What Makes Chess Timer Stand Out
Chess Timer is a simple dual timer for over-the-board chess and other two player games.
Place you phone flat on the table beside the chess board. Only one clock runs at a time. Tapping the clock face stops one clock and starts the other players clock.
Can be used with other competitive two-player board game such as Scrabble, shogi or go.
Pro Features:
Extra time can be added every turn in one of three ways: Fischer, Bronstein, or a simple delay.
Fischer:
Time is added to the clock at the end of each turn.
Bronstein:
Time is added to the clock at the end of each turn, but never more than the turn time. E.g. if the increment is 10 seconds, but the player only takes only 6 seconds on their turn, then 6 seconds is added to the clock.
Simple delay:
A simple delay before the clock starts each turn.
Overtime:
An overtime limit can be allowed for each player and penalty points are given for the amount of overtime used. This can be used, for example, as a Scrabble clock.

Community Insight:
Timer runs faster than a standard second more often than not, usually after completing one timer cycle and trying to start another. It is not fixable without completely shutting down the app and reopening. We bought your premium to unlock further options that also do not work as advertised. We cannot make any changes to the values on your premium timers. Also none of input menus other than you feedback block have contrasting colors making it impossible to see if any changes are being made as far as times or typing input.
This app was great. It had a very simple interface, not a ton of features, but then again, we didnt need any extra features. Its one flaw was that its design was mediocre. Now, thats ALL changed. It looks SO much better, and overall blends in with iOS more. Thanks for the update.
We were able to put the phone down to elaborate an applicable issue we only renewed by reading twice. After we highlighted mistakes in two different texts, the timer only acted more like a radar to what we only knew. But that was only after submitting to an equal-time ratio to the case at hand. Great for board games. Necessity for disputes.
The description says it will work for Scrabble. For Scrabble the clock needs to continue running after the allotted time has elapsed. Play is allowed to continue but a penalty is assessed based on the amount of extra time used.
We got this for us and our dad and the first couple of days it was working but then when we started it it timed out in the first minute and it was really annoying !!! So we deleted it.
Everything about this app is great except it doesnt keep the screen on which makes it kinda unusable. So we have to go into iPhone settings and click never sleep screen then go back into settings after Im done playing.
