Community Insight:
We bought this game because it doesnt collect data, but Im shocked to find that its actually a decent little shooter! It also controls surprisingly well for a mobile game. Full marks.
Fantastic game, truly. Purchased it immediately after the free run through. There are other games on the app store that go for twice the price as this, yet arent worth a fraction of the excellent game you guys have created.
Really enjoy playing. Has almost infinite replayability. We would strongly encourage anyone to give it a try. We would like to know if theres an end game or does it just reset and cycle.
But please add controller support.
Game is amazing, but we cant find any fandom about it, but its five stars perfect.
Ive played a ton of twin stick shooters on multiple platformst This is the best Ive ever played and we love how it syncs iCloud saves the developer is amazing. They are in the Apple Arcade Discord if you want to chat with them.
This game is super fun to play. Gunplay feels really satisfying and is generally well balanced, and the loot system is really fun to engage with. We had tons of fun exploring and looting enemy bases for gear and upgrade materials, and it was pretty easy to find strong enough loot to progress without having to backtrack along the way. The game progresses pretty quickly and Id imagine you could probably get through the whole thing in 3-4 hours even in a blind playthrough. The relic bosses are tons of fun to fight we just wish they were easier to find. We did run into a few things that we think should be fixed or rebalanced in an update. The relic weapons are pretty fun, but the melee ones and the Corrupter Cannon (why do your own bats attack you?) feel pretty underpowered compared to the rest of the pack. On the flip side, Brimstone is hilariously OP. A minion dying in front of a larger enemy will send explosive shrapnel into it, doing up to 50k dmg in some cases and one-shotting many of the games harder bosses even at low levels. We also ran into a bug in NG +2 where we wasnt able to start over again and ended up soft locking our save. It would be interesting to see you guys add functionality for more NG cycles, even if its replaying the same stuff again. All that said, we really enjoyed our time with this game, and Id recommend you give it a shot if youre even a little interested in it. 5 dollars for the full game is nothing, and supports these amazing indie developers who clearly put their hearts into it. Final score: 9/10.
Fun twin stick shooter, very accessible, with great humor to go along with it. Super enjoyable and happy we came across this title.
We rarely pay for games, but this is worth way more than $5. We cant stop playing, hope the developer has more.
This used to be one of our favorite games on Apple ArcadeI was completely hooked. The gameplay, the design, everything about it just clicked for us. Unfortunately, our save file got corrupted, and we couldnt get the game to launch properly. Even after deleting and reinstalling, it wouldnt work. Thankfully, support helped us get it running again but not long after, it was pulled from the Arcade and disappeared from the App Store altogether. We were so disappointed. But thenjust yesterdayI saw it was back on the store! We downloaded it right away, and now Im hooked all over again. Its seriously one of the best games you can play on an iPhone.
Simple controls and fun dialogue make this game an easy recommendation. Twin stick shooting done really well. Super responsive controls. Im loving it. Well done.
We have loved this game since it first came to Apple Arcade and we missed it dearly when it was taken away. No game compares in our eyes.
Lots of fun, good replay-ability, and affordable. Theres a steam version too, dont know if saves can transfer. Just buggy. Nothing that messes with the save files. The sound wont come on, the dialogue gets stuck on screen, the homing weapons home to targets across the map instead of whats in front of you. But just annoyances, still fun and worth the money.
This game is phenomenal and we used to play on iOS before it was removed from the App Store for a couple years. We never deleted our original app just in case it came back so we could have our current save state, but alas, here it is, and our save is nonexistent. We had it in Apple Arcade and had completed over half the achievements and had been through over 100 sectors :/ Ill get back there eventually but it did make us v sad.
We absolutely love this game. So that makes the glitches encounter that more disheartening. We find this game absolutely rowing and we have put 20+ hours into it the first big one was on our first play through the missions just stopped halfway through the Golden cartridge mission and the only thing we got was the blessed Warr mission halfway through we could tell by the way, the story was going there was gonna be a new game plus which we were grateful for. So we just powered through and got a new game plus, we didnt know that Id already gotten all of the relics which we dont understand that every chest is marked, but the relics are not. So on the next play through, we we were excited to see some of the stories with a different factions that was fun we appreciated that difficulty increase. But heres the big one thats probably gonna have us put this game down for a while after unlocking every star map and beating every relic boss we go to start our third attempt and when we restart it just puts us back in the same map again not from the beginning, but no indicator where the orbs are and when we tried to re-enter the final it said we needed 10 orbs to get in so we go back to the closest orb and Im also locked out of that. So as far as we can tell, we are soft locked . Which is kind of frustrating. Because we got a call and by the time we went to slide it it already disappeared and when we went back, we couldnt get it to pop up again. So we dont what mission that was gonna be. This review is more for the developers since there is no support email to get some insight Like we said, we love love love this game is probably the best game Ive ever played on our iPhone. It just seems a little Rushed.
But. There is no balance (or didn't we understand game mechanics?): some legendaries much worse than some gray weapons. Relics are trash. That makes NG+ too difficult.
Played on a plane for multiple hours and got back on later to see all of our gear gone and missions incomplete. We had some rare drops from what we gather and Im back to basics. We lost all motivation to play.
Fun, easy play! Cute design, easy to pick up & play for a few minutes or longer. Buggy when a lot going on. Audio not on about 60% of the time we start it up. Close, start… No audio.
Would be great with controller support.
We have only played the demo so far. There is some serious fun to be had here. Traveling, selling, crafting and upgrading with items bought or items found scrapping for repurposing can be done in this game. There are burnous areas tin the game where extra items can be earn. There are some very challenging areas that, after completion, offer some serious rewards. The protagonist and sidekick makes for a nice little duo, although some might find their act a bit mundane. Portal travel never gets old. The level design is is about the same as any game that utilizes a 2D labyrinthine level design. The story is simple and straight-to-the point; Cho is an Earthing entity who just wants to go home after an impending ship explosion forced and ship abort. There are a few gripes a player might experience however. First the controls maynt work well with their existing Appleware. The magic mouse, in particular is not the best suited for games and a player might need to switch to another mouse. Could be just us though. Secondly, there is a bug this the game that causes the player to completely lose control of the starship (controls d not respond no matter what the player does). Also, the fact the there is no cursor lock means that the player must constantly deal with having two cursors on-screen all the time, which is very jarring. If the last two issues are fix ed (controls loss and cursor lock) the game would be great to play. No game is perfect but this out be a solid 5 stars for us.
Says its compatible to Mac but does not scale to the screen size properly.
Great game, fun, mix between a few games and meshes well. It would be nice if there was a preview of the weapons attack. That way you know before you craft them or equip them.
Ive missed this game ever since it left Apple Arcade in 2022. The artwork from Scott Vanden Bosch is so uniquely perfect. Exploring a procedurally generated universe is still just so fun. Try the demo section for free, and theres a good chance youll realize its worth the $5 to unlock the rest.
Its a great game, we really liked it. The developers did their best and did great.
5$ was so worth it, we played in 2019 and it was so good but sadly they change all bosses to guardprotocol.
Give it a shot if its not your vibe you will know in the first 5 min.
We are so glad we picked this up. What a gem. Totally worth the cost.
Pretty fun game! Has great potential.
It is a very good game 10 out if 10.
Highly recommended! Glad to see this one return to the App Store after leaving Apple Arcade many moons ago. Its a terrific twin stick space shooter with a ton of personality. Great upgrade system, voice acting, weird and funny alien encounters. The whole shabang. And free to try.
You can grappling hook a boulder, but you cant release.
The main character is awful, annoying teenager with an attitude and has a grating voice to match. A Ms attitude like the forspoken girl.
