Community Insight:

We wish we could export games into SGF to download for analysis/review.

Enjoying playing as a beginner.

This is a good game and does not change the rules go battle. You would play the same way you play at home its a good game.

We love this game! We just learned of it in a movie and now we can learn and practice before playing our daughter on a board we just bought for our home.

Love the game! Will share with our friends. We would like to see it auto rotate to landscape.

The app seems fine, but to play a game you must wait > a minute while some remedial game advertisement attempts to sell you. Come on! Im playing Go, an ancient, intellectual strategy game, and we have to wait to watch something as inane as Candy Crunch or Royal Match?!?!? At least choose ads for games that require a brain.

Fun, works well. But a lot of ads.

Every new single time we open the app there's an ad. When we start a new game, there's an add. When we go back to the game, there's another ad. So frustrating.

Way too much time spent waiting on ads before you can use the app.

If we could pay for the game with no ads we would.

First thing they do is show you an ad.

Nonstop ads that you cant get past. Not usable at all.

Mandatory ads are unacceptable. Really every app that forces ads on you should be required to have a very large and clear label.

We haven't procured a victory yet. Not even against the baby. However, we're newly introduced to the game, and am currently working on vanquishing the genius infant whom has so far dominated us and our poignant attempts at victory. Curtains close please. :D (lol).

New to go and helpful to have AI.

We can finally do single player and 2 player go game.

Gets the job done. Play vs computer, 2 players on save device, or online.

It's fun and delivers well!!! Thanks a lot.

We love that we can watch games being played between people better than us. We love that we can play ourselves on games. This app is pretty much perfect. But we cant give five stars. The blinking ads at the bottom of the page are severely distracting. And go against the very aesthetic that go promises. To not give us an option to pay for an ad free version of this app in 2022 is incredible to us. Give us an option to give you $1.99 to never see an ad in this app again and we will give you five stars.

Nice to have 2 player. Don't care for the shifting board.

Excellent app but the computer players are poorly designed. The highest level computer is indistinguishable from the intermediate level, and it is capable of being beaten with some practice.

Its cool, we are just not understanding the game yet even with a few tutorials online it seems simple, but it is absolutely not.

Great Go app, particularly the ability to see your territory. However, this is offset by the bots being all male except for the low-level Pretty Girl. Queens Gambit, anyone.

Choose your opponent: varying levels of male opponents (master, genius, etc.) and one femalepretty girl (easy). Seriously?! Deleted and am installing one of the countless other options out there.

Game plays well. Pretty girl is the easy level and all the advanced ones are men.

Ads is annoying a lot. Meh. Nonwaynto remove it.

There is no way to get rid of the ads. We cant, we wont, play games with ads. Put an option on to pay, like, $1.99 to get rid of the ads. We are putting this app on the iCloud shelf. Ill check periodically to see if youve updated the app accordingly.

That depiction is incredibly demeaning. For that reason, this gets a single star.

We didnt play the game because we couldnt turn off the music. We kept tapping the settings button but it didnt work. Could possibly be our phone and not the app.

Ive learned a lot about go from astonishingly intelligent women. This apps easy difficulty setting is called pretty girl. Aside from the misogyny, the app is just kind of meh. Id recommend avoiding this trash and just downloading GoQuest instead. It has a weird aesthetic, but is far and away the best go app for Apple devices.

Gameplay is awkward with board edges off the screen. No hints come up when hint button pressed. We're not sure what Japanese rules are but we guess it means you lose no matter what. We're not interested in going to another site to figure out the game so a simple tutorial would be nice. And the avatars are childish and weird. We don't know how to play this at all and this was not the version to learn.

Even using only hints against easiest difficulty the CPU walks us into a loss through quite literally no fault of our own. Rigged.

Upon getting to the Difficulty settings, easy was represented by a picture of a young girl titled pretty girl. All the other options had male icons. Interesting choice, game devs. Thanks for insulting and discouraging an entire gender from playing your app. Uninstalled.

WOMEN ARE NOT DUMBER THAN MEN AND APPEARANCE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SKILL SET. We CANNOT BELIEVE THIS NEEDS SAID. STOP. ENFORCING. SEXIST. LYING. STEREOTYPES. The fact that pretty girl is even a level name? Especially DIRECTLY under gentleman? This is literal sexism and agism to add insult to injury. Im reporting this game to the app store. This is appalling. DO NOT GET.

Made it extremely difficult for beginners.

Never got to the game – it just kept playing ads. Either this is a complete scam or something is badly wrong. ANNOYING ANNOYING ADS. Christ, when will developers stop doing this. Just sell the game.

The skill level rankings for this app are unbelievably sexist. It labels the easy setting pretty girl. Seriously boys, whats up? This is not only totally unnecessary, but dangerous and damaging. Idiots.
