Holly Stonehouse followed the clues from her old family house to finally
arrive at the Dark Falls Asylum and again see that someone was there
before her, waiting for her. However this time she is no longer a
spectator and what follows her is no longer just a shadow – the danger
is real as the Asylum comes alive at night. Collecting clues, going
through notes and photographs, unlocking devious puzzles and
constructing complex chains of adventure actions, help Holly escape the
night and find the answers. Was her mother crazy or was there really
another sister? Did her mother commit suicide? How could Dahlia ""come
back"" after the fire and who or what is the terrifying thing that Holly
saw at Heather's house and that kept following her ever since?

We dont generally write reviews, but this game is exceptional. It draws you in and you just cant stop playing. We dont want to give away too much, but if you like mysteries, point and click with an exceptional storyline then this game is for you. It kept us very involved. We recommend playing these three games in order. Its much easier to follow the storyline. The hint system is one of the best that Ive seen. This game is absolutely worth the money.

For a while we thought this app game was abandoned and wow just wow what a surprise an update and a third part of this awesome game thanks developers for all your golden amazing job on this game.
Played a few times over while waiting for episode three to come out, which is also finally here. Yay. We also replayed number one a few times, but about five years back. Big fish stopped up updating the games, unfortunately.. Hopefully this developer will figure out how to resell it. We would definitely buy it again.

We almost didnt buy this game because we couldnt get its predecessor to open on our iPad. But Im sooo glad we gave it a shot anyway. Its been worth every penny and more. The level of detail thats gone into making this game is just astounding. If youre hesitating to buy it, GET IT! You wont regret it. In most games, youll find one or two objects in an area, solve a puzzle and that area will be done. Not this game. We loved how some actions have cascading effects so for instance, knocking over a bookcase to access a safe, then opens up a hidden drawer in that broken bookcase too. No pointless frustrating HOG scenes or match mini-games. A lot of games just focus on the puzzles and theres little to no storyline. Again, this game does it right. Theres bits of storytelling peppered through all the areas which makes finding a new location even more interesting. Thats not to say the puzzles arent ample and challenging too. At first we intentionally limited our gameplay to stretch out the experience longer but Ive come to find out we didnt need to do that. This is a LONG game. Ive been going for 5-6 days now with at least 2-3 hours each day. Ive heard the 3rd part of the game series is going to be out soon and Im going to grab that game as soon as it is. Goblinz set a high bar with this game and we just hope the next one is as good as this was.

We replay this game often, its so good! Bone chillingly creepy and mysterious. We wish there were more games just like this. We would pay four times the asking price for another game like this one. Cant wait for the third game in the series to hopefully be released soon.

This is a really fun horror game we played with our dad when we were little, we had so much fun we used to be scared of heather and dahlia but now they seem nostalgic to us! Thank you for bringing back our memories with our dad :D.
This game was not formatted well for our iphone15 plus screen. There was an object in the very beginning that was nearly fully hidden by the black oval where our front camera is, and then nearly every time we went to utilize an object at the bottom of the screen it would swipe out of the game. We got frustrated by this constantly happening and didnt continue very far. Please consider adding an option to all your games to change the position of the back button between the left and right sides of the screen for better wrist ergonomics.

There is no conclusion to the story, fun to play but a very disappointing ending, hate games that just leave you hanging, especially when you pay to play.
It was a fast moving game with little thoughts.
The puzzles were challenging and the game was nice and long. There were many different elements to the game and they all fit in perfectly together. The story line was also interesting and intriguing. This was by far one of the best games Ive played. It was well thought out and planned and put together. The only complaint we have is we flipped back and forth between Advanced and Expert. In expert, there are no hints at all. If we needed one, we had to switch back to Advanced. On the other hand, if we stayed in Advanced mode, then the game gave us too many hints and ruined our experience. We would prefer to stay in Advanced mode and click a hint button when we really needed it. Do not offer the hints unless the user asks.

