Community Insight:

It gets really difficult quickly but very fun to play. Great graphics also. Playing on iPad pro m2 and runs like a dream.

We love this game! Its amazing. The graphics, the gameplay, controls, unique enemies, amazing storyline, survival, and we just think it was worth the 10 dollars. Im just disappointed in these ratings… Anyways… Keep up the good work! This is definitely our favorite 2D game of all time.

On our device (iPod touch) we found the controls made the game unplayable. We imagine the game plays better on a more advanced platform like a modern iPad (2019) we WISH this game was available to be played with either a Nintendo hand held device or a Sony PSP / we would buy this game in two seconds of it were available for any gaming system with actual (not touch screen) controls Developers… Please! Get this game to be for sale through Nintendo.

Just its fun just not fun enough to buy.

We had deleted this game. Because the game doesn't have Chinese and it costs $9.99. But after 1 year we were looking for it in the history to download it and buy the full game. Although we didn't even play the whole game, but we didn't find other games to replace it during the year. We understand that this game is so fun.XD (But we don't know how to connect with others).

Once we got used to the controls (20 minutes), the game really shines as something new and fresh. Strategically changing ships is a great new play mechanic. The one star reviews are unfair, it is just a way to provide a good demo before you decide whether or not you want to buy it. Im liking this as much as we like Neon Chrome, our current favorite dual stick shooter.

Paid and loving it! It's a STRATEGIC SHOOTER people! Not a SHMUP! If you're looking for something strategic and challenging, buy to unlock, worth the price and then some. To add, rpg elements involved here, upgrading ships and more.

Because this is an awesome game hands down! It's polished. It's a single priced premium experience with a long campaign and 3 survival modes and tons of replayability. There are lots of upgrades. There is a lot of diversity with the types of squadrons you can put together. The gameplay is fun and intense. 10tons put a lot of effort into the game and it shows. For all of the whiners complaining about having to pay only $5 for a game it actually costs money to make a game with this quality. If you can't afford to pay $5 then don't bother playing games on your phone cheapskates. We absolutely recommend this game. The controls are well done as well. Thank you 10toms for a great time.

Don't listen to the stupid reviewers complaining about the price. They just want something for free. Just a bunch of whiny people.

Revised review considering all the negitives we see here. First off its a premium game and only if you pay the one time premium price (which few have done here apparently) you get the full game and we don't see ads but then we play offline. Second, 10tons designed the controls purposely to give the game/ship actual "feel" when moving the ship, a lost art to some it seems. We play on an iPad and NO ISSUES and controls take but a few moments to get used to, just like many other iOS game. Just playing without paying then to post a review is just worthless, the actual game was never really played. Highly Recommend! Good job 10tons for another suprb game.

First of all, the free portion is a demo fueled by ads. — Blah blah blah Previous complaint about control size on the phone, but it's now more manageable. We don't care too much about the ads; most are short (Most players are for the demo. Don't expect too much from it…). Based on the demo, this game appears to be a bullet hell type of game with restrictions, such as weapon overheat and limited cash to upgrade, to amp up the difficulty. The company's mean to lessen the difficulty was by implementing a dodge-mechanic by switching ships; this gave player a brief invulnerability while giving them full control to move the ship. (Exploit this and manage your ship-switching cooldowns.) — we personally enjoy the weapon overheat; it gives the game a unique level of difficulty while retaining its bullet hell format. We suppose many players aren't used to these types of game and expected infinite bullets from traditional bullet hell/plane shooter games. A tip to manage weapon overheat is to dodge around bullets often and shoot in short bursts. The game functions on spawning waves of enemies, so you'll be seeing the remaining enemies again.

The demo was great. When you buy the full game, and you manage to complete it, the storyline is decent too. But we also love it when none of your tech works, like the anti-tracking things that are supposed to keep you alive but don't work, so you lose that ship. Oh, we also love when the enemies come BACK ONTO the screen from the side or back, and attack you while you helplessly try to dodge them. And the best part of this game is when all of the enemies just ram straight into you. You can dodge as many bullets as you want, but they just suicide straight into your ship. Great game, devs. Really worth the money.

We've been looking for a space game for our son, this is not a good game.

We're a big fan of schmups, but this game seems to take the rule book and actively design against it. The result: a frustrating game full of limitations and flaws. Controls are sloppy and awkward (either commit to motion aiming conventions or not) the weapon overheat is absurdly short and punitive (the weapon cooldown takes longer than the overheat itself!) and enemies are consistently attacking from areas occluded by the chunky UI controls (or from outside of the screen entirely). Icing on the cake: repairing all four of your craft can cost more currency than you make in a mission, so advancement is slow and grueling (if even possible). We don't know how you can fix this mess. Sorry devs.

Graphics are okay. Sound is somewhat tolerable. Problems: (1) Watch advert to play level. This is a biggie. Serious problem. About 90% of your users will delete this game on that reason alone. (2) Weapon overheat. Depending on your game preferences this may be "realistic", but for us it's "oboy we're weaponless time to be annoyed until it wears off". This problem will account for the remaining 3% of your user deletions of this game. It is a 30% playerbase ragequit factor in all other games, but since the devs decided to annoy everyone upfront with idiot-design-ad-bludgeons… (3) Ships go boom, no obvious immediate clues on free repair times. Oh… "realism"… Sure we'll defend our homeworld from aliens so long as we have to pay for ship repairs & upgrades from our own pockets… Rub those sheckles together that you save while the alien invaders rain doom upon your empty skulls… Just a word of wisdom. Because you probably haven't figured out why you have a 99.5% game deletion after 3 minutes of user playtime.

