What Makes Avolteha Stand Out

AVOLTEHA
The extraordinary planet where Paul embarks on his greatest adventure.

Avolteha is covered by landscapes full of sand, rock and volcanoes. One element you look for in vain here. Water – the source of all life. The only water is found in the clouds that pass over Avolteha.

The only way to get this precious commodity is a type of mushroom that can extract the water.
The inhabitants of Avolteha therefore began many years ago to build their settlement around those mushrooms. Over time, however, the mushrooms began to sprout their roots higher and higher.
To restore the water supply, Paul and his friends built a connection from the new cloud city downwards.

In the meantime, Paul no longer lives in the city. Now, however, he received a letter. His friends needed his help. The water source had gone out once again.

What happened?
Paul's greatest adventure is ahead of him. The great riddle of Avolteha is waiting for him and wants to be solved. It must be solved – for the good of all the inhabitants of this wonderful planet.

ABOUT THE GAME
Avolteha is a classic point & click adventure game for the whole family.

GAME CONTROLS
Paul can easily pocket items along the way and take them with him on his journey. Find out where these items can be used. If Paul gets stuck, he still has his friends. Maybe they will give him a decisive clue. An interactive game experience by touch.

NO BORING TEXTS
No endless dialogues. Conversations can be followed through hand-drawn speech bubbles without text. A game that overcomes language barriers and can be played by anyone.

iCLOUD CONNECTION
Avolteha is playable with 4 players simultaneously. The game states can be easily changed via the slots. In addition, all 4 slots are synchronised via iCloud.

FOR NUMEROUS DEVICES
The game is playable on iPad as well as iPhone. Lowest requirement: iPad Air or iPhone 6s or higher. All newer devices are supported.

ZOOM FOR THE IPHONE
Constantly zoom in with two fingers, move a section and then zoom out again with two fingers? Not with Avolteha. With only one finger, you can intuitively zoom in, move and zoom out again. Discover the many details in the magnificently designed scenes.

This Puzzle game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

Absolutely fantastic! Well worth$$$$…..we admit being frustrated at first but the clues that are given really do help! The bad reviews here are unwarranted we feel. This is very much a "thinking game". GREAT JOB. More , please.

This is such a great game. We love this genre. We own all other games that are similar to this. Its very straightforward and if we get stuck, the hints are very self-explanatory. Love it.

We love this game but wait why does this game have a weird ending ?the guy in a spaceship how impossible.

One of the best out there. Great game play, graphics and the hint format is amazing too.

We would get this just for the art of it.. But there is too much repetition for 5 stars. There needs to be quicker ways to get around.

We were stuck in one of the chapters and even with the walkthrough, we could not get out of one of the rooms. We were hoping to restart the chapter but it made us restart the WHOLE GAME. We lost all our progress. Not happy about it.

The graphics are nice. But … The game was not fun. The motions are slow and it takes way too long to wander from place to place. Most of the actions needed are obtuse and require an awful lot of random clicking – even the clue system is obtuse. Each time you open the game you need to go a long intrusuction with instructions every time before being let into the game. We regret getting this.

The graphics are fantastic, very creative and thoughtful, however the instructions dont make sense, and if you dont do the exact thing you are supposed to do nothing else happens. The physics need to be refined. We wound up accidentally deleting all our progress because the instructions for how to save games locally or to the cloud dont make sense at all and we were unwilling to start all over again. There is potential here but it wound up being frustrating. Our 7 year old loved the characters but couldnt get anywhere due to the interface. Keep working on it.

The game idea is great, the idea of having no language, makes it open to more people. But on the we-pad the directions are not always smooth. Lining up items to interact with, clicking on directions to go different ways, some are moving left right up an down, but some you have to move closer to the front of the play area, or closer to the background. For an we-pad, you have to be right on the interactive zone, or your click is not recognized. You also have to be right next to the item you want to interact with. It does take some getting used to. The end is not worth the effort. The game is not really worth the price.

We do love the art style and highly praise the work that went into making this game. Theres likely a lot to love if actually playing the game wasnt so tedious. Even with the setting to speed up movement (why does there need to be a setting?), the main character isnt zippy. What makes this less fun is tapping on the world or objects offers no feedback. You have to tap on something twice. Once to actually walk to it. And once to maybe, hopefully interact with it. You have no clue what you can interact with versus is just scenery, either way tapping it produces no results unless you tap a few times and are lucky to hit it exactly correctly. If this can be improved Im sure the game will be great.

This game could be great but the developer had an attitude with other reviewers so we wont explain why only 2 stars.

Love the game! Got stuck on the mushroom& arrow puzzle for awhile- update with added time was a huge help! Really enjoyed playing. Im wishing & hoping another adventure is in the works. The detail is incredible, there is so much to look at! Take advantage of the zoom feature and explore each new scene. Well priced and worth purchasing. Not too short, of course any game we love is never long enough. Puzzles vary in difficulty, challenging at times but not overly frustrating. Operations are simple and smooth. To the developer- thank you! We appreciate the work and detail. Easily amongst our favorites in the point & click game category. Cant say enough good things. Looking forward to what you come up with next.

The graphics are stunning and the gameplay is veryunusual, and sometimes vexingbut always solvable. Highly recommend.

Avolteah is a beautiful, interesting little game that is ruined by a player that moves like a snail, puzzles that are timed such that an Olympian couldnt finish them before, guess what? You have a long, laborious task to go recharge your widget. Items in your inventory arent labeled so who knows what the cute little drawings are. The rave reviews for this game have to be from the developers relatives. Not fun.

This review is solely based on the graphics which are stunning and resemble Machinarium our favorite game ever. So far, this is the messiest, illogical and chaotic adventure puzzle game Ive ever played. What a lack of sense, what a disconnection between the graphics and the storyline. Could have been a fantastic game.

Loving this game! Artistic and challenging. If anyone is experiencing issues their website can help you reset the game.
