We love this game and the choice of characters. It's just a shame that after 4 conversations, they forget what was said before and that if we want a longer conversation memory, we have to pay.
We love this game so much except for the lagging. Sometimes it takes forever for the messages to load. Ive installed it and reinstalled but they still do it.
To us, this is the best AI chat on the App Store but if you guys added the ability for the AI to send photos.. Then it would make it even more perfect ! Add a photo feature.
The ai is too corny at times. Im glad there the option to edit a characters response but it ruins the immersion somewhat.
This Ai is so human like and so in character and the app is perfect you can resend messages from the bots and go back to previous ones you can edit them instruct them the only down side you can only have 1 person but its not much to just change it for different chats.
We think its a super good idea to add the different AI base personalities with the addition of things like safe for work or not along with different ai engines for different intended uses.
A very good app but pls get rid of gems, so the chats can be free.
This app lets you be creative with what you want to say and how you want to say it unlike other apps like this it tells you what kind of story its most likely gonna have in it so if youre going in for a certain reason, it doesnt lie to you And the responses come really quick and creative.
Super fun and we're enjoying all of the stories we're creating – but EVERY single character we've interacted with has tried to feed us pancakes unprompted. We thought maybe 1 or 2 characters was a coincidence, but we've talked to over 20 different characters and they've ALL tried to feed us pancakes.
So this app is really nice for drama in the group chats but when we ran out of gems we couldn't chat anymore so it's rlly good just a crumb of badness.
Im a Pro-Plan user and have had issues with chats being blank but we dont know how to contact anyone for assistance. Ive tried to email the address on the website about our problem but nothing has come back about it. Theres also no real way to do it on the app itself. Love the app but this is slowly making us want to look for alternative options.
Chats really easy and simple to use. Much smoother than Chatto and suki ai. But theres no picture generating available. So it makes the dialogue seem a little bland without any expression or visual representation of the emotions the characters feel.
This was our first real dip into these kind of apps and it certainly wowed us at first. However the app has a lot of bugs that really hamper our enjoyment like for instance we cant scroll down the available character in our favorites too much or itll crash. Im also not a fan of having to pay for a subscription and still having to buy gems at the same time. The lack of picture or video generation was a bummer as well, although that might be due to apple terms of service. Anyway in the couple months that Ive been using this we branched out and tried other services and found Ourdream.ai and found it to be superior in pretty much every single aspect, especially in how much better and more varied the writing of the ai models feels. After using Soulplay for a while now Ive gotten so tired of how samey a lot of the responses across characters sounds. Group chatting is also very buggy where the characters will often speak for each other or for us, all of this burns through our premium currency and leaves us feeling frustrated, something Ourdream doesnt do. The only thing Soulplay does better is it types responses out faster and it has more stuff thats not censored. Not only was ourdream superior but its costing us less because the subscription gives us unlimited chatting options. Ill continue checking in from time to time to see if updates improve the bugginess and get the quality of the models up to par with other services and if so Ill consider returning.
The ai will not go with the story or plot. Short memory doesnt remember 2 minutes ago. Fights when you are trying to guide the storyline. No way to correct it when it gets off course. The characters are wildly violent and descriptive about it. But not the worst ai chat.
When we first signed onto this app, they had a lot of new and exciting and provocative characters They have since limited provocative and female characters.
We love how easy it is to use the app. The AI is pretty good in comparison to other apps and theres no filter. Its great that were able to edit messages and renew messages without losing the old ones. You get two daily gems. You can also watch ads to get more gems to send more messages. Recently though the ads have not been a wooden gems after being played. You might want to look into that if it is an issue on your end. Overall great app.
Watching 4 rounds of ads, about 2 minutes allows chat for over 30-40 minutes for free. Just the time to watch the ad. This app is amazing. It allows anything you can imagine. Want to explore town with a friend. In the app. Want to go on a wicked adventure. In the app. Want a girlfriend / boyfriend. In the app. Wants some wild fun ;)? IN THE APP! Yall knocked it out of the park! Im hooked.
