Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

The game is very fun and highly enjoyable. However, it frequently crashes after about 30 minutes of gameplay, especially on large maps. We are playing Song of Conquest on an iPhone 13 Pro Max (iOS 18.7.1). The game frequently crashes after about 30 minutes of gameplay, especially on maps with large map sizes. This issue happens consistently and seriously affects the experience. What is confusing is that Civilization VI, which is a much heavier and more demanding game, runs stable without any crashes on the same device. This makes us believe the problem lies in optimization or memory management of Song of Conquest on iOS. We strongly recommend the developers investigate and fix this crash issue, particularly for large maps, to improve stability and user experience.

Backbone controller support on iOS could enhance gameplay tremendously. Similar to the Steam Deck experience, tapping is a little cumbersome on the smaller iPhone screen.

This game hits that old HOMM3 itch. Ive completed the first campaign and we have to say we got swept away last mission and ended up standing in place going just one turn till we completed. The campaign is a good treat to teach you the mechanics naturally and efficiently though us HOMM3 vets know random maps are amazing and the scenarios we look forward too. This port is amazing and we hope they add the dlc.

We own an iOS copy and a PC copy (with expansions). The game is fun and addictive. We seriously hope the iOS version gets the DLCs. We would gladly purchase the DLCs for the iOS version (despite already owning them on the PC version).

Very good game, we truly enjoyed it, but there are a few major issuesbugs The changelog says that the Vanir faction DLC was added, but thats not true, at least not as a playable faction Honestly, we will change our rating if the developers fix the issues with the game. The campaign is kinda short.

We have the download running still no fix.

There was an issue with loading and its now addressed and we can scratch the HOMM3 Itch thank you.

At first we were mad that the game wouldnt get passed the title screen but it turns out if you sign out of the Game Center then itll work perfectly fine.

Purchased originally when it was Early Access on Steam to full release and had a blast, but think mobile is our favorite way to play now. Excellent game and the developer equally is excellent in their support.

From time to time, all of our saves will copy one particular save file. Ill have completed half of a campaign mission, with a comfortable number of key save points. All of a sudden, we try to load a latter save, and all of our save options are from the same date and time, and identical designation, essentially locking us into that point. Forcing us to restart if Im unhappy with it. Please fix this. Love the game besides this and will edit.

This is an excellent game with a lot of bugs right now. We have never played the PC version, so Im coming from a fresh perspective. This is a gorgeous, fun, and engrossing game. It has a very good campaign with actual characters and different perspectives, and the core gameplay is just very fun. It the moment it is extremely buggy. We expect it to crash for one reason or another after 20 minutes of gameplay and have had issues with saves being overwritten or just downright not working. The reason this gets a five star review is because the team for songs of conquest is very good at patching and Im sure will clear up these issues as soon as they can.

Im so happy to finally have a good Heroes-like on mobile. We hope they can fix the crashes that happen quite often, and the bug that makes the end turn button disappear when you visit the research center.

We've just started 4th mission of the first campaign and every cutscenes have lack of music . Theres a video, but completely silent other than that so far so good (playing on IPad m1).

Games great couldnt ask for much more we also played it on console love it cant wait for more from you guys.

Been missing HMM3 for a while. This game really scratches that itch while also bringing some fun new changes. Great game.

Only issue is some clunky and difficult to navigate UI that leads to a lot of unintended clicking, but great job Coffee Stain.

Hello, thanks for porting this game! We couldnt find a way to report an issue so writing here. Please consider fixing keyboard support for iPad. Many keys work like Q and AWSD, but AWSD scrolls way too much to be useful. Controller support will be good as well! Same is on PC but for some reason it is half baked here. On the touch front, there is no button to continue movement and that would be useful as well! Loading times are somewhat long in and out of a battle. Even on m4. Which is strange. Maybe if there is a way to not unload and load everything back.

We wish this game had cloud saves.

