Community Insight:

The game has been good to us , make it easier to build it up and not so long as it is now!now you have taken off a good area, (battle rate) and now we got the same old area to fight in! Been playing game since 12/2017 and we still like it, except we cant buy an S tier ship, no matter how much gold we spend . We did get one (1) after 150 gold after several years and we have a bunch of ships but no killers. Thanks, D HL Right now we are having trouble under standing the new order of the new way to get ships and other things new! We still like the game so far, we cant buy us any high rank ships, no matter what we do to buy a good ship. We still get a e or d ship even if we try with full amount of steel, oil and gold. If it keeps up then we might have to quit! DHL As of this date: it is so hard and costly to get an S Tier ship, the game is not worth playing any more. We have spent more than 150,000 in gold and got (1) S tier ship, in US fleet, CV 8 Doolittle! So its not worth it ro spend that kind of US dollars for gold to get the only ships worth fighting ! The Snke has spoken, been playing since 12/20/2017. So give us a break! DHL.

A fun game for the most part, but to unrealistic. Subs are faster than ships and have a weird turning radius. Some of the BB's fly across the screen, they should have the highest hit to damage ratio than any other ship. The longer you play the more frustrating and unrealistic the game seems. Just our opinion.

Good game, but it takes forever to gain decent ships!! Some S level ships are not great.

Naval combat sim with varying degrees of difficulty, quick 10 vs 10 matches, great progression system, awesome community, will run on almost anything, constant updates by developers, chat system has live moderators. All together this adds up to a awesome game that you can play for years and still enjoy it.

We will even pay for them for real im just tired of same game modes over and over.

Great game! Lots of fun. Always improving.

Fun game, wish you could use same crew on different ships.

Ive been playing for years. A game where you can use your thumbs and brains.

Been playing NF for 7-8 years. Great community great game. No ads until this update and they are totally optional. Strategy naval game with hundreds of ships. Simple game play, unlike most other naval games Ive played. Come join Noas Ark and play with squid, magrat, goat, salty dog, krash and all the other animals on the ark.

The game has been good to us , make it easier to build it up and not so long as it is now.

We been playing back when it was only on pc! A true fan, been playing ever since. One of our favorite games.

Good, but not great. Takes a long long time to get decent ships. Getting top grade SS ships almost impossible.

Ive been playing for years. A game where you can use your thumbs and brains.

Every last American ship needs to be nerfed.

Do not spend one dime on this game. The costs are hidden. You may luck out and win a battleship in a lottery. They dont tell you that it will cost you $250 real smackers to equip it. There are also hackers that ruin game play. The last rhubarb is dysnch, every game has it, however play 5 min and have your victory robbed that you spent cash and time gone.

When we were picking a country, we picked britian by accident and wanted germany instead so we reinstalled the game and we still have our British account. What do we do to reset.

Paid & played. Crew mgt took our paid resources & repeated promotions disappeared. Will play to the limits of frustration with free play then dump game. No email so we guess our problem & easy rip off. Sure looks like bad business.

Ships without main guns That cannot shoot at aircraft are basically defenseless against enemy aircraft, please make it so that float planes can shoot at enemy aircraft but overall this game is great.

Cant load because update. Tried contacting support. Says mailbox doesnt exist. Mmmmm. History shows last update 2 months ago.

We have 1 suggestion and it is to be able to talk to teammates in battle.