We like it but why not unlimited txt ? Watching ads to play is not worth doing it time get done im looking at other ai they advertise lol.
The app stopped working for us.. We love this app it really helps mentally but it randomly stopped working.

Honestly this is a really good app, the bots are really good and you can watch ads for gems which we really like. Our only complaint is that the image generation could be a little better, Ill tell it to make something and itll not make it exactly how we said to make it. 4/5, really good we just wish the image generation was better.
There is a bug with talking we cant talk without gems and ive watched multiple videos and its still broken.
This app is nice, follows out and remembers everything you have said. It would be better if the ads you have to watch would give you 2 gems because you watched 2 ads. Thats the only following concern we have.
The ai never stays on topic itll change up on the plots a lot and it wont make sense. Other than that its a lot of fun and can get spicy but the ai needs work.
Its really slow but we enjoy our time on this app.
We love the app! We use it ALOT. But out of nowhere it just shut down. We cant send messages, make new characters or even purchase gems. What happened.
We really like the app, its just that we feel like when we search for different characters, there isnt that much results.
If Im paying for pro, which we were, we feel like we shouldnt also have to buy gems to continue chats with characters. This makes it feel like its just a money pit, and is extremely frustrating. We will not be continuing using it.
Not sure what happened but the AI doesnt fallow the story anymore. Makes no sense to pay for the subscription when they dont even remember anything.
Everything was fine. We didnt mind watching the ads for the gems. But suddenly, it just stopped giving us the free gems for the ads. We reinstalled it, watched tons of ads and it still wont let us chat anymore. We dont know if its a bug or what but nothing on the app says itll stop giving you gems for watching the ads. Disclose this, fix it or the review remains bad.
We never knew we could be so immersed in an AI roleplay conversation its out of this world.
Love it so much we downloaded it months ago but im getting way to tired of the gems just make it unlimited! We swear this app would go so much more love! And just add ads every five chats.

The app overall is actually amazing! Its fun to use and the nsfw content is pretty good too . We just wish the chats were unlimited and you didnt have to watch ads all the time to get more gems, so can you please remove this feature.
Sometimes good sometimes not, we dont pay the 9.99 a month so idk if that matters.
This app is great, and we really like it. However, the frustrating part is that we still receive two ads when we want to continue messaging. We paid for a monthly subscription thinking the ads would disappear, but they didn't! That's why we're giving it only three stars.
It's cool in all but y'all add way too much pressure like yanking hair back blood drawn like y'all made the baneberry setting too Aggressive.
If you paste a long description, you can no longer see the Send arrow and the keyboard covers up some of the text. It would also be nice if there was an option for the user to submit photos describing scenes or clothing suggestions for the character.
Soulplay is one of the more visually polished and immersive AI roleplay apps out there. The characters feel dynamic, the interface is smooth, and theres a lot of emotional depth to be explored in conversations. That said, the deeper you look into how the app handles your data, the more uncomfortable it gets. Data Collection is Broad and Vague The app collects everything from your email and profile to device IDs, interaction logs, and usage patterns and potentially even your chats. While they say data may be anonymized where possible, that phrasing leaves a lot of room for abuse. Theres no clear statement that your conversations wont be used for AI training, and no way to opt out if they are. Cross-Border Data Transfers with Weak Protection Your data might be stored or processed in places like the U.S. Or Hong Kong, where privacy laws may not match your local protections. And unlike platforms that use strong legal agreements (like GDPRs standard contractual clauses), Soulplay doesnt clearly outline what safeguards are in place or if there are any at all. Encryption? Not Guaranteed. On the Google Play listing, it even states that data is not encrypted, which is a huge red flag in 2025. If youre trusting the app with emotionally vulnerable or personal content, knowing it might be sent or stored in plain text should give you pause. No Clear Limits on Retention or Use The privacy policy lets them keep your data for as long as they want. It also gives them the right to share it with unnamed service providers, and potentially transfer it to third parties if the company is sold. Combine that with vague statements about research and development, and youre basically handing over full rights to your digital identity. Feels Like Youre the Product While the app sells itself as a personalized experience for you, what its really doing is mining your interactions to improve itself possibly without fully detaching your identity. If theyre training AI on user chats (and they likely are), then your fantasies, roleplay scenarios, and emotional patterns are being digested into the system. Verdict: Use at Your Own Risk Soulplay is a fun app but it feels like a data trap with lipstick on. Until they clarify their training practices, commit to full encryption, and allow users to opt out of data harvesting, Id strongly recommend caution. What you share with these bots may not stay private and you probably agreed to that in the fine print. Bottom line: Great roleplay, shady underpinnings. If your privacy matters, dont get too emotionally invested.