The story is especially good. We're now in the third song, chapter 3. Some improvements are urgently needed. We hope developers would update the game as soon as possible. 1. Unable to pick a target when using a skill in battle mode sometimes. We would have to let AI take control, because it's literally impossible for us to use some skills, whether it is about selecting a friendly troop, or a foe. It happens at times. But not always 2. Please adding a brightness slide bar in options. We would have to manually change the device brightness to the brightest when playing this game, otherwise, it is uncomfortably dark. This actually is very important. We would say this is the most important the feature we're expecting. 3. Unable to play our own music in background while playing the game. If we try to play a movie in the background, it stops automatically too. This is more like an improvement. Everyone will be tired of the game music after a while. So please consider making a change.

If you liked heroes 3 this is a must get once thy fix the save file bug. Fantastic game play and strategy so far. Bug is Where at some point most of your saved games are overridden with an early save game point. Has to be fixed soon please.

Solid game, for sure. Like others have said, it crashes not infrequently, so biasing auto saves to every turn or saving after doing big troop or research transactions is a must. Also, there is a bug when visiting the item shop that removes the ability to interact with the UI. Functionally, it is as if the game straight up crashes. Fixing that would be awesome, because that item shop is a super useful feature.

Overall, very well ported. It runs smoothly and our phone hasnt even heated up hahaha. Our only complaint is that our game is capped at 60 FPS when our phone can do 120. If they change this we will happily modify our review.

If you like HOMM series you'll like this game. Apple pencil doesn't work well on the ipad.

Crashing after enemy movies around 30 rounds. Clunky visuals make it difficult to point out items that you can claim, CPU is overpowered in conquest sense it knows where to get all the loot early on; we had our character at level 12 focus on buff only to lose to level 7 enemy stack with 7 weak units, therefore numbers over leveling is key and is broken. Overall a great game with potential.

The game freezes and becomes unresponsive when selling items to merchants.

Decent game and works well on mobile. Would like to give it a higher rating, but for some inexplicable reason the game now gets stuck on the initial load up screen. Was able to play the game for a couple days no problem, not sure what changed. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but unfortunately, it did not work.

Ipad On the iPad (9th generation), the game frequently crashes. Moreover, if we switch the language to Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese, the frequency of crashes increases significantly, making it almost impossible to play the game. The Chinese localization of this ganormally.us seems quite good. It would be even better if it could be played normally.

Im giving this game two stars because of the frequent crashes we have experienced the game play is smooth but suddenly it crashes with no explanation.

The game seems like it could be fun, but it's bogged down with a frustrating amount of bugs. During combat, there's no way to pan the screen. Sometimes you start zoomed in on a character. So, you're out of luck if you want to see the enemies. If you're trying to land on a space behind an occupied space, good luck, cause you'll select the space in front multiple times first. If the UI (or the screen starts too far to the right) is covering your character, like the bard, you can't click the music note to activate their ability. Oh, and if the top of the screen is elevated, you probably won't be able to click the space near or under the UI. Because you can't pan Want to lose progress of a few rounds? Well we've got great news! Sometimes the end turn button just disappears after combat and you have no way to advance without restarting! Tapping on buildings inches the screen to the left so that you have to center it again after every building you want to select. Its not game breaking, but it is frustrating and unnecessary if it was designed to do that. We want to like this game, but the amount of get breaking bugs seriously hinder any enjoyment you might get out of this premium priced game.

If you loved Heroes of Might and Magic 3, this is your new scratch! If youve never played Heroes of Might and Magic 3, good news! One of the greatest turned based strategy games ever made inspired people to make the game whose page you are browsing right now! While it is also available on Steam and Good Old Games, the very fact that you can enjoy this in a mobile context (or even, dare we say, on a swank IPad) should more than move your thumb over to that there buy button. Why? Because you want to support real gamers making deep, sincere games, not no pay to win malarkey. This guy right here is your ticket to hours of enjoyment! See you on the battlefield.

Ive played this on pc, really enjoyed it, the pixel art style is pure eye candy, we didnt get too far into it but Im hoping with this version we will actually sit down and play through it, we recently got a knockoff backbone stretch controller so Im trying to build a catalog of games, will this have controller support at some point? Update: So it does have semi controller support, some buttons work, X button saves, Left joy stick moves camera, Right trigger highlights items, Dpad up closed hud and now it wont come back on, a bindings menu would be awesome, if possible.
