Community Insight:
Used this for a birthday party and it was so much fun, highly recommend.
We played with our two kids and we had a blast. The clues were challenging but not frustrating. We saw little parts of the memorials that we hadnt noticed before. We cant wait to do another hunt.
The hunt wasnt too short or too long, there wasnt an excessive amount of walking either. The questions werent too easy or too hard, but very well crafted and had you looking at new bits of information and learning new things! This was a great pastime and we recommend it to most everyone.
Found this app, when searching for something to do. And we gotta say its a great way to spend a weekend afternoon in the District. A lot of fun to do with family or a date. Furthermore, its a very user friendly app, that has had a lot more UI improvements since we first used it, and another course! It really feels like youre in National Treasure as youre walking the mall searching for clues. 10/10 would recommend.
Such a great activity for friends and family. Very informative and great for exploring the DC area/monuments.
Fun way to learn about the National mall and have fun with other people at the same time.
What a wonderful way to see sights in DC with friends and family and learn details about places of historical significance! Learned a lot and got exercise while playing. All around great fun.
Great fun app to learn about monuments while in DC. Provides adventure and knowledge of monuments that one might not get just walking around alone. Kids were entertained and interested in each clue.
We were in DC with our family walking around the National Mall. We heard somebody talking about this and decided to try it so much fun!! They were running from monument to monument looking for the answers (even got a little competitive!) to the riddles and didnt realize they were learning along the way! Highly recommend.
We had a great time completing the scavenger hunt with friends of all ages! It was full of adventure, history, and plenty of fun facts. Perfect activity for a nice day in DC.
A lot of fun for kids and tourists.
A great fun game for all ages . You can experience the DC history while learning many interesting unique facts about the Memorials. We would recommend for anyone who likes adventure. The length of the scavenger hunt was perfect.
We played with our husband and 3 kids (ages 4-8) and we all had a ball! It was great to see the monuments in new ways and discover exciting new details we had never noticed before. A great little adventure for all.
This was such a fun activity to do with a group! As someone who grew up in the DC area, this scavenger hunt took us to places Id never been before. It was a blast getting to walk around the national mall.
Based on how easy the app is to use, the fun and interesting questions about the monuments, and the way you can compete against friends and families, we have to give Capital Clues 5 stars! Highly suggested for those interested in history or up for a challenge.
What a great find! As someone who enjoys traveling, walking and seeing as much as possible in every new city, and learning something new whenever we can, this is the perfect DC game to mix those interests! Great game to play with a group of friends or family and as someone that actually lives in DC we played with a group of friends and really enjoyed the friendly competition and exploration in the National Mall. It also seems like the creator is constantly making the game more fun. They introduced a new scoreboard feature that makes running around and exploring even more fun! Most try.
If you go to the Capital. Yii oh we must play capital clues. You dont have to be a historian or even that smart. If you like playing games and are a bit competitive. This is for you. Put on your walking shoes and have fun. Our team didnt win. Still a lot of fun. And you will learn things as you go without even knowing it.
Its been a while since Ive really explored the National Mall and DC sights and this was the PERFECT activity for our friends and family – we started out together through the scavenger hunt and clues and eventually made our own adventure throughout the mall. We loved the family-friendly (but still SO interesting!!) clues and challenges and especially enjoyed the fun sneaky clues/pictures throughout. Super easy to download & follow along. Definitely recommend for your next gathering!! Id love to see this app in other cities.
Will definitely be using this app for monument tours with visiting friends and family.
A great way to spend some time outside around the monuments and learn some fun facts. Highly recommend.
Went to DC with our family knowing a lot about American history, but wanting to learn more. This app was not only very informative, but also interactive. We highly recommend this app its family friendly, fun, and you visit the monuments in a timely manner! Its a five star app.
Great idea! It was so much fun using the app to take a deeper look at the monuments and statues. There is a map for first timers (which helped a lot) and hints if you get stumped. Challenging, insightful, and an absolute must. There is also a competitive aspect of the game where you can play with teams! Overall, 10/10 would recommend.
Our family and we had SO much fun solving all of these clues!! It felt almost like an outdoor escape room. A great way to see the mall and also learn a lot. Ive lived here five years and didnt know majority of the fun facts. Would definitely recommend.
Ill admit, we were a skeptic at first but our group of 16 had a blast doing this scavenger hunt. Learned lots of neat tidbits about the national mall in the process. 10/10 would recommend.
Two DC friends and we did the Lincoln-to-Washington course today and it was a great way to look closely at lesser-known memorials and monuments and discover some surprising details at the famous ones weve passed a lot before. The app is still new and theres room for improvement but its clever and enjoyable.