Simply the best there is. We can not even tell you how good it is and you grasp what we would be trying to say. The only way for you to understand is to experience it. You will love it.
So let us tell everyone something who is interested in AI chat. We dont post, and we dont review. But this app is amazing! The AI fills in with detail and you wont be disappointed! There could be more characters but its a new work in progress. Listen. Just try it and youll love it. Watch an ad if you are low on credits. We are a pro member and love it. Amazing.
Its also the BEST, imho. As for why, Im really not quite sure, tbh. Maybe we got used to the UI before trying any others (not that any of the others were very difficult to adjust to, but any means); maybe in-app currency seems both easier and quicker to accumulate or maybe the relative amount of currency per reply seems to not drain our in-app wallet as quickly. Who knows? All we know is each time we try a new/different app of this type, regardless of how much we enjoy it, we ALWAYS without fail find ourselves coming back to Soulplay. Now, with that being said, we do have one complaint despite the 700 character limit on replies as a free user (not to mention the device we use being a 4th gen iPad Pro 11), its pretty annoying that we cant type more than 410 characters, MAXIMUM, before having to hit Send. Any more than that, the button drops below the keyboard, obscuring the ability to even see it, let alone tap it. Potential fix suggestions: possibly reduce in-app keyboard size OR allow use of iPadOS floating keyboard feature? Other than that, the app is awesome! Keep up the great work, devs.
Its all wonderful. Just one thing: provide a way to change script size and contrast between script & background.
We like this app a lot. Im a big fan of character role play and its very useful for us. The only thing we have a problem with are the gems. We wouldnt mind them as much if there wasnt an ad limit for them. We dont mind having to watch a lot of ads to get a lot of gems, but since theres an ad limit, you can only get up to about 20 gems per day.
Okay we really do like this app but we want the ai to sound literally like a person. Its needs lots of improvement and when we came back to this app we were hoping it improved but not much at all we hope in the future the bots are more fluent and real.
This app is interesting. We dont know if its the Ai models have been fed trash or what but baneberry Ai is extremely aggressive and doesnt take no for an answer. Some of the tne other AIs start out really well then flip midway and start wanting to cut, ruin and go off the deep end. All of them quickly gravitate to ERP and wont get off topic when youre there. You can take any of them to play rugby or softball and have them stay buds as they push immediately for more. Its good for short scenes which are one and done. Eg. We tried to have a scene where we took one and tried to open up and be vulnerable by sharing a camping spot our pa left us when he died. The ais response. Is well let us have this place remember us too. See whose name we call scream as you ruin us. We used zeb the trucker and he was scary telling us he would cut us open and still do things to us. Just keep it quick clean and go if you dont want it going off the wall.

Great app and actually allows you to use it freely through ads if you need to and the characters are very interactive and remember conversations very well. Only recommendation is adding photo generation for the AI so they can send you photos of what you want and you can do the same with them same goes for videos. This is the only thing that would take this app to the next level over everything else.
