What Makes Kanji Drop Stand Out

It's a great way to learn kanji for beginners, a fun alternative to flashcards for advanced learners as you can import your Anki, WaniKani, and Koohii decks, and a fun game overall! :D
Learn all Japanese jouyou kanji for fun or proficiency. Every time you make a word or kanji, its meaning is spoken and you also hear the pronunciation of words. You also learn how to make kanji from their parts, just like in Remembering the Kanji, Vol. 1, by James Heisig. You can restrict learning to JLPT 1-5 kanji or textbook lessons from popular Japanese textbooks!
Open to all skill levels! It starts off easy and gives you hints when you're stuck. Keep playing and you'll find yourself recognizing more and more kanji! You can select Easy/Learning mode to have more time to read about the kanji and words you make!

Its surprisingly useful. Ill let you know in advance that you will be utterly confused as soon as you start playing, especially if you dont know kanji. We know that since we dont know kanji at all. It does work surprisingly well though. You slowly learn the different kanji and what they mean. Its also decently entertaining. Even if youre not trying to learn, its the sort of game that you might just end up playing casually if youre bored and want to be productive. Overall, its a pretty good game. Its relatively fun and a good way to learn kanji if you dont feel like memorizing everything.

Im actually finding the game really fun. We like learning random kanji and the fact we can guess words based off the context of the said kanji. We just wish we were actually able to use the settings though. We dont want any romaji, but even with it selected off, we still see romaji. There seems to be some options locked under while mid game, but the issue is that the options never open up say if a game ends. We have no complaints about this game other than the fact we cant customize how we see things.
Hey we love this app but Im a little worried about the security. A lot of Arabic has been showing up in it and Im not sure why things are in Arabic. We think the language settings are swapped or something because ours is set to English. If you want screenshots we think we can give that to you. Ive tried to change it in the settings but we still see nothing except English and hiragana katakana romaji. Hope we can contact you and wonder if you guys could do something about this. Sorry if this is actually a feature.
We only played one round. We havent even decided if we like it or not, and it wont let us go any further.

It crashes all the time on our iPad 4. Please fix this.
Thats all we can say. We open it up, then it freezes on the 6 page tutorial screen that you cant even disable or it just crashes. Thats it. Thats our entire experience. No idea what the gameplay is like or the education value because it doesnt work.
This app is great. For someone who is learning Japanese this is a great resource for us! It is so simple, but you can learn so much! The features are amazing! We especially like the story they give for each kanji/radical and all of the settings allow you to play at any level of difficulty, you can exclude words youve already learned, you can see only common words, you can pause the game anytime and look at the words you just created, which is what we do, and it really helps with the conceptual ideas of the kanji/radicals beyond just memorizing them. It even shows you how to write the kanji. There is like one ad every so many times you click the little dictionary and its fairly short too. The fonts are cool, they remind us of an old arcade game. There are even little images behind the kanji to help you remember them! At first we thought this game would be cheap from the picture (which is our only recommendation, get a new app photo for the store so it looks more appealing, if this game dies out we will be so sad!) but this game is so in depth and helpful and clearly someone put a lot of thought into making it. Thank you so much! Keep it up! Make more things like this.
In this game, you get to make combinations of kanji characters to form various japanese nouns/verbs/adjectives, which you can study and favorite by pressing the star on its upper right. You can combine kanji radicals and make characters change their meaning to create new words, its wonderful. As a new character/radical begins to fall down, a cute bubble sound shows up and the meaning of the word is read aloud. No other app ive seen for kanji is quite as addictive as this fun, simplistic looking yet surprisingly challenging Tetris-style game. We cant wait for a sequel to this, like a gradius or Star Soldier type game with spaceship/rocket that must shoot down the correct kanji character/word to succeed.
Im just glad an app like this exists. You have done a great job here. Keep it up.
