Am we playing vsrgs in 20years ago? These maps just spams jackhammers and brackets like BMS style, you really should improve charting skills.
The game itself is nice, the characters are cute and appealing, the music is good too. However the note sensitivity is the only major setback. Ive done a lot of tweaking but notes still dont register when we hit them on time, especially during fast maps or if youre used to playing with fast hit note speed.
Its really fun!! It takes a while to get used to but its fun when youre bored.
So this is like arcaea and if you are a fan we would recommend this. However the ads are annoying. Also just a bit like osu. As a person who hates concentrating this really helped us.
The game is pretty good with cute character designs and catchy songs.

We love the music in this game. We love how the music is instrumental. This game is really fun to play.
If you just want a vanilla vertical-scrolling rhythm game, this is a good choice for mobile. There's both "Thumb" charts for handheld play and "Multi-Finger" charts for tabletop play, so regardless of your device or play style you can still get a lot of mileage out of this. Songlist is solid too with some fresh faces and a lot of familiar rhythm game regulars and there's something for everyone. There is also the "slide input" mechanic which helps out thumb-based players by allowing them to slide their fingers across lanes to avoid wearing themselves out. We also greatly appreciate what we consider "standard rhythm game QoL features": scroll speed setting, mirror mode, timing offset adjustment, and early/late indicators. And on top of that, the standard judgement setting is pretty fair and allows for satisfactory play at most skill levels, but if you want to push yourself, there is the "Lunatic" judgement option with timing windows more akin to pop'n music or EZ2ON REBOOT : R, and scores are saved separately for that judgement type. This game features some nice visual customziation options. In additon to being able to modify visual skins for backgrounds, lanes, etc, you can also apply stickers to the playfield, whether it be for decoration or to obscure the playfield, either as a self-imposed challenge or to fine-tune note visibility for more precise or reactive play. It does feature some bugs and typos here and there, and amongst the community the game is infamous for its inaccurate difficulty ratings — the general trend seems to be that newer songs tend to be easier (seriously, we've played S20s released in late 2022 that are easier than early-version S16s!!). Course-related modes leave much to be desired, either due to costing a good chunk of in-game currency or having bugs related to timing offset. Finally, while we laud the game for having thumb and multifinger modes, the hitboxes in thumb mode are unforgiving and we tend to miss notes that don't feel like they should've been misses. There's also a decent amount of free content (albeit requiring unlocking) so you can try the game out before you start to make monetary investments into the DLC packs.
We think Kalpa is very good in music games! The songs in it are all very good.
We really like dis game because we like most music games but dis one is so fun we would recommend it it has great songs and it has different types if like ur a thumb player or a finger player it has that mode and if you want a random chart it has like a random chart feature so its so fun.
The notes dont register for us half of them time. Ive tried everything to configure the settings but nothing really works. Im pretty sad about this because we have been looking for another rhythm game like pjsekai.
Updating this review after over 2 years- ever since we first got into rhythm games, kalpa is the only one that ive consistently gone back to. It is a little annoying that you have to pay for more songs on the app, but the songs that are free are good enough for us. Ive been playing the same songs (plus a few that have been added in updates over the years) on the game for the last few years, not tired of them yet. We havent even touched any of the story mode stuff, and the game works fine without it. Our only problem with it right now is that since there was a new update, we cant access the store anymore until we pass some of the levels in the campaign. Either way, 10/10 would play again. Easy to navigate, and quick to play. Couldnt live without it.
This game is absolutely wonderful and is the only rhythm game that we keep coming back to. Leaving a positive note, there are a few issues. – Input/Sensory Problems. Sometimes the game wont register your taps and its almost like you have to tap really hard. -Offset Problems. The offset system is..odd and is a little wonky but you can kinda work around that as it really isnt that bad to deal with. Thats all we really have to say but this rhythm game is definitely one of the good ones and im very glad its still being updated.
All characters are stuck at step 4 with level 0. We find no solution and also no other way to tell the developers; please fix this so that we can give a good rating.
Very good game illustrates are outstanding and perfect if u are reading this u should get this game we recommend.
But one thing that needs to be improved is that simplified Chinese is opened in the game,but most of the time it is still English.we hope to improve it as soon as possible.

Really nice game! We like the slide mechanic and how simple the gameplay is. Its your normal lane-based rhythm game, which is easy to get into! Thank you for letting us do so much within the game. We like how you can customize your play however youd like, such as turning on mirror mode and choosing between thumb or multi-finger play our only problem is that this game relies on internet connection too much. When offline, players can only play the base pack. Please make it like Arcaea where you can keep what you purchased/earned. We would like to play the songs we earned offline as well, instead of only having the base pack to play.