This was among the first games we ever played on an iPhone, & remained a consistent favorite through the 3 new phones + several years since. It offered exactly what we wanted WWII naval real-time strategy to be; a manner of gameplay that truly stood apart in a sea of button-mashing action and mindless base-building games. Navy Fields perfect blend of direct ship control & tactical, cooperative format was a one-of-a-kind formula that no other game offered. Amazingly, all this time later, theres still nothing similar. Thats both surprising & impressive, but its also a problem bc theres no real rival to spur innovation. Navy Field has been steadily updated and improved over the years, yet still retains its greatest flaw: the time & energy needed to upgrade beyond mid-tier. After completing the single player content (which happens relatively soon), the ability to gain resources & crew experience drops drastically. A mid-level tier C ship has 6 equipment slots & 3-7 crew slots, and each online battle won provides less than .01% of whats needed to upgrade just one those. So it takes many months of daily play to complete a single tier of upgrades on a single ship. And thats after first saving up to acquire the ship, which is only possible after investing in harbor upgrades that also need weeks or months of saving to afford. All that is literally at least 100x greater for tier B or higher. At this point one might think investing money is the only option. Fair enough, the developers created and maintain an excellent product, and they deserve to earn a living. The problem, however, is that even spending on a 30 day boost that doubles experience & resources from battle would only cut upgrade time in half, at best. For mid to upper-tier ships & upgrades, this still means many months of constant grinding. At the height of our love for this game, we did spend some money and was playing at least a few hours every day, sometimes much more. Not counting time spent on prerequisite improvements and resources needed to get our first D tier battleship, fully leveling its crew & upgrading its equipment took about 4 months. When we later got a B tier carrier, its improvements were 10x more expensive, each, and crew leveling was similarly daunting. Needless to say, this is quite frustrating. Spending a great deal of time playing yields just a trickle of improvement. Even with a relatively substantial monetary investment (e.g. $20-40/month), progress takes a very, very long time. While the single player content is available, development takes effort but happens steadily. Once its done, thats it, and the games pace comes to a screeching halt. We cant say enough positive things about the gameplay; its design is just about perfect. We really dont get why no other developers have tried to emulate it, but they havent. Navy Field is the only game that actually has both real time and strategy in this genre. Other WWII naval games are, at best, either frantic action resembling a first person shooter or stat management farming clones with no direct control of battle at all. Only Navy Field manages to convey the look & feel of commanding a vessel while maintaining a tactical perspective throughout. If only the pace of asset acquisition & development could improve, this game would be pretty much flawless. Unfortunately, as it is, too many huge fans like ourselves reach a point where the frustration outweighs the enjoyment. Many of us are willing to pay, watch ads, whatever- we know developers deserve money. But if neither money nor time allow us to upgrade more rapidly than every few months, we cant help giving up. In closing, we highly encourage new players to get this. The issue we mentioned only applies after all the single player content is exhausted, and youll get a great many hours of enjoyment before reaching that point. If you want genuine real time strategy in a WWII naval setting, theres no better game than this. We sincerely hope that some day, progression is refined so that its realistically possible to maintain/regain veteran players enthusiasm as well.

We love this game. It very nostalgic feeling to classic navyfield. This is the best game ever we play. We really love the gameplay and soundtrack and amazing 2d gameplay. Man so nostalgic.

Submitted a question regarding aaw mode being disabled on all US BBs via email over 24 hours ago and still no response oe acknowledgement. Really.

Ive been playing this game for about 7 months now and we were about to get what we always wanted a cv but then the latest update came out and it just killed the game we have a bb and a ss thats useless to us that we worked so hard for Im thinking about uninstalling the game but idk if we can decide if it was wasted time.

Since last update, half of our ships acquired have disappeared for use. We tried emailing- wouldnt go through- Ive tried uninstalling then reinstalling; and nothing works. Help.

Please fix the glitches we can't do anything involved with our carrier not even go and build another one it just crashes every time we can't tap info or build a carrier or upgrade it.

We are thrilled they went mobile with a long time favorite game with tons of new features and improvements 5 stars.

Ive been playing this game for several months now. We have found it to be very enjoyable and strategic. Its amazing how many people can be so good at this game. If we were to make a recommendation it would be, communication. Might we suggest that you have command chats in game for a few of the highest rated naval officers. Those commands can go to all the players of that one side. By limiting it to the higher rated admirals, it would not be a competitive on-slot of chatting during gameplay.

Hmm trying to login tells us to update but its not available.

So far we are enjoying this game and want to play more of it, but we cant pass the tutorial because everything it tells us your dock is empty, buy a ship it doesnt show the guy when we go to buy it and we cant buy it. It just stays there and doesnt change. It doesnt progress forward or anything. Its not our WiFi. Its not our connection. Its not having to do with Game Center or the app its self cause we deleted and disconnected both and tried literally everything. We cant even restart or Delete that nation to try again. Please help :( we want to play but it wont let us continue further.

