Community Insight:
We love this game a lot. Its a beautifully moving story. The music is very pretty as well.
Absolutely one of the best games Ive ever played.
We like the atmosphere this game portrays and the dynamic between the two characters is very charming you can really feel Johns strength in this time of crisis and his interactions with fei Len are so cute a very cool concept give it a try if youre interested in these types of stories.
This game is very underrated. It has a deep calm and slightly sad feeling to it that makes you feel at peace.
We mean so far since we pretty much just started its been super fun and the storyline seems pretty interesting if you ask us. We like the art style in the game and yes just with headphones makes it better so ofc we rated it 5 stars.
Have only had for a day and maybe have played for a few hours, but so far we really like it.
Idk why we believed that a post apocalypse game could be heartwarming. Its not. Or at least we dont feel it. Its a game where we sort of experience the pain of the characters but collecting all the beautiful memories of the past. Its definitely a well made game but man it makes us sad.
We really like this game. Hoping for this game to be an animated film.
This game is beautiful and everything a great game needs to be! The storyline is amazing and we love all the mechanics. Only reason it is not 5 stars is because it cuts off right after a big scene and makes you pay for the rest of the game. We totally understand why, but it is mildly annoying.
Every series of this game is just instructed to have some sad ending and we dont like that.
There is so much unskippable talking and general text to get through between gameplay, and it takes longer than the gameplay itself. We get that the devs created a story and everything but we just want to play the game.
This game is good. But you have to wait 4 minutes just because of an offer (for things for money). You can't even skip it! Also you have to pay money for the full game. We think that you should just let people play the game peacefully without forcing them to pay for full experience.
The graphics arent gorgeous but the storage needed isnt 2gb, lots of dialogue but the idea of the story of great. Generally a nice idea with poor execution ( we only played the free part of the game which ends right after you assemble rocket 13 ).
It says app isnt active, please get this fixed we spent a lot of money on this game.
This used to remind us of some other game on pc! Pretty cool story were having! Dark, tragic and unique to look around! Theres probably secrets around to collect but very easy! It might get hard but Ill enjoy abit of difficulty! Plus we absolutely LOVE the art style and music! Its very touching to us! One of our favorites to play.
Ive decided to replay the game 2 years later and its still as great as we remembered it. Its probably never gonna be implemented since the game is really old now but would of been nice if there was a mode to explore the map with no time limit after beating the game. Really looking forward to playing Opus: Echo of Starsong after this review.
We used to play this game years ago when we were broke now we have some money to unlock more of the game. Still just as nice and maybe even better from what we remembered. Its a very lovely game but we wish there was a button to skip all of the dialogue in one go instead of repeatedly tapping on the screen.
We played the previous game of OPUS:The Day We Found Earth and we were not disappointed playing this game. There is a lot of content exploring the quiet humble winter wasteland of a post-plague world where there are space burials. We simply wish we could put this review in words but we can only simply describe it as pleasantly peaceful.
Loving everything about this game so far. The ambiance it creates is wonderful. However, one thing that we would like to see is controller support. We play a lot of games on our phone with a controller and if this game was eventually supported it would make for a better experience switching between games.
We've played this game years ago and looking back we would've regretted not playing this game. This game was the first game that made us cry sincerely in our life. We were in a dark place during when we played this; we were heavily depressed and we stored up our emotions inside. Everyday it just compiles more and more; hate, sadness, fear, and disgust it was all in there. However, when we discovered this game and first played it, it was like it broke the jar that trapped our emotions and we just let everything out. That moment was the beginning of our journey for recovery. It sounds cheesy but we would've committed suicide if it wasn't for this game. We all can say now is, Thank you.
Entirely in love with the art style and the simplicity of the gaming experience. The storyline and narrative participation experience really enhances the game. Recommend for some quiet simple storyline driven gaming.
The artistic inspiration of this game is magnificent, we love it to our core and cant wait for so much more. We hope they restock their online store soon, we plan to clean it out.
The game is so good it has good quality and it is a story game which are our fav types of games and it is rlly calming for us.
When they say you wont regret buying the full version, they aint playing around. When we started the game our mind was blown from all the work that was put into this game. If you like game with some side missions this game is for you. If one of the creators are reading this, perfect job and we hope you will make more like this.
Beautiful artwork, mysterious pasts, adventures, music… What more could anyone want? We love this game so much! It wonderfully displays emotions and always leaves you wanting more information about the character, which makes you play more! Best game ever, and we hope they make more versions! To the creators: Thank you so much for making this beautiful game, and we hope you enjoyed making it as much as we enjoy playing it. You did a great job.
This game is amazing to play In our freetime, and the stories and challenges are outstanding. The art and backstory is unexplainable and we cant wait to see this rise up.
We think this is by far one of the best games ive played. From the music to the art to the storyline everything just connected so well and it was so heartwarming! We cant believe that you all made such an amazing game that could touch hearts! Thank you so much :) we also LOVE the music ahhhhh.
