It was challenging but not hard enough we were stumped and frustrated. Very entertaining.
The story line is typical but the presentation and execution of the puzzles and hidden objects are fresh and imaginative. Really enjoy this game.
Graphics are nice and flow easily. Games are not frustrating and make sense. Narration does not completely take over the game, just enough to explain what's going on. Have only made it through the first 5 scenes, but expect the rest to be just as good.

UPDATE: Today is Thanksgiving, 2018. By now you know BigFish has discontinued this beloved genre. We have heard from 4 Friends, Mariaglorum, GrandMA Studios, Mad Head, and Domini Games. Per their contract with BigFish they cannot use another distributor , such as Artifex Mundi. They can only self-release games for iOS. But they are asking us questions! Wouldn't it be nice if they all talked to each other and formed their own distributorship? Please gamers , if you love and want new games, start contacting the developers. We can't do this ourselves! We will update you in the re-releases when there's anymore to tell, so just check the re-releases to see if we have news. For example, if a game is new and released, you bet we are going to tell you! BigFish destroyed our genre but we can't let them break our spirit. It is apparent that the developers are quite upset as well. What a nice bunch of folks they are. Please try and reach out to them! Lynxie sends wishes! Kudos,BigFish! We are finally able to rate a full 5 stars. This gem from Mariaglorum was fabulous. You could customize settings. The graphics were terrific and the cut-scenes were electrifying. You collect owls and figurines. Loading was instantaneous between locations. There was a marked, if so desired, fantastic teleport map. All inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. The HO scenes were not overly numerous and they were interesting and varied. The puzzles and mini-games were a lot of fun and not just boring rotational stuff. There was plenty to do at each location, and the game flowed well and ran perfectly, glitch-free. It was a decent length and had a bonus adventure. There were NO RATS, to add to our pleasure, just a couple of mice and one was a toy! BigFish, lately you have been stepping up to the plate and giving us blockbusters! Please keep it up, and could we have a new Empress? Lynxie sends lots of to the Dream Team Elite, especially Dracyy, who always has our back and also the wonderful KimT! Great puzzles, good story, Ive played it more than once. The voices are a little campy, but overall we enjoyed this game immensely.

You do not always have to have a great plot, but interesting games,hogs and maps that work are awesome.
This is the best game so far, a little more challenging than the others that we have, the other League of Light games we mean.
We have played a number of mystery games and this was one of the best we've played. Not just hidden objects. It was a very nice change. It comes with a map so you can jump to areas you need to. You have to buy the strategy guide but you don't really need it. The only glitch we came across was when we went to enter a second player. When entering a name it freezes. We couldn't type a letter. The typing board appeared but it wouldn't take any letter. We played this game on iPad Air, IOS 10.0.2.

We've played many games like this one and this one is one of the best. Better than average mini games are the best. Clever hos that are not repetitive and unique each time.

Probably one of their better games. Lots of mini games (they're pretty easy but fun nonetheless) & HOS with great artwork. We can't stand HOG where you can't even tell what the objects are due to crappy artwork-this is NOT a problem here. The story is interesting but nothing over the top. We do like the fact that you, the hero, can assign a woman's voice or a man's voice. There are female gamers & it's a good idea to tell a young girl SHE can also be a hero for a change. The Mom in us thanks you for that one.

This is one of the best games that has been released in a while. We enjoyed it, great game. We loved the extra chapter, we wish they would have made an entire game with that story line.
Nice game, not too challenging but fun. Makes you think and solving it at your own pace, also at the same time, you're finding extra items for the collections.

It's gotten to the point where we just automatically buy anything made by these developers! League of Light is one of our all time favorite series. It offers custom settings, which is always great. It also has a good map – no teleporting, but if you hit the "hint" it'll take you right to the spot that you need. The games are just difficult enough to be entertaining, (although a few of them are super easy, but that's not the norm is this game) difficult enough to offer a challenge, but not so hard that you pull your hair out until you finally hit the skip button. Fun collectables, owls in every scene. A small group (5) of statues. (we don't think there any others, but we could be wrong.) Plus if you wait until the credits are finished you're given another "reward" in the achievement section. We highly recommend this game, & ANY other of the League of Light series.
This game was a great time for us. Great puzzles and problems to solve. Rich colors and great graphics. We played this game each night for a week and enjoyed every minute.

Agree with all the great reviews. Excellent fundamentals–cut scenes, voice overs, back button, decent but not giveaway hints, teleporting map, labeled inventory, but oh…reviewers, the varied minigames were challenging and unique and just plain fun. There were collectibles, and if you missed one, you could go back to a scene to find it. We like that, because then you can follow the story and not always be thinking about where the owl is. Also, cheers to the dev team and QA folks who tested this game so that it was seamless and glitch-free. So many of the games crash or take time to load but this was just so smooth…we really was fully engaged in the game and storyline. And the bonus game was fun, too. Highly recommend, at sale or non sale price. Thanks for the great reviews that helped us to decide to purchase this game. Hope all are well. Xo.

Wow! We'd started to think that worthwhile HOGs were a thing of the past, but this one reminded us how fun (and actually worth the price) they can be. Great flow, unique style, nice variety, interesting story, beautiful graphics, and excellent sound effects. The five-star rating is inadequate for this truly superior game.

We love HOG! This one has an okay storyline with the ability to change the character's voice. The puzzles are a great change up over the same process of finishing a game.

We liked this game! Gameplay was smooth, with no glitches, had a nice teleporting map, and it took a while for us to finish it…haven't played the bonus game, yet, and we purchased the game over a week ago (lots of stops and starts). Also, you get to choose between a male and female character…we chose female ('cause we are one, so that made sense!), and we kept wondering the whole game why we thought that we had heard the characters voice before. When we got to the end, we read through the credits, and discovered that Lani Minella was the female characters voice…if any of our fellow gamers have played any of the HER Interactive games, she is the voice of none other than Nancy Drew! Anyways, we did like this game, and recommend it…nice graphics and no occult stuff that we hate to spend money on… Just a good game to play to pass the time.