We love the game, lots of fun with a variety of strategies. However we would suggest looking into your update process. We have this game on our iPad and iPhone, and when ever a update comes out the game directs us to the App Store to download the update, however the App Store does not show any update options available. Ive had to wait up to a week before for the update to appear in the App Store. This has happened several times on both devices so Im pretty sure its not our error.

We cant even run the game it says update to version 318 it was good to play only for 2 hours of game play when it comes up again then we would rewrite ny reveiw!!! Updated review Game is great to play just need to downgrade upgrade time or be able to give up more stars.

The game is easy to play yet has a surprising amount of depth to it. The singleplayer missions are quick yet challenging, and there are various forms of multiplayer combat. We were quickly able to earn enough of the in game premium currency to unlock every nation in the game (the game has 5 nations, the USA, Germany, USSR, the UK, and Japan. You get to choose one for free at the start, and each new nation costs 500 gold each). We did have a scare where we lost all of our progress with our unlinked account, but the technical support was able to not only get back to us within minutes, but was able to restore all of our progress, despite our account not being linked to Game Center or Facebook. We strongly recommend you give this game a try if you enjoy WWII naval games.

Asking for an update to open…we just downloaded and installed it…won't run and crashes, then asks for update to run.

Never played. Constant updating, extracting, and status bars… We got bored before the game ever opened.

Veteran of the Pc game 10+ year commitment this is fun and nostalgic. Already addicted.

We played the original Navy Field PC version years ago, and instantly fell in love. Now this game is a decent rendition, however, they have super simplified customization and game play. We play WOT Blitz, and literally it is becoming almost an exact copy of the PC original. We don't understand why Navy Field didn't just do that. You guys fixed the PvE issues, but now our only complaint is that the customization of ships is still super simplified compared to the PC version. It's a great game, but we just wise you had more options and whatnot with outfitting your vessel. Keep updating and maybe try to integrate a more complex customization system like the PC original.

Can you make a setting to turn off the tutorial.

We got into this thinking we would be deleting it within the day, just bored & looking for something to do. When we started this game up being a big fan of WWII history we were immediately hooked. The game is very simple and the controls take very little time to learn. Each Nation has its own advantages & disadvantages & within those Nations those ships have unique advantages & disadvantages. One thing we also like is the fact that you can spend no money on the game and still have a level playing field when playing with others online, each class of ship has something it can excel at. So if you want to spend hundreds of dollars on the game you can, to buy awesome carriers or battleships. You can spend no money & take your time to build your resources & buy them BUT depending on your skill level, sailor level, and ship upgrades you can still be sunk by lowly destroyer or cruiser torpedoes for example. It is simply just an amazing game.

We're giving three stars because this game has the potential for greatness. Unfortunately there appear to be some bugs and issues with crashing. Nothing is worse than being in an intense battle and having the app crash on you. If the developer addresses these issues properly we would be more than happy to change this review to a five star ranking.

3 days ago we lost all access to our account. Paid $20 for the starter pack and got locked out halfway into it. Tried contacting support and have gotten no response. Half thought out game with MANY bugs, requiring pay for play if you ever truly wanna have any fun at it.

After update game kicks us out on iPhone.

Fun game just like the PC version only problem we really have is having to pay for more than nation and being signed out during battles almost every time fix at least the bug then we'll 5 star it.

It's a game you play a little at a time. Great so far.

So funny that it would be a major imediment for our successful completion of doctoral degree.

Excellent rendition of the original.

To preface we were a huge fan of the original Navy Field on the PC. This app is a really good call to that. Unfortunately add in some of the micro transactions and timer-based base building and take away some of the awesome customization options in the PC version. Controls are a really nice adaptation from a keyboard and mouse to a mobile platform. We are really excited to see what you all can add in.

This game brings back wonderful memories of a game on PC from years ago about ship to ship fighting with the greatest super powers of WW2.