This game is so amazing. Its one of the most beat games we have ever played IN MY LIFE!!! The games music makes us relax and comfy which is what we LOVE. The game consists of you playing as a man named John helping a witch named Fei to send spirits to the stars by doing a space burial. You go on quest to find the rocket pieces and explore abandoned places that make you face challenges. Your goal is to launch a rocket up the stars to get the voices out of your head and live in peace. Your friend Fei is whom someone you may not get along with so well in the beginning but your relationship builds as you continue in the story. This game supersizes us everyday! When it ended we were determined to write a story of our own that is just as genius as this one. We hope you enjoy the game and have a food day.
We played this game maybe a month or two ago and we absolutely loved it. Its worth every penny we paid. And we highly suggest that anyone trying to decide whether to get this game or not, definitely should. It has a great storyline, and the gameplay is challenging but fun. Also, to whoever may be reading this: we hope you are having a great day! :).
We love this game. Im replaying it after first playing it 2 years ago.
This game is a masterpiece. From the beginning, to the end. Everything, the story characters, art, its all beautifully designed. Right now its July 2020, and we are in quarantine. Ive been playing a lot of games recently, and this is 110% the best one. If you reading this developers, we hope your safe at home. And thank you for making this so that us, and many other could experience this wonderful journey.
It has a very interesting storyline, and has lovely soundtrack, but is a bit difficult to play. We mean, the control thing where you move the character is a little cumbersome to manage. May just need some practice to figure it out.
Graphics and art were amazing, story was 8/10, but the gameplay itself is mind numbingly boring. The game is pretty short, and 90% of the game is walking at an excruciatingly slow pace. There arent any proper maps to follow either so you have to remember where everything is for the most part.
This game is so ridiculously boring! The majority of the game is tapping through a storyline that isnt that well written or compelling. There are no puzzles and no intrigue.
Whats that for a crap? Bird view on 3 person icons which can be moved around without goal, sense, instructions or meaning. Have you programmers lost your mind. That game deleted after 1 min of playing. Pac-Man 50 years ago was better than this … Waste of our download time.
A few days we believe after we got this it started to glitch our iPad and it was (at the moment) the last thing we down loaded.
This blew us away. Ok, Ive never written a review before, but this is an exception. Heartfelt/creative story, amazing soundtrack, and nice visuals. Maybe Im biased because we love emotional post-apocalyptic stories, but this story really hit differently. Its now our favorite iPhone game Ive ever played. And we still cant get over how much we love the combo of your story and your soundtrack. We first found the soundtrack on Spotify before playing the game, and we really liked it, but after seeing the story and seeing how used the soundtrack in the game, we just got chills. (Especially with that scene where We Are Here was played. Wow.) Thank you so much for making a beautiful game! Looking forward to your next ones! We will definitely buy it.
Great game Reminds us Makoto Shinkai.
Subtle and pleasant in many ways. Although transitions could be smoother, very well rounded story / game.
This game is soo awesome and since Im being self quarantined we need to stay home! Its a good game to play while you have nothing good to do.
Its really good! We love the music and the little artistic touch it has.
Sorry we accidentally deleted our review, lemme write it again. We just wanna say that we love this game and the characters! The whole sad & emotional story is well-written and Im so grateful to find this game while scrolling through hundreds of games that doesnt seem that interesting to us. The ending was beautiful and we like the whole apocalyptic setting & mood in the game which was really sad to experience yet great & emotional story! A must-have game!! This is one of the few games Ill write a review about :) Would love to play the sequel of this if released! Thanks for reading and take care <3.
We have never written a review. And this game deserved. We played it over a year ago and we fell in love. The deep story, the challenging searches. Idk why but we were emotionally attached to the story. Well done.
It is just awesome! We love the graphics and the gameplay, also the music makes you feel calm. Please keep making these kind of games. Thanks so much.
This game is really brilliantly done. Ive been recommending it to friends already.
We want to say that this was the game of our life… If we didnt have to pay. We dont have money and our parents are pretty much thinking games are bad. This game was a real top. The first 10 minutes were great. After that the pay window comes up, Im dead. But a real good one anyway.
The game itself is a pretty good idea, its an interesting concept, and most definitely peeked our interest. However, its brought down by a pretty big problem: John. John was a tolerable character when he was a small child, but he was still extremely bratty and assholistic, and altogether a nearly unbearably awful character. It was a struggle just to make it an hour into the game because John is terrible. Fei, on the other hand, is great.
To be honest we are not a huge gamer, but we LOVE THIS GAME. We love the way that the story is being told in a subtle way and both Fei and John went through their memories to face the new reality. We love the arts and we are glad it is not too hard for a person doesnt play games as often to collect every items needed. We love how it ended with the incomplete feeling but yet it is completed. Please keep up the great work.
We would say that Opus is more than a game, its an experience, a story. Thank you for making this beautiful heartwarming adventure. The amount of feeling conveyed by your graphics and music is beyond imagining, and the characters are so love-able. We thoroughly enjoyed this game. The only critique we would have is that we want more, which is more of a testament to the quality of this app. We just finished playing and we can say that we were crying at the ending. A touching emotional story. Loved it.
We absolutely loved this game but why on Heavenly Earth do you have to pay money to finish the story! Im sorry but we think that is kind of stupid. We would really love to finish the story without having to pay for it.
