We were immediately drawn in because of the sudoku variants this app offers, and we were not disappointed when we started playing it. They explain each variant very well and make it easy to refer to the rules of each variant if you forget while playing. It is so much fun, we play every night! We were surprised by how much is available to free users, we have not felt limited at all and the ads are very minimal. This is honestly the first app we would consider buying the exclusive version of because it is not expensive (but the free version is awesome and totally useable). Hands down our favorite sudoku app of all time, we just love all the options and these puzzles really challenge our brain.
After the last iOS update, our previous go to sudoku app is no longer available in our region. So we've just been trolling through all the different sudoku apps, and some of them seem okay, but the ads are brutal, or they keep prompting you to download some other version of the app and it starts to feel scammy. Then we found this. Currently only using the free version, but it scratches the itch, has a great user interface, the ads are not too intrusive, and overall a pleasure to use. Devs will earn our money.
Been finding recently and traveled down every solvable avenue but some puzzles are simply unsolvable. When you click for a solution, it doesnt logically make sense how some candidates get eliminated.
The variances of this game give a new meaning to Sudoku.
We were really happy with this app for several months. We use the free version with ads. They were reasonably timed and not a bother until a recent update, where now the bottom ad banner expands over the screen every 15 seconds during the game. Very annoying, and enough to convince us to find another app.
This is a phenomenal app. We wish there was a way to randomize which ones were next rather than having them just be in numerical order.
We got this app because our son requested it, however after paying for a PREMIUM subscription, we still have frequent ads. It makes no sense, and is virtually a scam for paying premium fees. Id advise others NOT to fall into their fairly expensive premium trap, since it gets you NOTHING!! The sudoku otherwise is fun, of course. Addendum: support contacted us and advised to hit a little gold shield that just looked like a wax seal. That apparently activated getting rid of adverts. We are NOW a very happy camper. The game is very well put together, it was commercials driving us mad.
We have played this game for years and a perfect way to wind down at the end of the day. We love how the developers keep coming up with new ways to keep sudoku fun while constantly improving UI for a smoother experience.
Hard to beat. Good interface and good updates. Maybe copy cracking the cryptic and have special features puzzles from prominent setters or just add some puzzles from logic masters Germany with accreditation of course.
Nothing more relaxing than Sudoku.
Ive played a lot of different sudoku apps and this is by far our favorite. They add new puzzles often and also new variants that keep the gameplay fun. Its so worth buying the premium.
We are a sudoku fiend, and this is our favorite sudoku app. We play it literally every day. Our only qualm is that some puzzles are too hard to solve without guessing, but the app provides hints that actually explain HOW to solve it with super advanced strategies, which we appreciate.
So many variations. We play it everyday.
If you like sudoku this a must!! We do so, we went all in. No adds etc. We have not regretted it.
This app is outstanding! From straight Sudoku to a wide variety of rule sets that make amazing number logic puzzles. It also offers many difficulty levels from easy through master (which are very hard!). Great customizable interface, including varying levels of help clues.
Great functionality and ease of play.
We play a puzzle or two every night. We love the versatility of the app. You can make it as hard on yourself as you want, but theres no judgment if you decide to turn on error checking or hit a how am we doing? Check-in. It feels like there are endless puzzles, and Im a huge hybrid-puzzle fan, so the combinations of familiar variants are perfect for us. The fact that theyre all handmade and obviously produced with love makes the subscription price more than worthwhile. If you love sudoku, whether youre a novice or a Cracking the Cryptic superfan, check out this app. Its well worth your time.
Ive tried so many sudoku apps, and none of them come even close to this one. So many great variants, the improved hints actually help you learn strategies & improve, and the devs regularly release new boards across difficulty levels. The creators definitely understand what makes a great digital sudoku experience. We deleted all our other sudoku apps whats the point when this app exists? It is perfection.
This app is the best. We just treated ourselves to the paid version for mothers day though the free version has a lot to offer too.
This app is hands-down our favorite sudoku app. We thought it was a little expensive to get rid of the ads, but we really really enjoy playing. It has auto-candidate, and several other nice features that make playing really nice compared to any other sudoku app we tried. For the amount we paid, we wish it included removing the ads in their other apps too though.
We really enjoy this game! The variants are incredible! They have added so much to the classic sudoku it would be hard to return to ordinary sudoku which is the only thing you will find with other apps. Thanks guys.

