Let us start out by saying that this is a game for the long haul, and needs to be played every day, multiple times throughout the day. There are lots of negative 1-2 star reviews complaining about not being able to field a competitive team due to the persistence it takes to build a team and progress through the game. If you are not able to regularly play this game, then it is not for you. The systematic format of the game is quite simple. The object is to perform as a general manager and construct a roster of players, coaches, and prospects, as well as build up facilities such as the ice rink, training facilities, board room, and scouting abilities. This is done through collecting cash or coins through playing games or winning challenges. The ability to collect coins depends on your facilities and sponsorship and coincides with your progression through the game. There are also lots of complaints about not being able to afford better players as you do not earn enough cash or coins. This is not the case as there is an aspect of what general mangers faces when deciding contracts. You cannot sign every start player, and have to prioritize your roster by developing prospects and signing smart deals. Overall this game is addicting and takes strategic planning that many people dont have the patience to complete. If you go into this game knowing you will be playing it for years multiple times per day, it will allow for a better experience. Or if all else fails you can just purchase coins with actual money.
We really enjoy this game, theres not many hockey sim games out right now but Id say this is our favorite. The only issue we really have with it is that it takes really long for us to load into the app and we constantly have server issues, Im not sure if this is just because of where Im located but Id like this issue to be fixed so we can use the app better.
We love playing this game, but we hate that we have to force close the app before we can go back on to play. If you get out of the app, and just try to click the app to start playing again it has issues connecting to the server. Fix that, and this game is awesome.
Fun game but 10 wins in a row should be worth at least 30 coins. There should be less time with upgrades. We guess theyre hoping that people pay for coins but who does that.
We think there are a lot of good things about this game but if there is one thing we dislike about mobile games is the time-based elements keep the progression of the game on the developers clock, not yours. We enjoyed periodically playing this game and training players. If you are a casual player thats fine with playing this a few times a week but not every day, you might eventually find your lineups with missing players because of contracts ending. It wouldnt be an issue if you were to extend contracts of players well before they expire but in order to do so, it costs coins. We would much rather pay for the game up front than be on the hook routinely to play the game to keep the progress we have made. Best of luck to current/future players and the developers.
The new update is awful. Constantly loading, doesnt acknowledge actions, constant crashes.
The server keeps timing out whenever we try to login. It hangs for 29 seconds and then lets us reconnect and fails again. Ive restarted our phone multiple times. Ive reinstalled the app. We are receiving message notifications, but we cannot login. Whats going on.
Fun game for hockey fans! We are a newer hockey fan and enjoying learning more about the management of a team.
So we love this game and will delete this after but no support contact is working on the game. Every time we start a game on the app it crashes and when we try to reload it, it crashes again. This is ever since the most recent update HELP.
Only complaint would be that there is no fighting –.
Definitely needs sound it is too quiet.
Our problem is you do so well for like ten games straight then, you lose like 6 IN A ROW win 1 then, LOSE another 6 IN A ROW.

This game is v solid. We have spent a few bucks and really enjoy playing and seeing how we stack up against other teams. We only wish that they would consider adding a couple thingssuch as a player comparison section within your own squad. A page where you can see your players full stats against another player (same position) within your team to help find the best possible lineups. We also wish there was a true trade feature where you can trade players that you bring up through the ranks and invested in. Its sad that if you invest in a great player your only options are to pay their quick increase in salary or release instead of potentially getting a fair trade on the player with another team.
Ive enjoyed playing but have had such a hard time with it loading and lagging. We usually have to play off Wifi and have it be the only app open to not have it lag for us. Its getting to the point where its frustrating because sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes just to get something done. You spend a lot of time looking at the spinny wheel of death.
If youre a hockey fan like us, you love this. We are a Detroit redwings fan. And all your other thing to have it you work together and win to get first place and win the Stanley Cup in this.
Ive been trying to login for the past three days and either just wont do it or brings us to login to Facebook with an error message Ive been a long time customer with you guys and have spent some money and we hope this gets fixed with maybe some compensation for the missed daily packs.
Its fun to develop a team, we wish there was more data about what each upgrade card does.
Its very fleshed but its not very good. It doesnt give us a good reason to come back. We love hockey we want a hockey game and a good one on mobile. NHL franchise mode tops this. You want to manage and play your own hockey team you would love franchises mode. If we had this option or franchise. Id pick NHL franchise over this. Not very good quality. It lacks alot. Its still a time killer. But it really lacks THE ADS ARE TOO AGGRESSIVE!! Oh your in the middle of a match? Here let us send you to the app store! You like puzzle games?? Really bad strategy games. We mean no shame its egregious! How is it even playable. And no control element is offered in matches honestly kind of stupid. Like give us at least an option to change strategy on forechecks, breakouts, and how aggressive we should go in periods. This game is so RNG based it basically ask you to pay for money, to get better. Going by the want get better?? Pay us and we can still not make that happen and RNG in management game? Two things that dont mix well. Not enough verity its terrible!! Absolutely terrible. Not enjoyable at all.
Its a fun game but sitting through each match is too time consuming if there was a way to fast forward through the game it would be more fun to play.
Hi there. Ive been playing this app for a while now. We really enjoy it. We just wish it would stop forcing us to close and reopen the app after every 3 or 4 matches. And now it wont let us play because it thinks Im in a league matchup. Please fix these issues.
Our account locked us out after spending money nothing will load now and they dont get back to you when you reachout.
A fun and immersive strategy based live ranking e-sport sim that plays much like EA sports GM mode. While several are available, more free options to continue playing before cooldown periods need to be cheaper examples; daily training, coin based scouting and maybe more ad watch upgrade opportunities.
We would love to be able to give this game 5 stars but the games take way too long with no way to skip them. We love the concept and being able to build your team but playing games is oppressive! Unless we get the ability to fast forward the games we fear we will not continue with this one.
There could be more coin challenges for more casual players! Coins seem to be more accessible through micropayments and that ruins the game. Watch an ad get 2 coins thats not much.if play the game we could get (based on wins) coins but then again what if we never win? Just add more coin or money based challenges to allow for better engagement for casual players longevity.
Our only issues are that the startup for the app is a bit slow and 15 coins for extra training when it only grant 5% more preparation is ridiculous. Other than that this is a fun hockey manager and fairly addicting. A warning to anyone whos never played a manager game before, this will feel like a second job at times but youll get used to it.

