This game is so relaxing to us. We usually play the game before retiring for the night. It helps to relax our mind of the days worries.
We love this game, however it keeps closing in the midst of playing, any solutions.
We do wish there was a one time purchase to get rid of ads. Otherwise, its a good crossword app. The questions are a little repetitive if youve done a lot of the puzzles.
We cant wait each day for the new puzzle! They are fun, challenging and educational as well!!! This puzzle app is addicting!! We try to do as many each day as allowed.
We have enjoyed this app for years now but recently its been popping up a website that looks like a phishing scam. Wants you to take a survey and provide personal information. It doesnt ask or give any kind of notification, just pops open the page suddenly, even if we are not currently touching the screen. We will be discontinuing use unless or until this is reported resolved.
For the last three days Ive been playing this and havent received any coins for finishing all three puzzles. Please correct this problem.
App stopped loading. We deleted and downloaded (several attempts). Still wont load.
Watching videos for coins is not working correctly. We dont get coins and most of the time its not available.
20 is to much to play a game and 5 is not enough to watch an ad.
A pop up is constantly shown that says, You are in control. You have disabled personalized ads. You can turn them back on from iPhone settings -> App Privacy with a HUGE button that says Great, take us there. There is no way to get out of it other than killing the application and relaunching. It is intrusive and annoying.
We have complained numerous times that we cannot download puzzles. We can play the daily but not the free puzzle nor any other to download. We are still having the problem.
The constant ads are a pain. We tried to start todays puzzle and we were taken to the store with no way to get out. Also. We feel some of the answers you put in are wrong. Infact. When we take a guess as to what you say is wrong, the puzzle says we finished it correctly. How do we notify you of wreors? ,.
New problem: home-brew keyboard isnt quite right. Also, sometimes no option to skip through ads longer than 5 sec.
Challenging puzzles. Too many ads that seem to lock up the app.
We have played this game for years, but in the last year or two the ads are just ridiculous. You get an ad between every daily puzzle and there no coins involved. Why isnt there at least an option to pay a one time fee to stop seeing ads? Im getting ready to delete app because its just too irritating.
For the last week the video for the kings match to get coins doesnt give rewards. And they count toward the max allowed videos. We were told that a third party handles these videos and that they are responsible. The crossword games themselves are good but we may stop this game and find another.
This puzzle game used to be fun and relaxing. We enjoyed the daily bonus puzzles. Now they have taken them away and now for bonus points, you have to play a timed trivia game. No longer a morning relaxing app. Please bring back the daily bonus puzzles.
We are disappointed. They used to be free plays if we missed some puzzles. Now we have to Pay to play the puzzles we miss. It is no fun anymore. We sent the above message some years ago. Obviously you never read it. Any way. We get tired of ads and obstacles as if they force us to play other games in which we have no interesest. This comment remains the same. We cannot play past crossword puzzles that we miss.
Twice Ive had long streaks going and game would not load all day long so our streak ended! Next time it happens we will remove game.
We have a good Internet connection but when we open the app it wont load. It says to contact customer support.

We have played Crosswords for Friends for years. The addition of the VIP subscription has completely changed this app. We used to enjoy doing several crosswords daily on this but am now limited to just a few puzzles a day because of the new VIP subscription. Very disappointed and will probably look for another crossword app now.
Not only am we not getting coins after watching ads but now when Im in the middle of typing a word into the puzzle it takes us to our web browser for a fake Amazon scam saying something about winning an iPad. This is not happening when clicking the add but simply typing a letter into the puzzle.
The last two days, a spam screen (we think its trying to fool someone into thinking its Amazon) keeps popping up during and after each puzzle. Its something about a survey and winning an iPad Pro. We have cleared our cache and cookies, turned our phone on and off and made sure both the app and our phone are updated. It is still happening. Our next step is to delete the app all together. We really dont want to though. We have been playing this since before it changed to Crosswords with Friends. FIX IT.
We love playing but too many ads and not giving coins when you watch the ad. Not right.
Constantly loading poorly (or not at all) or not crediting correctly. Even not showing finished puzzles. Despite doing puzzles daily it shows breaks requiring starting all over again. So irritating. We must have written this ages ago. Unfortunately, this keeps happening. Plus frequency of ads seems to have at least tripled. No way that we can find to contact anyone for help either. So annoying.
3 days ago the app had an issue and would load. The next day our streak was gone. Not happy. No way to actually contact help except read comments. Not helpful.
This used to be a great crossword puzzle game but lately we have problems with the ads. Sometimes its 5 minutes trying to get an ad for 5 coins. And sometimes we dont get the coins when we watch the ad. Its also telling us we dont have Wi-Fi so we have to turn Wi-Fi off and turn it back on again. Im done.
We love the puzzles but hate having to earn coins. Puzzles are free to download but in reality they are not free at all because you have to spend your time earning the coins.
We used to be able to play the mini and midi puzzles every evening with no problem. Now it says we have to pay for a membership to play them. If this keeps up, we are going to delete the game from our phone and find another game.
