With Wingsong you can easily find out how all the birds of the boardgame Wingspan are singing. You just have to hold a bird card in the camera of you smartphone and right away you'll hear the chirping of the bird on your card.
In addition you can add all of your birds that are in your wildlife preserve to a playlist. The songs of your birds will play randomly throughout your game to create an even more immersive Wingspan experience.

Ive had this app for maybe two years, and we love it! It is so fun to be able to listen to your birds when playing the game and not have to search the name of the bird on a search engine each time. A great idea to scan the cards for the sound.
An elegant and thoughtful way to break the concentration of fellow players so we have a chance to win. Enjoy the coffee but we know your not getting it at Starbucks for those prices! Big question: When is Wyrmsong coming out.

We recently purchased Wingspan and during our games, our husband kept trying to look up the bird sounds, with little success. Played with the app last night for the first time, scanning in each new bird we played and it was so much fun! Really added to the ambiance. The roadrunner made us both laugh! 100% recommend for bird fans.

We love the app, but we want it to have a shuffle button for the playlist, and/or we want an option to have the birdsongs play overlapping each other randomly interspersed for immersion. Still great.
Really appreciate the hard work put into this free (!!??) app. Its such a fun addition to wingspan.

This is great for a free app, total respect to the dev for creating this delightful software. Id easily pay $3-4 if there were two features specifically- 1) ability to use the front facing camera so we can set it up in a kiosk fashion and 2) the sound will not go out through bluetooth and insists on using the phone speaker. Would be great to allow the app to use the active audio output.
We have an iPhone and our husband has a Samsung. The app works incredibly well on his phone, flawlessly! On our iPhone however, the app launches fine and then when we scan a card it instantly says oops no connection and acts like there is not internet connectivity. Im not sure why its doing this after ensuring all permissions were set correctly and all troubleshooting on our end done and it still wouldnt work. Any idea if this has happened before or how to fix it? All other connectivity apps work fine.
We have this in our iPhone 14 pro max. Says oopsno connection when trying to hear bird sounds. Our wifes app works perfectly on her android phone. It isnt an internet issue either, as we turned that off to make sure. We also uninstalled and reinstalled it with the same result. Is there a fix coming for this? We noticed someone else on their review with the exact same issue. Would love to rate it better but it just doesnt work.
IPhone 12 Pro. IOS 16.5.1 we tap the icon on our Home Screen to open the app. The app splash image displays for a split second, then disappears. Ive not been successful in getting the app to open.
Havent used it for a while but it seems to have stopped working. :(.
Id like to get the full stadium effect by connecting iPad to Bluetooth speaker for bird songs. Bird songs only play on iPad. Good scan ability.
The roadrunner card makes this an instant 5 stars.
This is great. We love birds and we love Wingspan, to the point where during the game Id occasionally look up a bird call here or there just out of interest. Now all we have to do is open the app and hold the phone over a card. Its a simple interface. The longer you hold it, the longer it plays that bird call. We were wary of the app having in app purchases, but it seems all sounds are available for free. That said you can buy the developer one (or more) cups of coffee as an in app purchase. We were so Impressed, we bought them three cups.
We really want this app to work, as we are big Wingspan fans! However, it crashes upon opening every single time. We have not been able to use it at all.
This year has been particularly rough for us. One of our best friends that we played this game with left us. Its one of our favorite games. Not just because its a beautiful game, but because we absolutely love birds. Now we have to play this game alone. This app has brought so much joy for us when we play this game. Its almost like playing for the first time again. Thank you for creating this app.

This app is probably why iPhones were invented. So far Ive shown this to a half dozen friends and family, including at least a couple who dont even play Wingspan and had no idea what we were talking about. Ill probably start showing it to strangers on the street soon.
Just got the game and have been excited to try it out. We wish that when the card is scanned we could know more about the bird. Where does it live more specifically( like is it more common in Texas or Minnesota) or other interesting facts about it.
Yo the roadrunner had everyone laughing it was a nice Easter egg! It does have a bug where using the app after sleep doesnt pull up the camera properly, but it still works.
We got this to share with our dad who is bird obsessed, however we were very disappointed to not have the bird noises play over the Bluetooth speaker our phone was connected to and that we were using for music.
We really was looking forward to using this app. We downloaded it with great expectations, but it crashes upon every attempt. We see a speaker and a feather for a minute or two, then it just nails ship and we find ourselves back at our Home Screen.
This is such an excellent addition to the game. How fun to run across the birds youve seen in your own backyard and then be able to bring them to life via sound just by scanning a card you already have in front of you. So easy! We recommend the app to anyone who even remotely enjoys Wingspan. Note: Spotted Owl was restricted as of 2/22/21.
Its quite niche. For the wingspan lover its a wonderful addition to the game. Simple interface. Does what it promises. And free with the option to donate. An absolute gem in todays casino style app market. Will buy dev a coffee when payday comes! Great little app.
