Community Insight:
Ive had maybe one issue where the game froze, but after that we havent had issues. We try not to use any hints because the 3rd note on each level is not found with hints. Ive only used to the hint a couple times but very easily explains if youre confused. Some of these puzzles are a bit of a mind f$&@ but we feel pretty smart when we figure it out! We like the calming music too. Really helps if you get frustrated easily or just simply enjoy peaceful music. Hope everyone enjoys this game as much as we did! Try the other ones.
Yes as others did, we experienced a few glitches. They did not however keep us from enjoying the game in its entirety. We did have to check the walkthrough a couple of times for solutions that just had our head scratching. We have liked all of the games by this developer, and will continue to follow them.
……………………………………hi.
Game is buggy. A few times we got stuck in rooms and couldnt advance back. Specifically the subway and the stairs of the subway. Many times a movement direction is not identified. So you can sometimes go left or right but there is nothing that gives this hint.
You guys are seriously making people pay for each game after a certain level? Thats ridiculous.
Was starting to like in the beginning, but aside from getting keys or specific items you collect, no hints as to how some things operate. Like elevator and the buttons you need to open, where is there any hint as to what sequence? Continually stops at one point – desert scene wouldnt go back, elevator door changes and cannot enter it. Needs more work.
As has been stated MANY times already, fast game, we were enjoying it, even w with the freezing. But about 2/3 if the way thorough chapter 2, it froze, and would not recover. We killed the game, and went back in to discover a key item we had found and put in place (elevator button for the desert scene) was now missing, and no longer where we originally found it, so the game is useless. 2 stars for a good looking and fun to play game. Looks and plays just like submachine btw (which is a good thing).
Ive played other games by snap break and the stories for them (excluding faraway games) are never really solid. We want to learn more about whats happening in each game but after it ends theres nothing else.
The tutorial controls are broken. Im tapping the objects the little white hand is pointing to. Some times it responds enough to let us combine the item but after we cant do anything with it. Ive restarted and reinstalled the app but we cant progress past the controls tutorial.
On our iPad 2018 we are unable to use our first inventory item, the crowbar. Nothing happens when we click the lid in the floor. We are unable to drag. What am we doing wrong.
On our iPhone navigation regularly freezes Finally gave up in chapter 3. Critical clues and keyboard character are indiscernible on a smartphone. Probably a great adventure, but poorly executed design and interface. In the 2nd chapter 2, we collected 15 items which appear to have no use at all in solving the puzzle.
Both chapters 2 and 3 crash immediately on Ipad IOS 10. Beware this very buggy game.
Im stuck on a section of level 2 that we cant get past but doesnt show you how in the tutorial!!! We want our money back.
Theres a part on chapter two that we cant get to but we need to get there to get a key to move forward in the game.
We were having fun until the frustration became too much and all fun was gone. The dual switches, only one stays down. Then we ended up in the cube room maze and couldnt get out to go look at the hologram cube. We consulted a walkthrough but when we went back to the game, of course we were back in the cube maze but now we cant move at all! We cant tap any open hole to go through. This really stinks. Delete. SO glad we didnt buy the whole thing.
Game wont respond when tapping… Stuck in chapter 3 and cant progress because of this glitch.
We have paid for and completed every Snapbreak game up to this point. We were ready to complete the series with this release and was ready to pay for the full game until we tried the first level. While the game is pretty and we appreciate the animation style visuals, the controls are horrible. Like another user stated, you are constantly moving to adjacent screens by accident while looking for places to tap on. The other big problem is poor use of the screen edge on the iPhone X. The inventory area is way too thin and close to the edge to the point where we must awkwardly bend our hand and finger to tap on it. Other times our hand mistakenly taps on items close to the edge if we hold our phone the wrong way. Granted, one could partially attribute this to the iPhone Xs interface itself, but a very simple fix would be to introduce a border around the entire game. Edge to edge is pretty to look at but for games they often cause interface problems. This game is not alone in that aspect. Snapbreak games require a lot of patience as you randomly tap around the screen looking for clues and actions. The interface in this particular release makes this aspect of these games impossibly frustrating. Will skip till there are fixes. We want to like this game.
This game jams up every five minutes. Spend some more time on making it work smoother.
The developers dont seem to test their games on iPhone X. The game freezes once a minute, the Rubiks cube is blank white on four of eight sides, and after you watch an ad to get a hint the hint isnt there! Their games are good but not finished.
Horrible controls and full of bugs. Hints are useless because they dont actually give clues on what to do or where to go. The walkthrough video is different than the game, so its useless also. Dont waste your time on this.
Love this game but we agree very buggy. The things we noticed in Chapter 1 that differs from the walkthrough is when you go through the first door and get the pick when you break down the wall to get the tire, the light is on. The connection is when you come out of the underground ours and go up the ladder to the ladder youve got the key card to get into the cave door when you walk in the door the rubicks cube is only half colored so all the buttons arent there for the ours so you cant get the light bulb and your journey stops there. Please fix look forward to revising our review and finishing the game. Phyllis.
Since posting this review yesterday, the game crashes just after loading. Don't waste any money on this game. We'll bet they reply with "Hi there. ..please email a screen shot". We've loved this game. We bought chapters 2 and 3 after the "we fixed the crash problem" update. Since then, It's crashed many times during chapter 2. If we wasn't so into the game we'd just delete it. We guess we'll just give it a bad review and keep trying to play.
This game is overall one of our favorite, we love the challenge, the story/idea, and the art style. This game is easy to find and is really interesting with a old-spooky-magic-machinery.
We looked for this game for a year! It is overall challenging and need critical thinking. We found this game online in third grade and we FINALLY found it.
Ive played this game since, well, forever and this is one of the BEST puzzle games Ive played in a while. We love it.
