Crossword Rules:
A crossword consists of black and white shaded squares that form a square grid. The challenge of the puzzle is to fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrases by solving the clues that will lead you to the answers.

Good App. The crosswords hard enough to be challenging but easy enough to finish.

A fair number of puzzles available for free. Gotta watch ads to get to them, but our adblocker lets us bypass them. Puzzles are all roughly equivalent to the NYT Monday or Tuesday puzzle difficulty, though there are more repeated clues from puzzle to puzzle on this app than in the Times. No pencil mode. It doesn't skip letters you've already typed either. And the arrows to move between clues don't proceed onward from where you place the cursor by tapping. They jump the cursor to the next place on from where you last brought the cursor using the arrow keys. So don't bother with the arrows, they're more of a hassle than they're worth. Honestly even with all those little complaints, this is one of the best free crossword apps we've ever used. We would prefer good puzzles over all those other features, and even though they're too easy for us, they're fun little time-wasters. If we had to deal with the ads though, itd be a 2 star.
Sometimes its difficult to change directions from across to diagonal but the crossword is fun.

Makes up words or incorrect abbreviations sometimes to make things fit – no good! In this one for example electr.
Love the crossroads. Word them everyday. Keeps this brain working.
We like the puzzle except for the fact that the highlights move around in the middle of putting in a guess. We highlight down and it changes into across while we are putting in the word. Then we have to erase the errors. Sometimes it changes another entry.
When we PAY to see wrong letter we expect it to stay a function until we finish a puzzle. Thats not the case. If we dont finish a puzzle in one day, when we sign in the next we have to pay again.
We love crossword puzzles and we do enjoy this free version bectthe number of ads wasn't crazy. One thing we didn't love was having to leave the app open because it doesn't save your game progress if you are unable to complete in one sitting. Not a huge deal…However, this one really struggles with content. It is difficult to complete crosswords with misspelled words, missing letters, clues don't tell you if it is more than one word. At first we just thought it was a one off mistake. Kept trying and almost every daily puzzle has some sort of mistake. Unfortunately, we are giving up on this app.
This game is the best. For an avid crossword puzzler this app is the most like doing it in a real book that we have found.
Except for interruptions such as this one, we enjoy this crossword puzzle game. Its just the correct balance of difficulty.
We look forward every morning to doing our daily crossword puzzle. It is challenging but not so difficult that we cannot finish it.
These crossword puzzles keep our mind going and at our age thats a very important thing so we love them very much.
The only reason we dont give them 5 stars is that many clues are used again and again.

Nice game especially with a new puzzle daily.
Out of all the crossword games out there, this one falls short. The free games should at least come with a way to gain coins etc. So that you can see what youve gotten wrong. Theres very little feedback as you go, so its hard to know if youre on the right track. There are much better crosswords out there.
If you dont subscribe every time you put in a few words an ad pops up. Too Much. Im out.

We have enjoyed this app. We love crosswords. We wish there wasnt so many adds. You can pay to shut them off. We are short on cash since 2020 lol. We really have enjoyed the puzzles and the adds arent too bad. Give it a try.
Best and most fun crossword puzzle app. But oh our god everytime we close the app it deletes our progress. It infuriates us beyond belief.
Way too many interruptions with ads interrupting during games. No we dont want to pay to not have ads interrupt the middle of a game.
The setup is not nearly as convenient at the NYT puzzles we Loved in the spring and summer. And Not just some clues are obscure nearly all of them are designed to be difficult. As a former high school teacher, we know that too many difficult questions on a test frustrates EVERYBODY and would be considered a bad test. We do crosswords for relaxing entertainment not in an attempt to gain entrance into Harvard.
Shouldnt need to pay so much for better playing. Unreasonable. Shouldnt need to pay anything really, just not worth it. Do better.
We enjoy this crossword because we know it is helping our brain neurons, those little party animals, from dying. And its fun. Neurons must party or they will die, explained one of our professors when we were studying brain functions.
This app is great , the crosswords are fun and challenging and keep us engaged . Highly recommend.

Easy to use crossword app with a new daily crossword every day.
We do the crossword to stave off mental stress, it helps quiet our mind when getting ready for bed. Just enough focus and challenge to get rid of stray stuff, and we go to bed with a feeling of accomplishment. Some of the topics are esoteric and the hints can be pretty vague, but otherwise this is an enjoyable game.
We enjoy this app, but when you have to use your earnings to figure out where the mistake is, that is annoying.

We enjoy the puzzles in this game and the varied difficulty levels. We would like to play it free forever. We are not willing to pay $19.99 per year. Once our free plays end, we will be deleting the app.

For three days in a row, puzzles have misspelled words. Ive used coins to figure out what was wrong and Ive had to change letters that were side by side. The words were spelled correctly before using coins but we switched the letters to complete the puzzle. Beginning to rethink this app.
There have been a few puzzles that have had words misspelled, such as today clue was stew answer should be fret and crossword answer was scoff , however they spelled it scoff making tret the answer to stew.
The app used to work great, though occasional nonsensical abbreviations were annoying. Recently, though, Ive encountered misspellings like tshart instead of tshirt and plaint instead of pliant. We finish the puzzle and end up having to spend 150 coins to see what is wrong and then find the game is in error. Hard to want to keep playing.
Its not terrible but often Ill come back after a break and itll erase nearly an entirely filled in puzzle.
When you close app, the crossword doesnt save.
We like working these and they are a good mix of fairly easy and more difficult clues. However we dont understand why our puzzles have disappeared before we were able to complete them? And why cant we utilize our total points available instead just an allotment for a puzzle? Kind of annoyed by several things and of course the intrusive ads although Id expect that on the free version. We have had better crossword apps to be honest.
Ads between items or games are fine, you gotta make your coin. Interrupt us WHILE Im doing something? We can entertain ourselves elsewhere.
We have used numerous apps for crossword but this one is easy to navigate and it also is challenging enough that we cant just finish a puzzle immediately. We really enjoy it.
We love this app! Its not too challenging but not too easy. Very relaxing and we feel like its good for our brain.
