Read between the lines is a game where you have to solve puzzles (Dingbats, Dangbits, Mr&Mrs and Anagram puzzles).

Dingbats :

One puzzle, one phrase : try to identity the meaning hidden behind each drawing.

Play Read between the lines and train your brain by solving the puzzles. And if you have some difficulties, you can ask for clues or help from your friends to solve those wacky wordies.

Have fun recognizing or learning new idioms through the levels of the game.

Dangbits :

How do AIs see the world?

One picture, one idiom: can you guess the meaning hidden behind each image generated by an AI?

Exercise your brain by recognising or discovering many expressions.

Mr & Mrs :

Mr & Mrs have children. Can you guess the name of their offspring ?

Try to find the right first names and create funny full names.

AnaQuiz :

Rearrange the letters of the anagrams to create another word or phrase.

Community Insight:

Our biggest complaint is you cant solve part of the puzzle. You can know what some of the words are, but even if theyre in the right place, its not counted when you ask for a hint. So you can ask for either one or four random letters, only to have it reveal letters you already had in the right place. There is reveal a specific letter, but its double asking for one random, and half of getting 4, so we dont know if the app was just developed in a different country, but even as an educated person Ive never heard of half of the sayings/phrases. Like All cats are gray at night or Too clever by half. Some are common adages, just using different words (eg One brick short of a full load), but there are too many different possibilities. Some, after we solve it, we can see what they were going for, but when its a completely foreign expression, the depiction has to be spot on to have a chance. We often end of solving it and still thinking, What?? Did they make that up? The basic game is fun, but it needs some fine tuning.

Once youve solved a puzzle, you can swipe left to the next one, but you can also swipe if you havent solved it. Its very easy to accidentally swipe while youre typing in the answer. On a puzzle with a long answer to type, youre pretty much guaranteed to accidentally swipe. And when you come back to the puzzle you were in the middle of solving, everything you already typed is gone. Ive only done maybe 12 puzzles, and swiped left accidentally so many times, it got frustrating very quickly.

Love this game. 5 star game that makes you think. We only have one problem. We cant reach anyone to get a problem fixed.

Why a ad after every answer so annoying.

This is really a fun game. Too bad there are errors in the game, spelling errors and in the letters given to successfully solve all of the puzzles, that will keep us from being able to solve some of them. Such as we need an E and all that Im left with is a D, of course, it wont let us write the correct solution with that. We play it in both French and English and we can see that there are issues with the French translation at time. That said, we are able to play it along with our family in France while in the US which makes this game rather unique and pretty awesome.

We love Dingbats so much, whenever we feel lonely or tired we play that game and it gives us energy to take on the world (jk having fun writing this, we never use this and when we do we watch the vids for clues ).

This is a great game, and one that makes you think outside the box. It is challenging and clever, while also fun.

This game is both challenging and captivating, we have been looking for a game like this for awhile and glad we found it.

Some of the puzzles are challenging, but fun. Others are way too hard. Also, we would like to be able to buy hints, but we dont know how much we have to spend.

Lots of the answers are not American but British. Ive learned a few things but we had to cheat to get the answers.

The puzzles are very tricky and we really enjoy them, but we wish they updated them more often. Ive reached a point where we have everything solved, and it can take weeks to months to get something new.

We accept the adds but not in CHINESE.

Do better to keep the politics out of it, if you care about peoples ratings.

This awesome game gets the mind thinking and gives some good laughs too.

We saw this game and immediately thought it was gonna be our kind of game cuz we LOVE word puzzles. But we were afraid it was going to be to easy and we were gonna get bored like other brain games but we have been very entertained. Theyre not SO hard that a spend hours on one puzzle but they make u think. And theyre easy enough that we can do a couple just to relax even if Im tired. Plus we like how u have 3 different kinds of word puzzles to choose from. One small thing tho. It would be better if we got more than one hint point thing per level. It takes us forever to be able to get enough to buy a clue. And the ad thing to get more hints never works even when we have full bars and good wifi. But all in all great game. To the developers.

4/19/22 Accepted update for app and now it does not open. Even deleted app and reinstalled. App still does not open. Very disappointed because this game was fun and challenging. Hope you can fix the glitch.

Love this game! Ive been doing these kinds of visual play-on-word puzzles for decades, and yet we still find these puzzles to be fresh, original, creative, and fun. Ive never seen most of these before (thats saying something), but theyre right on target. Its also nice to pick the game up for a minute and be able to put it down without losing any progress. And we love its relaxed, untimed play (a pleasant escape on a stressful day). The app runs seamlessly and glitch-free on both our iPad mini 4 and our iPhone 8. Thanks for a terrific puzzler that forces us to think outside the box.

We love it! Please add more, Ive finished everything! Going through Dingbat withdrawals.

Like other players we agree the puzzles are challenging and some tend to be more British in nature. What we dont like is that you have no way of knowing if a word in the puzzle is correct until the puzzle is complete. Random letter clues dont do enough to help us work through multi-word puzzle phrases. If this were to change Id enjoy the app more. Im almost ready to delete the app. To be challenged is good, being frustrated leads to unhappiness.

Great way to pass some time and keep the mind sharp.

This a great game, but it is lacking somewhat in that there is no sound. Sound makes the game much more pleasurable and some sort of sound when you win keeps your interest and encourages you to keep playing. We would bump up our rating to 4 or 5 with the right sounds included.

Love the game but purchased the No Ads and it still gives us ads. And we were charged for it.

Not going to play much more! Waaay to many ads.

Cant exit out of the ads (iPhone XR) since the X is untouchable.

This app contains a LOT of thinking. It gets harder and gives ME a headache, so you can try it but.. Im not a big fan, thats in our opinion at least. Try it out and see what you think, But youll need a lot of brain power. Thanks. -someone.

This app totally copied Dingbats, yet its still way worse. It just tried to be Dingbats, but it failed. Miserably. If anyone wants a real game like this but better, download Dingbats. We have both apps and there are many. MANY. Differences on quality, actual puzzles, and ads. The only thing we might like about this game is that there are not ads every two puzzles like Dingbats.

Pop up ads were hard to click it of. Forcing us to purchase/download another game.

These puzzles are addictive! Some are VERY difficult and some are a little skewed from how we Americans would SAY them, and we find them fun (mostly) and challenging.

We absolutely love this game. We play it all the time with our family and it has been so fun. We bought the physical game and play it with groups of people. We love this game.

Enjoyed it but have completed all the puzzles.

Much fun and really gets the gray matter stirring.

This game forced us to tap into our creative side and look and think from different angles to solve the puzzles. Our friend and we downloaded it at the same time and had a blast seeing who could figure the harder ones out first. It took us about 2 or 3 weeks to solve all of them. And that was the one big downside – there are a limited number of puzzles, especially when you enjoy doing a few at a time, and once you have worked through them there are no updates, additional levels or other sets of clues to download and continue with. Still waiting (and hoping) for an update but there havent been any so far.

Got a new phone and cannot transfer the game over. S have to start from level one again. That is frustrating, cause most games we were able to log in and continue where we were at.

It's like the gym, only for your brain, but better.

We really like this game but the ads never play so that we can get more coins for hints. Some puzzles stump us and hints would be nice.

Makes our brain work but love doing them.

This is great you have to think obliquely which is great. Almost all the puzzles are quite satisfying when solved.

Some of the phrases are more British than American. Which adds to the challenge. :-).

Almost as good as Kevins Proverbs! Wow.

Love a good challenge, would be a good jacktv game.

Great for those who enjoy word puzzles.