Please go back to the old normal layout, youve updated the game twice or 3 times since ive downloaded it and we love this game but youve locked up more songs that we originally had, you made the actual piano tiles so much more unplayable, its so hard finding piano games and just when we thought this one was simple and easy to play and act enjoyable you switched it up on us.
This is a favourite if ours that we always come back too. Its got amazing soundtracks and amazing visuals. We havent even really had to spend money on it, as the best features are free.
Keeps pop up saying that there no internet for us to start the game, we really thought there was a update or something like that, there none it keeps giving the same warning there no internet please fix it soon we really want to try and play it.

Hi we were really excited for the new update because our zodiac was finally being added. (Taurus) now im just irritated. We have played this game for about a month now. We love the game in its self but why did it delete our account?! We already had 2 packs! We spent so much time and even waited the 4+ hours for the update to download just for it get rid of our account! We tried to just log back in but its making us download it again! Until this gets fixed im not playing this again. Beware people.
This is an incredibly well-made rhythm game! The story is well thought-out and it's worth every penny of paying for! We can't wait to see how it improves in the future!!! :).
Its such a great game and keeps us not bored especially in this pandemic but it is pricey for the music packs which is a bummer but its still a really good game and we recommend getting it.
This is a very well made game. The music is great, its visually appealing, and the gameplay is very easy to get into. Yes, there are in app purchases, but theres enough content to keep you occupied for hours. We cant wait to see what comes next, great job.
We use to like this game but it was starting to get boring after a while with no new updates it starts getting unfunny and the game takes up to much storage and it is really laggy sometimes and sometimes even crashes if you want to save storage then we dont recommend downloading this app.
The songs are nice and we enjoy reading the story when we get it but it is too little content. We ran the number and it get pricey. This is the base price with no discount. If you just want to buy the songs with no extra it a total of $18 for 4 packs which is 20 songs so about 90cents per song. This isnt worth it. We get more songs for $2 from Deemo. The 4 Packages cost $30 no discount and $27 for it. The prices should be clear and not required at least 5 minute of math Let people buy the whole thing along with some extras for about $10-$15.
We love the feel of the game but on newer iPhones the bar is too close to the edge of the screen so you accidentally hit the home bar which keeps pausing the game. If you could raise the bar higher it would be perfect. Otherwise good game.

As a fairly experienced rhythm game player, Id say this is, by far, one of the most thought out rhythm games Ive experienced. The story doesnt restrict you from playing certain songs, it only restricts you on the type of difficulty (ie. Normal, hard…) and the characters required for certain songs. The game feels like there was a whole lot of effort put into every aspect of the game, and it shows. It feels incredibly smooth to play and causes little to no eye strain like many rhythm games we enjoy playing. We only have a few tips for improvement on certain aspects. While it is nice to have new songs unlocked when a new character is acquired, it seems like individual characters dont have a variety of different songs. For beginner players, this would likely be a difficult game to play. There is no tutorial and there are only a few starter songs that would likely be easier for players new to the rhythm game genre.
We might just be dumb but theres no free song for us to play, they all require real money or energy (which we cant earn because we cant play anything else). Its a really nice aesthetic and id love to play but we just simply cant.
Anyway the settings are a bit confusing, but the game has an interesting story and is lots of fun! This game is very underrated we love it. Our only other complaint would be the English is a bit off but its nothing you cant understand.
Ok we LOVE this game! The music is really good. When we finally unlocked Multi-Finger mode we were really excited. But we still remembered that this is a 4-note thing game. Its 5, so we failed a lot of times and missed. Good game, there are a few mistakes in typing the lines we think. Hard for us probably will never get used to playing with a 5 note game.
We usually dont like writing reviews, but this is one of the few games we absolutely love. The songs are amazing, the gameplay is enjoyable yet difficult, and the grind for orbs and dark matter is manageable. However, we wish that you didnt have to pay money for some songs. There are plenty of songs to play for free, but there are some other really good songs that we need to pay for to play through. We understand the need for money in a free game, but we would be happy to pay for a game like this if all the songs came for free. Plus, the songs are a bit pricey. 500 stars is about 5 bucks and there is about 6 songs in a pack. The issue is that these songs, if we were to buy them, would give us 3 minutes of enjoyment for our 5 dollars. If there were more available songs for free to play people that dont require the grind in Mero, it would help a lot. Or, do events that allow players to win stars so that they can grind through challenges and save up their earnings. Just a suggestion, but we do really love this game.

This game is pretty good,but we don't have paypal or any other way to pay for the pack.we only have wechat or Alipay. Im so sad;p.
So this game is fun but theres just a few disadvantages that we want to mention. You cant get into the next chapters without beating two songs and the app usually crashes after you do the one song also making people spend money is a good way to back up the app but it would have been better if there was a way to unlock songs via the blue energy points. Otherwise its fun to play but could use improvement.
Everything is good until recently we cant play KALPA mode and download new tracks. Today we even fail to login!!! It may be a network issue.
