Best way to enjoy new stories and make choices as you go along all kinds of excitement as long as you have the imagination for it you can do anything thank you guys for creating something so cool.
After having gone through all the free content, we have 3 main problems with this app: 1) Awful preset options, both the options themselves (little variety, frequently no change in outcome) and in UX (just shows the first X words of the next story segment, as opposed to adding a layer which parses and summarized the option). 2) Story segments go one step too far, leading to excessive and sometimes braindead railroading. For example, the castle scenario starts by forcing the protagonists to exit a besieged castle and enter open battle. Without motivation, such as running out of food and being desperate, it doesnt make sense to go into open battle, and its awful that we have to manually type in something like actually, we go back inside the castle because open battle would be suicidal. 3) Most importantly, all of this is made worse by the fundamental missing feature of role playing or writing a story: the ability to ask questions out of character. Where am we? What is our goal? Am we alone? The fact that you can go through any scenario and have the 5 Ws unanswered (Who, What, When, Where, Why) is such a catastrophic failure of storytelling, Im extremely confused what the goal of the app development even is, because it certainly isnt to create engaging or entertaining stories. This app claims to put you in the role of protagonist, making decisions that shape the story. However, it doesnt at all deliver on that promise. A fully prewritten Choose Your Own Adventure style story would be more satisfying, but we understand that it takes a completely different skill set to create. Right now, this apps redeeming features are that its visually interesting and that it (kind of) lets you type in custom responses, even if the language model isnt able to address those in an engaging way.
We thought 17+ apps were more at ease with sexually explicit stuff. We were playing AI Tales – Calm Chat Stories and was writing our own adventure/story. Word for word. Because, all the generated ones were more bland and dull than anything else. So, we made it extra spicy and homoerotic. We were playing as Ganymede and just typed what Zeus would do to Ganymede/him. We had just finished typing something and The app said, AI is confused and shy. Cant you try phrasing it in a kinder way? Bust! Instant bust! We deleted the game. Like, the game IS rated 17+. Why are they getting flushed about sexual stuff? If it was rated 12+ or lower, Id understand. But, its meant for adults! Im just going to wait until, AI Dungeon is finished with maintenance. Thats the only reason why we even gave this game a try. We thought itd be like AI Dungeon. But, its definitely not.
As many, ourselves included, will say in the reviews, plenty of potential. Overall great quality, awesome concept, and plenty interesting. However it is a little buggy and the grammar is, while somewhat legible, pretty bad. Creating your own story is especially a work in progress as more often than not the AI doesnt understand where the story should go- and the stories premade for the game itself? Kind of short and a little predictable. We do believe that with time it will grow to be the type of app that changes the course of ai games, but as of now it is still very much an up-and-coming project.
This is an interesting idea in concept, but in reality it doesnt work all that well. The story segments tend to not make any sense, and the choices make even less sense we started the pirate story and it began with the enemy pirates having a large crew that was essentially the whole story segment and our two options were fight the pirates or you have a small crew. Huh? From there it just got even more nonsensical with the such story segments as the pirate captain pokes you with a bullet, you grab the gun, it is easy to pull apart and so on. The AI-generated backgrounds also dont match up very well In the pirate story we were often seeing castles or, more bizarrely, a group of what looked to be modern American army soldiers. The app has potential, but so far it just isnt there.
This game is very fun and relaxing but we just shows you how advanced AI is now a days It listens to what you say and comments on it The AI is really nice and a good friend when you have no one.
We're gonna be honest we wasn't expecting much out of this game, our expectations were completely blown out of the water. Incredible game, would download again 10/10.
The concept is super cool and we enjoyed it for like the first 5 minutes! It does however get boring and feel repetitive.
Ive paid to support this project because we believe it can become an incredible game, when it works its brilliant. Sometimes even downright thought provoking. Unfortunately this is a rare occurrence. Several times the AI has mid story talked about game controls for playing computer games and hits a loop. It really seems to struggle with holding onto details in the story. Which is strange when it keeps a record of the story thus far. You can also directly influence what happens. Like we can do anything just by typing we succeeded in saving the king and its basically just 9 more frames of nonsensical unrelated interactions until the story just sort of ends. Even just playing with only swipes does this. Im looking forward to the development of this project.
The AI is crazy how random it gets but wish d tales was longer.
Like the title says, this game has potential. The ai as of right now though is still unpolished and isnt responsive to the choices we enter as it should be. On the pirate story, we entered to use magic to destroy the pirate ship. It said that the ships were destroyed but then it also said the battle began. Kind of just feels like it puts the custom choices in there and then goes on with the story.
We like it the ai is amazing but there is so much that you have to buy and the storys are too short.
We were doing a medieval fantasy story and a war started so we typed we pull out a Glock 19 and it let us.
Good for helping one overcome writers block. The create your own story feature is great. Its exactly like those old scholastic choose your own adventure books. The aesthetics of the app are really nice as well.
We really enjoy this app! The stories are fun, creative, and full of surprises. We decided to buy the Lifetime Game Master subscription for $29.99, and we don't regret it one bit. It's totally worth it for everything you get, plus it helps support the developer to keep improving and adding more content. We can tell a lot of effort and creativity went into making this game, and we appreciate that. We're happy to support the team behind it and look forward to seeing what they add in the future.
The concept is cool and the layout is easy to use and although there is a lot to look at its not overwhelming. Your interaction is quite limited unless you want to pay. Our issues are you get halfway through the story, some nonsensical option comes up and then the story abruptly ends. We dont know if thats because we were using the free version or the AI just isnt very well developed. The is a cool feature that allows you to create your own story (only once with the free version) but again the AI takes your three ideas and comes up with some completely unrelated story. (our three words were Japan, racing, underground) and its was about us driving into a eerie tunnel and we crashed into a magical barrier that turned into a door into some random chicks house and then it ended.
It really has potential but honestly it got boring and every story is so short and not really entertaining and as it continues it makes it less interesting and less entertaining.
Very interesting and fun we bought a lifetime game master hope you giving us a surpise improvement.
Its free and you get many stories about 20 moves per story without purchasing something to get unlimited actions per story Its engaging. We think its still in the early forms because the actions are usually pick up or drop like theyre complete opposite actions but you can also type things yourself so that is a plus and the AI will only get better probably.
Storys are always way to short, just as Im getting into it it ends and we cant do anything about it.
The idea itself has a lot of potential but as of this review most the stories spent 12 out the 20 panels talking about running and the rest was the ai trying to figure out where the story was going. Most stories ended with just come up with a good ending (ai suggested answer) good idea but the ai has a long way to go.
Insanely fun but we wish it was cheaper for the mastered version.

