Ive been playing this consistently for years really love this game.
We first played this game about five years agocoming back to it now, its even better than we remember. Interesting story, lots to do.
Even with the ads, they are less frequent. The game is a great storytelling RPG. We enjoy being the ruler of a small area of land. We also enjoy the choice making aspect that the game has to offer. Great job developers.
We played and re-played all the great tournament games, swamp castles enough times that we sometimes forget that someone else wrote them lol! Our biggest and only complaint is we have not seen a fresh addition to the series (such as a swamp castle 2, or great tournament the great ending!) Cheers to the creators.
This is overall such a great game the only thing we would like is to make the government option a little easier but anyways it would a 11/10 and if you dont like the timer we have a small hack not a literal one but at the end get to score now restart game hit restart and boom no 20 minute wait.
One of the most fun choose your own adventures we've ever played! Only complaint is that it's a bit short.

Rated at 5 to offset what seems to be unfair reviews in our opinion. Few spelling errors and the like in text. Amazing concept. Has potential to be better if more descriptive, and historically accurate in some areas. Very, Very challenging game mechanics and story choices. This may actually be fun for some readers or really, really anger other readers. It has multiple Ok-ish endings that are disappointingly short. You can win at everything if you make the right choice. It is aggravating to play half way or more into the story and then die if you don't make the right choice out of multiple options.
11/16/16 we love this game, however we wish there were more ways the story could go, and that it wasn't so easy to die. We had 14,000 gold and a good rule, but then all of a sudden we chose one choice and it says "you have died or lost control of your kingdom." That makes no sense, considering our leadership and rule was very high in numbers. Please fix this, we always die at some point in the civil war, and also maybe show a timeline so we can know whenever we are able to upgrade a skill of get taxes. 11/25/16 we just beat the game. To the developer: please add more to the story than the end you currently have, you need a longer story. Also, make there be more endings please.
This was just like a game on pen and paper us and our friends used to play, we always called it "maps" (the main paper was a fantasy style map we drew). This game was so great we couldn't put it down. It did feel short but we know it's a lot of work. However it would be nice if you updated it and added more little by little so it isn't one of those games that you play once the delete. This is definitely your best game.
We think this game is really fun, and the writing is hilarious and playful. Basically keep this on our phone to use whenever we're killing time.

We may be a little biased towards hosted games since we have downloaded almost everyone but this story was both artful and captivating.
Enjoyed all of the game except for the fact that when u die u have to restart THE FUKING ENTIRE game, checkpoints should be after every tax collection. Really enjoyed the game otherwise, top 5 "choose your own adventure" games. Although we love the reference to Varys from "The Great Tournament", it got us to replay TGT. Another complaint we have is the fact that we got stuck having to click next for 10 min because during the kings castle siege the rebels always had 104 more units than us, so we had to click next for 10 min KNOWING we were gonna lose bc some random bs.
Pretty fun l had a good time playing it a little short and we noticed a few spelling errors.
This feels like a written version of Age of Empires. There is potential, but the author is advised to read actual fantasy novels to learn how to construct a consistent fantasy world and narrative. Also in need of editing. As well, access to all relevant game data would be appreciated. Cannot recommend at this time.
Really wanted to like this one, but can't recommend it. The writing is okay with occasional typos and logic errors. Things seem to happen randomly. Important game design information is hidden from the player. Do we have enough troops to defeat the enemy? shrug Do we have enough strength to defeat the barbarian king? shrug The frequency of game over possibilities makes this game play more like a series of Quick Time Events (choose the right things in the correct order or lose) than an interactive fiction game with branching paths and interesting consequences for choices.
