Wiz Bridge + Card Game – Strategy Game Review
![]()
Wiz Bridge + Card Game is a Strategy/Education/Card game from Breva Bridge Card Game Ltd, first launched in 26th October 2018.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 222+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Wiz Bridge + Card Game Stand Out
Whether you’re a seasoned Grand Master, or a complete novice, WiZ Bridge + is the app for you. Read on ….
FOR THE BRIDGE MASTER
Becoming frustrated with partner, and their bidding, is a fundamental aspect of playing Bridge (some actually seem to enjoy this!)
This frustration is multiplied tenfold in computer Bridge, when ‘partner’ is an inanimate AI Robot, who will not take any notice of your frowns and shouts, and with whom you cannot discuss matters over a drink. WiZBridge+ eliminates all this frustration, by …eliminating ‘partner’!
Loosely based on the established teaching game Mini Bridge,(with many improvements and innovations) ALL BIDDING IS DEFUNCT! Each player (starting with dealer) announces their HCP count, and the player with the highest count, from the partnership with the highest total, becomes the declarer. At this point, his partner becomes ‘dummy’ and tables his hand for all to see. Declarer now decides on the Trump suit, and the number of tricks that he’ll make. As this is a computer game, you’ll be making the decision and playing the cards whenever your side becomes declarers.
Does that sound easy … It’s not! Because while you’re deciding on trumps, and playing the cards, Robot is doing exactly the same thing behind the scenes. The aim of the game is to beat Robot in a ‘head-to-head’ game of Duplicate. Robot is an internationally acclaimed AI, so you’ve got to be on your toes to get one over on him. Try it … you’ll be amazed how challenging and rewarding it is. Then there’s also the added ‘spice’ of playing Duplicate against other users (read all about it below)
FOR THE BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE PLAYER
You’re learning this game, and it’s soooooo frustrating, especially the bidding. Wouldn’t it be nice to ditch this frustration and concentrate on the fun part – the actual card play. With WiZBridge+, you can have hours of fun simply playing contracts, while at the same time learning from Robot the best line of play, and indeed in deciding what the contract should be. An invaluable tool for anyone who’s on the long and sometimes arduous road of improving, or merely starting to learn Bridge.
FOR THE ABSOLUTE NOVICE
Undoubtedly the most complex and daunting aspect of learning Bridge is the bidding. WiZBridge+ bypasses the bidding, and enables complete novices to practice, enjoy, and improve on their card play and hand analysis., within minutes of downloading the app.
And to help you learn, The app is packed with documents, Help files and Info buttons to guide and teach you along the way. You’ll soon be progressing through the 4 levels, each level introduces more Bridge related complexity and strategy.
DUPLICATE
While It’s great beating a Robot, it’s a different level of thrill entirely when you beat your peers. WiZBridge+ has 24/7 Duplicate competitions, where you’ll be competing with other players who’ve been given exactly the same hands, and who’ll also be trying to beat Robot on their own devices. Duplicate is available at the top two levels of WiZBridge+. Although there are no prizes, the real and meaningful prize is to watch your Statistics and averages improve over time.
STATISTICS & RANKS
We Bridge players love our statistics, and in WiZBridge+ they’re in abundance. There are statistics at every level, where you can monitor your progress. In Duplicate there is also a Ranking system, so you can see the relative ‘quality’ of opponents in your competition.
THE FREE APP, & THE BITS THAT COST
We do not want one penny, cent or kopek before you are fully satisfied that WiZBridge+ is the app for you. For this reason we give everyone hundreds of free hands to try out and evaluate the app (100 when you download, an additional 100 when you register, and 80 free hands at each level of Duplicate) Thereafter there are in-app purchases of hands, ranging from 75 hands for only US$0.99 to $49.99 for 10000 hands.
This Strategy game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:
This is the best app Ive found for Bridge.
Very enjoyable! Plays like duplicate. Fun game.
This is by far the best bridge app that we have ever played.
No bidding lock-up like Funbridge.
We think the drinking video is so inappropriate! You can be more creative! Drinking isnt funny when you get older. We are a bridge junky and enjoy everything else.
We love this app. We have not played bridge for a number of years, and this app provides a wonderful opportunity for review and play.
Like this app a lot. It is a great way to learn how to play hands.
Our wife purchased iBridgePlus as a shared Christmas gift. We cant understand why im running low on WizBridge hands. Thought it was free.
Its an excellent game to sharpen your bridge skills!! Our favorite bridge game.
We love the game of bridge. This app keeps us engaged and learning more every day. Ive had a bridge app on our phone for the last 10-years or so, and this by far the best.
This is fun and very helpful in learning how to play the game.
Excellent for playing hands but the robot is really good. One point for improvement: The remarks after the hand is over dont always match what happened. Example: we were told we did a great job making 4 No Trump when we had just played a standard 2 bid, or, you have to try harder when we just beat the robot. This really doesnt deter from the fact that we really like the app.
This is the best online bridge game Ive played. Im really learning to play better, we think.