We could have beaten this game when we were 6 but for some reason the train lights wont turn on.
This game is one of our favorite apps! Us and one of our friends love this app and solved the first room. We play this game in class and it really makes you think. You should totally get this and even buy all the levels.
It reminds us of the submachine series- (Im guessing its not a coincidence), and we are a big fan of that series – this game does an excellent homage(?) to it and the only thing that bothered us in the end was that we wished there were a million more chapters to play. We absolutely pray the developers will consider making a lot more chapters as there doesnt seem to be anything else available in the app store that is of this genre. Thank you for making such a cool game.
Add more levels. We beat Lilit and got the key to the temple but we couldnt go in to the temple so Im just asking to make the temple a level so we can hopefully find our lost brother.
This is a game we grew up playing on cool math games for free but the only thing that we would change about the phone version is making the forest free.
Such an amazing game mystery and adventure . Everywhere you go its mysterious and fun . Us and our friends play this game so much.
This game is fun but it would be more fun if you took away the purchasing for the other levels.
We really love this game, it's challenging and fun. We love the eerie at atmosphere, and the calm music. We are confused about the second level, however. We picked up a key and it does not show up in our inventory. We don't want to restart, because then we'll lose all our progress, which is a lot. We're disappointed, because now we can't play it without restarting.
Our sister and we loved the first two games on Coolmath years ago, so naturally we bought the third one because we wanted to know how it ended. The first two games are great, but the third one was just ridiculously difficult. There are passcodes everywhere but we couldnt find where to get them from, so we just watched the Walkthrough and copied the codes from there. The ending was promising, but it just left us confused and with a ton more questions. We dont think the creators first language is English, so its possible something is simply lost in translation. Theres also the possibly of there being a fourth chapter sometime, but we cant find anything about that. Anyway we suggest playing the first two games and making peace with it. The third one has beautiful graphics but its just too difficult and not as fun.
We got all four secrets for chapter 3 but we couldnt get to the book at the end of it. Help.
So we had already purchased all 3 levels a while back and then got a new phone. We had logged on to Through Abandoned and our progress was gone. Also the restore purchases button was not working. We have been really wanting to play the 3rd part and have never been able to yet. So we dont know what to do.
The symbol for the ship puzzle is not working. We put in the correct puzzle and it is still counting it as wrong plz fix.
The secret books that should unlock after tapping all 4 glyphs in the chapter dont open. Ive tried restarting the level so we can tap them all in order, and even that does not help. At times everything in the inventory bunches up and sits on top of each other, which is annoying.
We loved it. We almost deleted it because we had to buy the next two parts and those are the most interesting parts!!we are not happy please help.
We did not finish the game but we looked at the pictures of part 3 it looks funer then part one and we think you should make the howl game free.
Love this game we always play it at school on cool math games and we got the app and we were supper exited to actually get to play all chapters but in the end of chapter one we thought it was going to unlock chapter 2 but we found out we have to pay for it.
Great puzzle game but the secret end of level extras dont freaking work so you do all that extra work to find all the symbols just to not get to read the end of level secrets we changed our mind we paid for the no ads and it tried to give us an ad at the ending and it made us restart all chapter 3 because it bugged out.
So we got the app and we played the first level and we absolutely loved it when we got to interact and stuff but the only part that we dont like is that you have to pay for the next two levels please change that.
Each level has four characters that must be found and tapped to grant access to a secret within the level. We found all four in all three levels but never got access to the secrets. Bummer.
We enjoy all of the other games this dev has put out. However, this one has some major glitches. We cant get pass the colored cube puzzle in Chapter 1 as it doesnt recognize the pattern is correct. We even watched the walkthrough several times to be sure the puzzle was correct. Ive gotten every light bulb except that one. We would be able to move on without that last symbol as we could easily guess it since we have the other 3 but the game is stuck. We paid money to get the level and it doesnt work now we want our measly free bucks back.
The game is fun and all, but why do we have to buy the other 2 areas? Unlocking them in order or being able to play them for free would be good, but needing to pay for them even after completing the first game? Thats just a disappointment. Yall, get a computer and play the actual games, dont play this. Its a quick cash grab thats annoying to play.
Title says all. Enough said. Clunky controls, hints make no sense, story is poorly written, and aesthetics are terrible. Whoever pitched the idea for this game should be fired.
This game is a blatant ripoff of the Submachine series in so many details. They should really develop their own style and ideas instead of copying others. In addition the interaction was very glitchy we had to stop playing.
As a fan of the Submachine series since we discovered it WAY back in 2010, this game could have been a very quaint homage to the wonderful, eerie atmosphere and universe Mateusz Skutnik spent decades of his life lovingly crafting on Flash websites. Might we add that all of the games in the Submachine series were free? You could buy the full collection, with remastered art and the music album, but the games themselves were free. Thus, this game becomes not an homage, but a cash-grab of an insult, grubbingly grabbing at iOS players money for a game idea, atmosphere, art style, play style, game play, music, scenery, and locations that they did NOT create. And you cant even argue this was your own idea, either. You literally used the Submachine font in the trailer. The font ALL of the games use for their intro text. Im not even getting into the whole screen-scroll style with climbing ladders, or assets like the stone dragons. (Which were literally ripped from the entry Ancient Adventure in the series.) Get a computer, go search up the Submachine games, and either buy them yourself or play them all for free. Youll not only get FAR more hours of entertainment from those, but if you decide to purchase them, youll be supporting a video-game developer and artist who is ACTUALLY making these games. Not some talentless hacks that think they can pull the wool over the eyes of mobile players, and pick their pockets while theyre at it.
We dont like that we have to pay for a game that we will beat in 30 minutes and never use agin.
