So nice to pay once and be done with it! Fun match 3 with a lot of fun little enhancements. The ad games are ridiculous.
This is by far our favorite match 3 game on iOS and its in the top 3 across all the similar games Ive played across all platforms. The levels are interesting and challenging without being unfair, the power-ups are interesting and, while not unique to this game, add a fun element of strategy to play. The daily levels are also usually both fun and challenging. The endless zen mode is also a good option for unstructured gameplay. The one IAP adds a few hundred extra levels and a few new mechanics, along with a second gold daily level. We found the cost of both the game and IAP to be well worth the dozens of hours Ive played. We hope the dev keeps offering occasional similar DLCsIll be sure to pick them up if so. One feature Id like is a procedurally generated mode like zen mode but with actual objectives like the main levels.
We really enjoy everything about this game! Of note, the developer is very responsive to any issues that arise. The game is fast paced and fun! Great challenges and many levels to play.
Love this game so much! Truly ad free! This is a great game that easily beats every other matching game out there! Lindsey is so on top of bug reports, unlike other developers. We love all the games from this developer and recommend them all. Finally an ad free, clean experience.
The pricetag of $2 is well worth-it. We have many hours in this game. There are no ads. The gameplay is fun and polished. The programming seems to be very well-done: we have never encountered a game-breaking bug. The icons on the tiles that you match can be freely customized from a huge batch of icons. Unlocking the icons by playing is a fun challenge. The Gold levels and mechanics are also worth $2, although we briefly had trouble redeeming our purchase of the Gold Edition (this has since been resolved, and we are enjoying Gold). The music, sound effects, and haptic feedback are all pleasant and calming. When we play this game, we do not feel anxious in the way that other free games in this genre make us feel anxious. If you enjoy Bejeweled, Tetris, or similar games, then you will enjoy Simple Match 3.
We play the daily level, well, daily. Never a single ad. Follows the typical match 3 rules, just no buying a win. Perfect fidget game while listening to podcasts or lectures.no timed events, so no worries setting it down to take a note, or focus more closely. Im Katalysator on the leaderboard (typically in the top three). Latest update has a leaderboard problem.
When we switch to zen mode, there is no way we can switch back to normal mode.
Level 158 has a glitch we get every thing done but says we still have boxes to break.
It feels like sometimes you cant have it all in a game but this game manages to not only super fun to play but also no annoying ads! Sure theres an a small cost however, its going towards supporting an indie developer. Also the other match 3 games cost like $2.99 to go ad-free but then you still have to deal with hearts, power-ups, boost, ect. Playing this game feels like standing up to freemium games too The experience is extra wonderful because you can tell a lover of match 3 games made it. We wish the best for this indie dev so that one day they can be a full time dev and keep making these games.
This is really all we want in a mobile game. Engaging, addictive puzzles that dont add all the mini-game nonsense and the non stop push for more purchases. And ZERO ads. All for a one time purchase of a few bucks. We highly recommend to anyone burned out by developers constantly changing gameplay rules and begging for money.
Original review below, but they fixed it all and we are very happy! The last two major updates have taken this simple game we loved to play while listening to audiobooks and made it into an app Im going to delete if things are not changed back. The way the game worked for so long was totally changed, and we just went to open it again and zen mode is gone. It was all we wanted from it and its gone, now. Why cant we have anything simple anymore.
The newest update is totally worth the upgrade price. Lots of new levels and improvements. More please.

This developer is amazing. We want to play mobile games but they all lack simplicity. We dont want to build houses and do make overs with our match 3 anymore . This is perfect, as well as their other projects. We hope you keep making games!! :).

We really love this game! Customizing the tiles and earning new tilesets is fun. The level progression is satisfying. We adore the fact that theres no ads. We wish premium loaded – we bought it and it doesnt load, despite our internet connection being just fine. Otherwise we love this game.

Treat yourself to the best match-3 on iOS AND support a real human game developer who puts love and care into what she does. Puts all the slop clones to shame, really. Perfect. Go get her CozySolitaire game (with upgrades), too! You will not regret it.
This app has been 100% worth the very minimal cost. The graphics are clean and appealing and the game play experience is of actually playing the game rather than constantly dodging ads or power up packages. We beat all the levels months ago but we still play it daily – the daily level is always a fun challenge and we appreciate the random level option. We just got the new update and Im looking forward to exploring the new levels and features.

This app is fantastic. Plenty of levels to keep you engaged. There are several mechanics to keep things challenging and interesting, without feeling unfair or too grindy. We love that theres no microtransactions – Ill pay for no ads and unlocked customization any day. Greatly looking forward to more games from this developer.