This isnt your typical adventure/horror game – its got a complex and intriguing storyline, its very long (much longer than other standard games of this type) very satisfying! Great game, highly recommended, one of the most intriguing and engaging games Ive ever played from the app store. A must for adventure game lovers.
This is an amazing logic and escape themed game. It is also one of the longest games that we have ever played. We have been playing it for days. Pay attention to the journal, it includes hints that you definitely need. We have been playing on the easiest level – which we never do. There is the occasional glint, but it comes with a transportation map and an indicator showing which room has an action available. Hints are also available if needed. The transportation map is absolutely necessary as the game world is large. We rarely give out 5 stars but this game deserves 6.
It is the most bone chilling fun interesting game ever.
We love this game, you guys did a great job. Can you pleaseeeee continue the story. :( like how at the end the ghost girl says we don't hurt people we just show them stuff and now we're going to show you maybe the 3rd one could be of her still trying to find her way out but since the girl used one of the machines on her eyes all she can see walking around are all the souls trapped there, so more there is more helping other souls try to escape as well but clearly they still all try to scare the day lights out of us at first. Or// and You could have all that and at random points change the point of view over to the ghost girl and let us live her life as when she was in the asylum getting tested on and let us experience all the stuff the mother was claiming she was seeing.
We play many escape games and this is truly one of the best if not the best Ive played. Challenging and yet sensible. Hints if needed. Extensive game, great plot and graphics. Puzzles were not all the same style. Much could be said about this!!! Excellent and well worth it.
We didnt expect much when we played Part One of the series. But we ended up loving it, and the second part is even better!! Cant wait for the third installment! Definitely in our top 3 favorite games.

Unlike other games that converted from desktop to mobile, this game is definitely made for iPhone or mobile devices to begin with. We love the hints system here (the best) because its great for causal gamer like us who sometimes dont have the time to finish the game straight. We can pick up the game where we left off weeks or months ago and still dont get lost. We love the cut scenes and it feels like a movie. The puzzles are logical and we like that. This is not a 3D game but a 2D game that does it right and it meets beyond our expectations. We would love to see more games from this developer.
Very entertaining without having to spend a lot of money. If it does get a little too complicated theres always hints to help out!! The best game Ive played like this in a long time, hard to put down!! Thanks for the opportunity to play it.

LOVE this game, never ending puzzles and challenges. We quite like it a lot and so far is keeping us busy. Most games dont have this much content. We usually beat them super fast but this one is long! Awesome.

One of our favorite games ever, but can't finish it. We get kicked out every time we try to do the book puzzle in part three. We played for hours on expert, and a couple puzzles could not be accessed till we used the hint. The hint turned out to be something we had already pushed or touched 10 times before. We are very thorough and detail oriented, but found three glitches. We've even played a second time on casual with the dolls help on everything, just to ensure nothing was missed. Still kicked out on book puzzle. So close to end but no go. Still give it 5 stars for what we've enjoyed so far. Might try to reload, but hate to lose all our hard earned progress.

We play a ton of these types of games since Ive been home a lot in lockdown and this is by FAR one of the best ones Ive played. Its long, interesting, creepy, the puzzles are challenging. Theres a couple jump scares that actually startled us. 100% would recommend. However! We played this one first, then we played true fear 1 to see more of the story and its NOT as good. Its a different developer which we guess is why. It was ok and we did like the story but this one was much better. We hope its the same developer for part 3.
We really enjoyed this game! The graphics are pretty great. We like the story. Its challenging and creepy sometimes. Its also a good length for a purchase. We played on and off for a few days and Id say it was worth the $5. That being said, there is a loooot to remember with new objectives popping up before the previous ones are finished. The character keeps a notepad to reference, but we might even suggest keeping track of the surroundings on pen and paper as well. There were a few times we would find a key and forget where all the unopened locks were and end up having to search each room again to find it. And thats fine if taking the time isnt an issue, but we know that it can get annoying as the expanse of the map increases. We knew what we were looking for, but just forgot where lol and again that will happen when this isnt completed all in one sitting. Anyway we would definitely recommend this game and Im excited to play more.

This is such an amazing game! We love all things mystery-horror, and this hit the mark! The puzzles were spot on, the spook factor definitely made us jump a few times, the graphics felt like a true console game, and the story was compelling! The game took us about 7 hours to finish, which is AWESOME for an iPhone game. After finishing the game, we keep looking for others to compare to it, but we cant find any that stack up. Thanks SO much, and we cant wait for chapter 3 (and anything else you all make)! Thanks again!! Sad its over (for now).