Seems like a fun game, but we never got to play it because they wanted us to sit through ads before we even got the chance to try it. Screw that. Might've paid the 10 bucks for the full version if it was fun. We guess we'll never know. Ah, who'm we kidding? No game is worth $10, we wouldn't have paid that either way. Maybe $5, for a super-fun game with high reply value. But not if they want us to watch ads before they even let us try it one time, that's just stupid. That's not a "demo". That's profiteering, and not fun. Poor way to try to sell a ridiculously overpriced game, didn't work on us.

The game is not fun when you only can get 4 levels in and then die because you have no cash and can't buy anymore ships, needs so more improvements in order to be better.

But we would not know cause every mission has an add you have to watch.we turned of our wifi and it still showed adds. Either it access our wifi without permission or they are loaded in the game.

Watch loads of ads or pay $$$$$… We have know idea where is it going ???? They don't even have anything special in the game and they want $4.99….. Seriously.

It lets you test the controls then prompts you to pay $4.99 to continue. This gets one star for false advertising. Please App Store change this to reflect its actual cost. Total BS.

Don't offer a free game, wast people's time then force to buy.

This game is super polished. Destroying enemies is so satisfying and each hit you take means something as you have to pay with a limited amount of resources for ship repair costs. We love that you can't just "restart" a level with a bad start. Every time you play it's critical to not screw up! The controls do take some time to get used to. We highly recommend this game.

This is a great game and it's getting alot of bad reviews because of a "pay wall". This is the problem with ios games today, everyone a want a bunch of free to play crap games. This is a premium game with a free demo, not a pay wall. Instead of going to get a Big Mac to stuff your face with support a premium game so we can get some decent stuff to play instead of endless f2p clones everywhere. It's so disappointing to see what the average ios customer is like.

We're sorry, but we have just got to say something. We understand some of you might have issues with the controls, but this is a port of a game originally intended for PC and consoles, otherwise systems where your fingers don't cover parts of the screen we believe 10tons did the best they could trying to adapt the controls to touchscreen. These guys made Crimsonland and Neon Chrome, give them a break, lol! :P It did not take us long to get used to the controls, we think they are perfect. As far as the price for unlock? Worth every penny. This is one of the best space shooters available for iOS in our opinion. These devs are amazing, please don't let these misinformed reviews sway your purchase. This game is meant to be premium, but they were just trying to give people a chance to try before they buy. This was never meant to be f2p, just buy the unlock. That's the only way to truly experience the genius of this game. We're probably gonna buy this for the Vita as well we love it that much… :) hope you enjoy it too! We are discussing this game at the TouchArcade forums as well, our name is skylined87.

Seriously, don't insult our gaming abilities with 3 little circles, give us what's shown in the demo! The font is illegible at phone size – was this playtested on real devices.

First let us say that the graphics are beautiful the background sound is really really nice the art work is great and the idea is great and we played it quite a few times and then it just Dawned on us what was wrong with it, and that is , it's slow , the movement from your finger to the ship, the travity is odd,the movement is just slow which makes it dull, speed it up a notch for more fun.

Honestly, the game is really fun. The thing is, is that they put it under free then charge you $5 to play the game. Otherwise it's really fun.

You make us see the same ad for the premium version every time you start a mission it's annoying and the gameplay is new or different in any way.

After about two minutes, we were done. The control scheme is so very annoying. We are using this on an iPad, so maybe it would be less awful on a smaller screen, but we no longer have any desire to find out.

We will admit, this is a very well thought out game with a good take on space shooters. But, one of our main problems with it is that we can't play the full game, just because you (the game developer) wants to make a few extra dollars. Like, it's just cruel how you lure a gamer into a wonderful game full of hours of fun, and then just to ruin it by telling someone that you need to spend 5 DOLLARS for a game you thought was free. We doubt the developer(s) will make a change but we just wanted to say what was on our mind and most of everyone's mind.

Watch an ad before each mission?? We're sure it encourages people to pay for the full game but it discouraged us enough during the first few missions to stop playing.

Really? All you get to do is play the tutorial, and unless you want to use different ships and actually play the game you have to pay 5 dollars! We'd rather you make us pay up front then let us download the game and have to pay in-game.

The game is fun but the video ads don't pause the game and instead get almost 2 ships destroyed. One does for sure no matter what.

The right fire button is close to the middle of the screen instead of the right side. Why Why Why make unconventional controls? This makes our thumb obscure the view of a large portion of screen. The switch ships is used very little compared to fire so it should go in the middle. When we switch ships we cannot even see where the ship has warped in. We loved neon chrome but this game is unplayable.

Sluggish controls. The developers worked against there self on this one,The game feels like they tried to hard to be mediocre.

We gave it a try like we do watching movies that are given 3 or below stars cuz they are usually better then those who rated it low…..but sadly this is not 1 of those cases it is hard to play as the person (s) who designed this game is not only acting like they have a few screws loose but she acting like we are playing with a game controller instead of an iPod, iPhone or any of these devices Wake up man and keep your mind on the prize & the size we are using to play this game…Very Disappointed Am deleting this worthless game.

Makes u watch an ad to play 1st level. And graphics are fuzzy so not worth it.

Had the possibility to be a great game but all the content is locked behind a paywall.

This game is not even the full game it's only a demo and they charge you 5 bucks for the full unlock just warning you people out there before you download.