We cannot speak highly enough about this app. Not only is the user interface easy to use, but the variants to the game is what keeps us coming back. The hints are another huge selling point because they effectively taught us new strategies through easy to follow logic. Highly highly recommend.
Our brain craves these challenges! Our favorite variants are the chess related ones. We love that the Master level puzzles take us hours to solved. Definitely an endorphin boost and thankful for the creators for making a game we already loved so much more amazing. We will never go back to normal sudoku.

Great app for all sudoku and variants. However, when selecting a single variant to play (for example, Killer sudoku) we also get puzzles with other variations in it. The way around it is to de-select every other variant to remove them from the search. Please make it so that when selecting one variant that only that one will be shown unless you select other variants. This is very cumbersome and would be great to fix in a future update.
This app is absolutely worth paying the subscription for for access to interesting puzzles. That said, even the free puzzles are an absolute joy to sit down and solve! Id rate 6 stars or more if we could.
We really love the game. However, we wish we could change the outline color from orange to something a little more vibrant. It can be difficult for orange to stand out for us when Im trying to narrow things down.

By far the best sudoku app in terms of controls and puzzle variety, miles better than the sudoku.com app. The ads are a necessary evil, not too obtrusive though it was annoying to beat a puzzle get an ad, start a new puzzle immediately get an ad. We highly recommend just getting a lifetime sub when it goes on sale, Ive gotten hundreds of hours of fun out of this app so whether its the sale price or full price its worth imo.
We love this app! It is the best Ive experienced BUT we cant help but wonder what is happening in the background to make it prevent us from listening to audiobooks and YouTube. It is constantly stopping the audio. We play other games without this happening so we dont understand why it is happening.
We just came here to say that puzzle #427 on hard mode is such a banger of a puzzle. Literally over here giggling like a child solving this thing. This is the best sudoku variants app buy the full version its so worth it.

The UI is fantastic and the Sudoku tutorial is very comprehensive which helps us to learn quite a lot advanced strategies.

This Sudoku app does everything we never knew we wanted a puzzle app to do. Its stimulating and challenging, and unlike other sudoku apps Ive used, helps us learn new strategies for solving puzzles. It has fantastic functionality for highlighting, scribbling, and even for adding new cages on killer puzzles. The ads in the free version irritated us significantly, but we enjoy the app enough that we paid for the annual subscription and we havent regretted it once.

First of all let us say Ive spent countless hours doing sudoku on this app the variety and puzzle construction is amazing never feels much like a generated sudoku and the tools you can use to track the puzzle are very useful. However there is one more we wish we had, we would like to be able to highlight specific note digits within a cell by changing the color of the digit itself (not like the background highlight already available). Doesnt need to be fully customizable just having a primary and secondary color would be wonderful, like a marker tool that works just like the pencil tool but overwrites the pencil tool. Being able to highlight certain digits like this makes it much easier to track pairs while also having full notes written in. Please look at the app Good Sudoku by Zach Gage and Jack Schlesinger for an example of the kind of highlight tool Im talking about.
Can't think of anything wrong with it. It has nearly all variants and minimal adds and generous customizations. Wish it had fog sudoku though.
All sorts of fun variants (even in free version) and a very good GUI when you get the hang of it.
Absolutely our favorite Sudoku apps. The hint system is very helpful as it doesn't just give you a number, but actually helps you solve it yourself.
This is the best app for variant sudoku by far. So many variants, well-crafted puzzles, and an intuitive hint system for when you get stuck. Our only ask: allow us to change the default colors of various lines. We get confused when renban lines are green and German whispers are red, especially as more line variants get added. Some are the colors we're used to from other puzzles, like dutch whispers or zipper, but others aren't.
Game difficulty is accurate. Challenging and great strategy help. Advanced marking tools. So much better than sudoku.com.