Had a streak of more than 500 days and all of a sudden it resets to one every day. Quite annoying. Also never loads completely. We dont get all the quests loaded or the puzzles dont all load. How can we get all our days back.
Its really a pain to watch those ads got 45 plus seconds and not get coins. Also really annoying when you have to try several times for video ads to run.
We enjoy the puzzles, bonus games, and free points. We do not like when we purchase a large amount of coins to play a game is 20 coins, and to see wrong is 20 coins. See Wrong is automatically turned on, and 20 plus 10 of our points are gone. The buyer should have the option to turn see wrong on. Crossword is spending our coins when we dont want to. This feature desperately need to change, and these puzzles and challenges will be perfect.
Amazing how many folks have the skill to finish a puzzle in 1 second! These folks should work for NASA. How can we play against different players in tournament? We keep getting the same few people that within an hour of a new tournament have 500 points we have ZERO incentive to play nor will we watch any ads.
Under resourced with bandwidth. Unable to keep up with submissions- freezing, droppingout, locking up. A total easte of time and effort.
The original format was so much easier to use and nicer to look at. Also the streak doesnt work which is incredibly frustrating you only have two hours to complete the puzzle from when its released to keep your streak.
Even though our version of iOS is up to date, this app still crashes, now worse than it ever did. We could work with the crashing previously, but now it doesnt even open. Also, please make a confirmation for spending coins on seeing wrong letters and ten letters. Im tired of accidentally selecting that when Im trying.

Ads either not available or not giving coins a lot of the time. Dont know if developers are trying to force people to buy coins or what. We loved this game before that, but wont be forced to buy coins. There are other crossword puzzles that are equally good.
Your recent update of version 51.8.1332 a couple days ago make our older Apple devices useless to play this on. You open the app and it CRASHES every time. We restart our device then open and it still CRASHES. We uninstall the app and reload it and open it and it still CRASHES!!!!!!! Can no longer play it on our older devices. FIX IT!!!! Also: For those who wonder how we solved the puzzles in one second we used the 10 letter reveal at a cost of 10 in coin each time. We uses our finger to tap over and over really really fast. Lol. Impossible to do now because of the pause constantly asking over and over if we want to do it. Update : APPARENTLY YOU DONT LISTEN!!! Your update on September 5 still hasnt fixed the CRASH ISSUE!!! Our older iPod and iPhones iOS 12.5.7 still crash when opening your app. A lot of people here in the comments tell you the same thing but YOU DONT LISTEN DO YOU.
After the last update at the end of August, our notifications stop coming though. Is there a bug in the software.
Did an update recently and now we no longer get an alert when the new puzzle comes out every night. Seems trivial to most but as a sufferer of mom brain that helps remind us if Ive done the daily puzzle or not. We also keep seeing there is supposed to be daily trivia but Ive yet to ever see that. Otherwise, still love the app.
Is anyone else having a problem with the ad inset on the daily puzzle when using an iPad. An ad covers up the first left area of the puzzle. We have made several request to have this problem fixed and it will be ok for a couple of days and then the ad is there again. We have played this puzzle over 3,000 times and right now we have a streak of 144 days. We love playing this daily puzzle and hate to have to stop but our time is really bad trying to play with the ad inset the way it is.
We very much enjoy this game. They are not super difficult puzzles, and there are 3 free puzzles a day (sometimes more, if you know where to look), so it is a very playable game w/o having to spend real money. There are just a couple things it needs to be a five-star game. And the most recent update seems to have fixed one problem we had – that of turning off music/podcasts when the game loads. 1. The most frustrating thing is the way streaks work. We dont care all that much about them, except that there are rewards for furthering them. The next days daily puzzles are available at 10 pm eastern. We play when we go to bed, so we usually complete them before midnight. However the streak resets at midnight, not 10 pm, so if we instead complete the daily puzzle the next morning, it resets our streak. The streak reset and puzzle drop should be at the same time, whatever time that happens to be. This definitely removes a star. 2. No ad-free option. We would definitely pay a one-time fee in order not to watch an ad after each puzzle. 3. The Contact Us section doesnt actually have any way to contact Zynga – it only has FAQs. This is what brought it down to 3 stars.
We have been playing this game for a long time. We are unable to complete challenges because it goes back to a 2012 puzzle that is not able to be loaded for some reason. Now when we play the daily puzzle ,mini puzzle ,and midi puzzle, complete puzzle packs, and under 5 minute . Our points we get do not transfer to the weekly tournament totals. We cannot compete in the tournament any longer as not all our points do not transfer. Also we have completed all the puzzle packs and you are not offering new ones for us to do. What do you suggest.
The latest app update (around 1Sep23) for crosswords with friends ruined our game. Time it comes up, it automatically closes.
Since recent update it opens then crashes after a few seconds. Please fix have an older iPhone we play the game on.
Take the ads off of the puzzle itself covers the puzzles.
Why am we prevented from going back in time to a puzzle we missed unless we are forced to spend money to buy coins.
We love this game. We hate the ads. Why cant we purchase an ad free version.