Anytime this app updates, it seems that it NEVER works. This wouldnt be a problem normally but there some events that require a streak and the failing to load and cause issues with meeting the streak. Additionally, the ads used to be non-intrusive, but now you required to watch ads for daily packs instead of just bonuses. Im done.
This is an awesome app, by far the best when comes to sports & hockey. Been playing from almost day one, but it happened again, app wont open and last time It did this we had to delete & re install so looks like Im going to lose everything again.
We just performed the latest update and now the game never even loads. We cannot do anything. Either allow us to go back to the last stable version, or repair the update, or fix this somehow very soon.
Great game but a little buggy (1st period shots dont match total in sim – player sorting doesnt always work). Forced ads that leave the game during simulation needs to go away.
We enjoy this game a lot, even spent a few $ on it, but the app is getting buggier and buggier as time goes on. We cant get through challenges without the app opening the advertisers on our App Store. Ill be watching the game then all of a sudden Im in our apps store for Getir or Dropbox. We have to go back to the WHM app to watch the game and sometimes it doesnt load correctly afterwards.
You build your team from the ground up and train and recruit new players plenty of choices to what direction you want to build your team. Its worth the time and the weekends you get a lot of free helpful stuff that turbo builds your team.
So we are now fine with the wait for the games but the matchmaking is a joke right now our team has a average of 31 stars and we are about to face a 42 average team like what. And also why cant we move up leagues we have 262 points and we cant move past amateur league and we need the money boost please fix this we have new found high hopes for this game dont make us lose them.
This game is pretty fun, building/managing a team and creating infrastructure of the arena, ETC. But after playing for over a year it crashed for about two weeks and when it finally loaded again we lost a lot of players due to contracts expiring and lost matches as well. We emailed the customer service team thinking that we all our progress was for nothing and Id just have to delete it and start over if we wanted to continue using it. To our surprise they reinstated all our lost players and gave us compensation for gameplay in coins and cash. Gary was fantastic in his concern and customer service support!! We wish this experience existed in the outside world, wed have a better place;). We 100% recommend this app.
We were in Bronze League II , we won 19/20 of our games , so we got promoted to Silver League II, we finished by winning 6/20 of our games . We were later surprised to find instead of being relegated to Bronze League we where we belong we got promoted to All Star League IV . Our team is currently 41 stars , our first matchup . Besides this issue the game is very good . Thank you for reading.

Game overall has been enjoyable, a lot of mechanics are pretty solid. Primary reason for this review is the game doesnt make it past the first loading screen after the new update. We have an iPhone 13 and am running on iOS16 so its definitely NOT our phone. Hoping the devs address this issue quickly.
We suggest this game because it is very fun and it is probably the most realistic hockey manager mobile game. You should download it because it is very fun. We definitely recommend.
We have to say we enjoy the game but find it frustrating at times. Working on improving our team, even spending money, then playing a game and being overly mismatched. Otherwise its a good game.
Game is useless. Great concept and mechanics. Fun for a few hours and then you cant play unless you buy crap from the shop. Two days later and our team energy wasnt even at 100% even though it says every 24 hours it refreshes. No point in playing this game honestly.
Ive played this game for more than 4 years. It is clearly a pay-to-win game, but it is interesting nonetheless. But, it is far and away the busiest app Ive ever used. Things simply dont work the way every other app does. It crashes constantly. It frequently wont connect to the games servers even when every other app on our phone works. Half of the times the updates lock us out of our team or simply dont work. Its designed a that players have to constantly log into the game to collect rewards, etc. To avoid losing ground. This is impossible when the app simply doesnt work for some users. Right now, the game wont load for us so we guess Im not playing this weekends tournament that is about to begin, because we will lose too much ground. Every day when we try to login, we know that theres a high probability that we simply wont be able to access our account because the game is fragile. After 4+ years we really thought that ie would work like a normal app by now.
The game does not load, gets to 96% and freezes. This has been since last update. Completely screw teams and finances so makes it pointless to try and play.
Have not been able to open the app since the last update. Starts to open and then closes before the main screen.
You can do a couple of things – play a game, so some training, etc, but then it will stop working. Whatever you tried to do doesnt happen. If you wait it out youll end up returning to where you were – nothing happened. You end up exiting the game and then come back later. When you do, the cycle repeats itself. Very frustrating. Please fix this issue.
Not sure why, but once we got the last update, we havent been able to open the game. It starts to load – gets to about 97% and then it just closes. Never had this issue before. Update – so its been at least two weeks now – still having the same issue. It gets to 97% and closes. Im sure by now Ive lost several players. Im not sure if it was the update from the game or the latest IOS update – but something isnt right. Itd be nice if it were fixed soon.
After update it makes our iPhone just think on the green intro screen and wont progress. Cant open app. Love the game till the new update. Dont know how else to tell you.
We loved this game, it started as a five star, but it seems like updates hurt rather than help the game. Recently Ive lost many of our best players because we cant renew them, since the screens load off to the side and are unreadable/unviewable. Its really shame because it was a great game that Ive been playing for almost 4 years now.