Having now played Bridge for 68 years and in the past been nominated for ACBL Teacher of the year……. This program is truely remarkable! While somewhat disregarding bidding, It gives you very tough hands and forces you to fully evaluate all possible approaches to playing the hand before setting the contact. It also makes you evaluate odds based on oppositional point count, while preplanning play. In essence it forces you into using techniques often bypassed by average players. Initially these incites take minutes of evaluation that soon become part of quicker instinctive analysis. In summation this program can vastly improve the average players game.
We have now played all of the free games and was so impressed that we bought another 500 games. After playing all of them, we think this new format is wonderful. It makes you think in a way that should really improve your game. We rated it as high as we could because it is so much more. Better than other Apps we have used to improve our game.
Thanks to this app we can practice bridge all the time.
Love this app! Learn a lot and able to play opponents hand or replay own hand to learn.
Enjoyed playing and a lot from computer whiz.
So great to play when we are alone and at our own pace.
Even though this app looks elementary when you open it up for the first time…..dont be lulled into thinking these robots are easy to beat. These robots can put you to shame when your results just dont matchup with them. A challenging app to learn the play of the Bridge hand.
This app provides a fair and challenging approach to duplicate bridge. The statistics are accurate and helpful to assess the level of individual play.
There are some wiz bridge hands we would like to replay . The computer always beats us by 1 or 2 plays. We have tried to figure out how this is accomplished. Thanks J.D.Murrell.
We just played a hand where our partner( the computer ) blows the hand by not returning our signal in a no trump hand. However, when we ran the simulation after completing the hand rage computer makes the right and obvious play. Software has several bugs.
Why are no conventions used? Why don't singletons and voids not count.
On occasion your app locks up in a swirl and you have to abandon the hand.
As a bridge player, we wanted to know if this app is something we could recommend to our non-playing friends. We could. It's simpler and yet has a lot of the fun, and teaches skills very relevant to Bridge if people want to go on to that. However, as an experienced player, the lack of the ability to claim the rest of the tricks is tedious. And the 90 minute time limit for 8 hands in duplicate mode is frustrating. We want to play hands here and there on the train or in the coffee shop, not have to sit down for a dedicated session. If you are willing to try Bridge, Funbridge is a more polished and enjoyable experience.
Wiz bridge is very enjoyable But there is a glitch that causes the message You didnt follow suit. However the error message is incorrect. We then have to delete the app and reinstall it When it works properly which is most of the time we enjoy it.
Very neat practice tool for lame bridge players. Our version is buggy – locking up with an erroneous Follow suit message. We have to reboot our phone to reset the app.
No bidding, but fun and challenging to play the hand while trying to do better than robot. However, scoring is not according to regular bridge and very confusing.
The app is difficult to enter the bid. Then, the app scores as a loss for the declarer. Stupid.
Terrible do not buy the hands they are repetitive.
We absolutely do not understand the scoring on this game. Cannot find explanation. How can you make bid and lose.
There are other online bridge games that are more fare. It is too difficult to check the robots play.
Just a con to get you to buy more hands.
This looks at bridge differently and helps you learn to strategize and assess the trick taking ability of your hands.
We really like the opportunity to play bridge when we want without worrying about scheduling partners. Im learning the discipline of figuring out what others have rather than guessing. One weakness is coming to relyon seeing both hands before selecting the suit and contract level. Another is not getting explanations why the robot took the approach or plays it did when reviewing the play of the robot hand.
This app is sketchy. Ive had a lot of trouble with it. They mix us up with another person who doesnt play bridge very well, and our standing is low because of her. Ive beat the robot almost every time and when we look at the standings, Im ranked next to last. So play this game without looking at your position because they screw it up every time.
Fun practice . Seems to be good instructions and game play.
There does not seem to be any instructions on how the play and score work. As a player you may take as many tricks as the robot play but you still lose. In fact you will tie some, lose more and almost never win. We bought some games unfortunately but when they are done, we are out of here. Save yourself…leave this one alone.
Childish. A step way down from the original which we cant seem to be back to.
Many different hands to play for challenging fun.
Great game for a novice. Especially the features that allow reviewing the robot play. Only problem is with the documents, which are helpful, there is no way to PRINT. The APP does not allow access to iPhone print options although the documents indicate you can print. This needs to be fixed, then 5 stars.
Lots of good practice with play of the hand. We wish you could replay hands. That option would have given a five star rating.
Addicting app. Very helpful for practice and methods. Our only complaint is that many of the hands played would never happen as the opponents would have taken the bid.
We played bridge for five years and then stopped. We are returning after 8 years. Love the app that allows you to practice, offers helpful hints and review of your play. Staff answers questions quickly.
Great fun keep the changes coming we would like to see something that would help with bidding.
Excellent practice for games against real opponents. Somewhat puzzling robots which seem to be able to do much better than they do. Overall, though a great app.
Super fun and a great way to learn.
This is a great way to learn and practice the game of bridge. It allows for all levels of skill, designed for those want to become a better player.
Very helpful if you are trying to learn more about bridge.