We have found through experience that the match 3 games that have in-app purchases have a rigged algorithm where the game, regardless of your moves, leads you to a point where you almost win the level and then offers you more chances if you make a purchase. This game you pay up front and there are NO in-app purchases. As such the game is entirely fair. If you play well you win. If you dont, you lose. The gameplay is a simple straightforward match 3. As you play along you get power ups for advancing and reaching goals and you can change the themes of the tiles. There are no ridiculous side puzzles, growing a garden, or purchasing farm animals. The graphics are satisfying without being overwhelming. Dont mistake simple for easy. We are up to level 65 and finding it VERY challenging. Works well on an iMac with trackpad or iPad. Easily worth what you pay for it. Thank you Mulberry Tree Games for a fair, fun, addictive match 3 game. Outstanding.
Awesome game, and the best match 3 Ive played, maybe ever. Level 122 has been brought up before and it still needs to be looked at. You shouldnt have to spend dozens of power-ups to only maybe get past it.
Thanks so much for developing this. It's so awesome to have a match 3 game that isn't trying to upsell you all of the time. We love the simplicity and the customization options. The music is also very relaxing. After playing for a couple days we have two minor complaints. 1. Sometimes swipes don't always register at first, like they have small touch boxes (similarly changing the tile icons is pretty finicky in the settings). 2. We feel like combining the rainbows isn't as satisfying as other match 3 games. Like, combining two vertical rainbows doesn't really give you an advantage over using both individually. In other games combing special tiles would result in a more powerful tile or effect.
Ive had this for a year and we still play everyday, great work! Would you release the Daily Levels to replay after the day has passed? The game provides so much value as is that Id gladly pay an additional one-time to play all the past Daily Levels.
Things we love: no micro transactions, we can play anytime (no lives to earn or wait for), it has a daily challenge and zen mode. Relaxing game play! Our one gripe we have is the game will only play in portrait mode and we prefer to play games in landscape. Small gripe and we guess its just our preference. We are very much enjoying the game, especially since we completely stopped playing a different match 3 whos developers were making changes which in no way were enhancing a game we had been playing for over 10 years.
We love this game. We love the leaderboard after the daily level and the zen mode with no move limit. Someone times we just sit there and make power-ups. The option to change out the tiles and not have to pick a specific set it so nice. Our one critique is when you finish an achievement you have to tap the gift forever to open it up. We wish that it was like 3-4 taps. Overall a stellar game.

Its clever. All the achievements and daily goals (some are so random haha) and power ups are motivating and fun. And all the icons you can earn to customize the game look are super cute. We wish we could tell the reviewer that was frustrated with the black boxes that they are devious but they do not appear in all the levels, keep at it – youll get past them! The balance of challenge vs. Ease is good – and zen mode is always an option if its been a hard day and you just want to chill out. We feel like a lot of love has gone into this app and the other Mulberry Tree Games. Thank you solo developer busy mom! We hope you make some more games.
We like the simplicity of the game yet it is customizable. So relaxing and ad-free beautiful game.
The art is beautiful, sfx are satisfying, and there's collectibles to customize your tiles. We were hoping this would give us similar cozy feelings to the dev's other games, but we seem to find match 3 to be more stressful than relaxing, even after hiding the score meter to try to make it feel less "competitive". It's not a fault of the game though, that's just us. It was still worth the price to give it a shot.
We love this game typically but uhm what gives with the June 20th daily level.
One level is an easy 3 star, the next is impossible without using over 10 powerups minimum. All levels should be possible to 3 star without excessive use of powerups. Especially since you cant even buy powerups.
We were looking for a simple puzzle game that didn't steal our data. You'd think that wouldn't be so hard! The game is delightful, with cute design, and pleasant sound FX. And we love the different tile options. The daily levels provide a nice challenge, and the zen mode is relaxing. All-in-all, a great purchase for $2. We've already downloaded other games from this dev.
This is simply the best matching game Ive ever played. There are 300 levels as well as daily challenges and a zen mode. New challenges are presented almost every 10-20 levels. Even deep in the 200s new challenges were being presented! This is for sure worth the money, no question. Suggestion – when picking random level it would be cool to see how many stars we have on that level. It would give us a chance to try and beat that previous amount and achieve three star. New levels, of course, is a big ask but we think you could do it in a way where its like 100-200 levels for $2 or something. That way you can get some profit from the effort. Finally, a section to play previous daily levels. We dont always have the chance to beat the daily level. It would be cool if we could go back and try levels from past days. 10/10.
We played the usual 3 match games and was spending way too much. $1.99 and $5.99 for 100 coin or something adds up only to burn through it. Enter this cute game! Same match 3 concept, but only one under $5 purchase! We can customize the tiles and the little boots are generous because they are not run by the money-bots. Zen mode is actually relaxing. Great game to play on your commute or whenever.
We look forward each day to playing this game we have completed all the challenges/achievements, including earning 3 stars on 300 levels. We are hoping there are new levels soon. We have many power-ups stored up for future play. Only new level we can play now is the Daily Level. And now, the counter on our daily level is stuck at 76 out of 90 daily levels. Can that be fixed? This game is such a refreshing change from what so many other developers have out there with ad bombardments, rigging games to force purchases to advance, etc. This game brings back the patience and perseverance aspect of playing a game. Some levels, we have restarted over and over, but in the end, its cleared, and that gives the feeling of achievement. Thank you for this Simple Match 3 game.
We genuinely appreciate that its such a robust game for being as inexpensive as it is. We often use it to unwind at night. Unlike a lot of other match 3 games this one doesnt bother you with ads or try to make you spend money to play more then a few levels. If you want to you can absolutely beat every level in a day or two but its satisfying to take your time with this one.
Its a fun game thats enjoyable. Have you ever thought about a chess game.