Hello! We think this game is wonderful, really great job. Our only complaints would be id like to know more context. It helps us build a picture in our head of whats going on, and what our next choices should be. We dont want to specifically ask Where am we? We just wish there was a tab that had all those answers, even maybe an AI generated map would be cool. Our other idea was more AI generated scenes, as in if there is a general idea of the context, the AI can paint/draw picture of whats going on. Kind of like chatgpt if we ask it to draw a photo of someone finding the answers to the universe. Anyways, good job. Thank you for responding to our reddit post on iosgaming and showing us whats up. Continue advertising and updating and listening to peoples ideas and critics and this game will be a huge success we believe.

We want to have infinite story but 4.99 a month for something that should be free. Take Ai Dungeon for example, They have purchases and infinite story to go through and some thing are payed. AT LEAST HAVE INFINITE MODE FREE.
We have two major problems with this they pay wall and the ai just kind of feels flat we can get passed the pay wall but the ai a lot of the time struggles to keep us entertained and we Judds end up shooting the same pirates over and over until we win and our story ends but this ai is still probably one of the best we have ever seen it works amazingly unlike some other ai it just needs to be more fun.
Your limited even when your imagination thing is set to mind blowing. Im uninstalling and never reinstalling.
Ai gets confused easily as it spits out content that is inconsistent with what it previously provided. Its good though and we like the free scenarios.
We bought the lifetime game master and wow this is so zen!! We really hope you can continue developing this app, we love it so much. We are blessed to have found this app, it really made us happy after a depressing year Ive had (2021). This app made us see the light :) thank you.

Awesome alternative or a complimentary game to ai dungeon. We actually like this one more. The one time price is too high, should be 19 dollars or so.
This game is very interesting of course the ai can be improved but it is a extremely interesting game. We have always loved ai storytelling. Sometimes though the ai drifts off to philosophy land.
This looks like a really really fun game, however, there is no voiceover accessibility. Due to the fact that we are blind, we need to have a screen reader read the text. Could you please add old tags so that we can enjoy this game.
This game has the potential to be an insane time sink. However right now the storys are a bit AI-ish. They dont really pass the Turing test. We could be using the app wrong and if we are please let us know. For the time being we would still definitely recommend tho.
We only have one problem and its that even when you turn of vibration it still vibrates every time you type a character.
