It’s rated 4+ and currently has 91+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Backgammon Machine Stand Out
The only free neural network trained backgammon AI on iOS! Backgammon Machine leverages the power of Apple's brand new CoreML machine learning technology to create a fast and challenging opponent at two different skill levels.
My dad complained that his backgammon app cheated at higher difficulties, and he was right! Backgammon Machine's dice are 100% fair (though it will feel like cheating sometimes when you're getting hammered)
Can you beat The Machine?

Player Experience Highlights
Community Insight:
Now lets include doubling to get the real BG experience.
Since we are getting better at playing this game. We like to play to 100 Human wins then delete the app and then re-upload it. That way the app has to relearn how we play at our higher skill level.
The app does what its supposed to. Simple. Basic. Although we do think it cheats because so far Im losing 15 to 85.
Have the same wash out issue mentioned but not at end of game. Would love a night mode! Please add that.
Seems like a decent if bare bones backgammon app, but the lack of a doubling cube or the ability to create matches is a serious downer. Add those and perhaps some bare bones graphics and the game would be much better.
Game blocks one die when playing in from bar. For example, roll is 21 and point 2 is blocked. Points 1 and 3 are empty. Checker on bar can only play to point 1 (die showing 2 is grayed out). However, after playing from the bar, the checker can be moved 2 to point 3. The game has a critical bug.
Hard to see and move pieces. Developer consider using the entire screen. Not just the middle third.
The screen randomly gets washed out at the end of a game. Stays that way for the entire next game or more unless you kill the app and restart. Pretty annoying. We like the simple UI without loads of clutter. Something fishy about the dice. Doesnt feel random at all, feels stacked against us.
The more wins a human racks up the better the machines dice get. There is no way it gets the rolls it does. If this is AI count us out were doomed.
We dont care what the author says. The only changes we noticed are that the computer gets EVERY roll of the dice that it needs. Once in a while is expected, but not 99% of the time. It is a cop out to change the computers luck, instead of making smarter moves.
Would not have believed it, if had not experienced it, but given up hope of finding a fair/honest backgammon game against a computer or AI. Backgammon Machine is almost worse than others with dice rolls. When Machine knocks Human checker off, almost CONSTANTLY get 5-6 dice rolls where neither dice number gets Human checker back on board. And there can be 3-4 available number slots. Of course during these circumstances, AI rolls dice rolls are amazingly good. Admittedly, no backgammon expert, but have enough brain to know dice roll probabilities, and a tilt occurs always when the AI needs.
Just another crappy backgammon game with rigged rolls so the computer wins 2/3 of the time or more. Graphics are washed-out at the end of each game. Not worth it. Definitely flush it down the toilet. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
It rolled 6 doubles in a row and hit us every time we had an open man. No thanks.
Such a cool idea. Even though Im a noob to backgammon the app works really well. Check it out.
This is a must have for any backgammon fan.
Its not real backgammon without the doubling cube.
