Athenian Rhapsody is a Roleplaying/Adventure game from Top Hat Studios, Inc., first launched in 14th May 2024.
It’s rated 9+ and currently has 78+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Athenian Rhapsody Stand Out

Athenian Rhapsody is a fresh, comedic adventure RPG game in which you'll explore the World of Athens! Your goal is to build your very own Rhapsody, the story of you (the player) and your epic tale adventuring in this world. Your story will unfold based on your decisions, to the degree of which cannot be replicated by any other player.

16 Potential party members for you to interact with! – Each of these characters has a bold personality, and a large amount of depth for you to discover. You can choose to adventure with whoever you'd like! There truly is a favorite for everyone to bond with, I promise.

Tons of enemies for you to FIGHT or BEFRIEND! – This world has no shortage of intense battles with opponents that range from weird, wacky, tough, cute, and outright goofy!

Varying battle mechanics to always keep the action fresh! – Many characters will switch up the tactics of battle, you'll be faced with various minigames based on the scenario you find yourself in.

Absolutely hilarious. – This game is fast paced, action packed, and full of zany and ironic humor that anyone can have a nice laugh at.

Lots of rabbit holes, secrets, and suspicious endeavors! – You will NOT run out of things to do. If you do, you probably haven't seen the sunlight in quite some time!

Choose your own adventure! – Nothing substantial in this game is up to RNG. You choose your pathway from start to finish, creating an extremely specific pathway which will then be recorded into your playthrough's Rhapsody!

Vigorous mental challenges, and intense puzzles! – You may face mind-bendingly difficult challenges such as "Spell Richard" and "Feather Carry" throughout your Rhapsody. Would you dare come face to face with the infamous 3×3 slide puzzle?

Last but not least… An Online Social System and Event System! – You'll be able to share Rhapsodies between your friends. Share, combine, read through, and maybe even delete your friend's Rhapsodies! Bond with your friends or make new ones over sharing your Rhapsodies.

Each time you complete a playthrough, you'll receive a Rhapsody. Each Rhapsody acts as a way to take something tangible from your experience with your playthrough, and hold onto it forever. There are even ways to create new Rhapsodies by combining them, to multiply their complexity and create something absolutely insane!

The ultimate goal of Athenian Rhapsody is to provide a real, impactful experience for everyone who plays it. There's something for everyone and I hope that every player can relate to their story somehow, and maybe even reflect on their own lives. Remember to have fun, it's a game!

This Roleplaying game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

We played this game on switch but chose to write a review here as well. This game is hilarious, wacky, and has an incredible soundtrack. Plus, its cheap! ($8 on mobile and $15 on console). There are also multiple routes to take which increase the replay value. Idk what else to say just play the demo already.

Athenian Rhapsody is honestly a fantastic and beautifully-made RPG, and although similar to Undertale/Earthbound in style, it easily stands apart with its own sense of flair. We bought it off a whim on Xbox and adored it, so seeing it available in the app store was a pleasant surprise.

We very very rarely leave reviews on mobile games, but we literally stopped playing just to write this review. Youve gotta get this game, Ive played hundreds of videos games and this became an instant top 10 for us. Im genuinely surprised a game of this quality is mobile, it could easily be sold on Steam and it would be just as awesome. The characters are hilarious, interactions are always worth while for how over the top the facial animations and all of the hip kid lingo we absolutely love all the different ways Im able to approach encounters, you can make friends in a ton of different unique ways during battle, or just smack them in the face lol tons of fun loot and friends to find, unique silly weapons and outfits, lots of cool events that make you want to backtrack thru the map to find things legitimately this game is 100% worth 8 bucks, if you enjoy Undertale youre going to love this. Also, your first available party member is a weiner doggy, so we mean even just that is worth 8 buckeroos.

We remember having this game, but erasing it later, and months later we come back and see that the uncle Billiard fight was patched, only to download the game again, make it to the section, and still not being able to move the spatula up, and only being able to move left and right, has it really been fixed.

Delightful psychedelic world with unique writing. We just wish there were fewer tedious, repetitive battles in true JRPG fashion. Why do we have to fight the same enemy 10 times instead of just once? Chill Mode exists but Id rather just have well-balanced combat. Worth trying for free to see if its right for you.

All the games that we like is only part of the game you need to pay 7$ (or more/less) to play the full game please make the full version free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'.

Not a fan of this one but it has some good stuff but no.

Pro: game environment is amusing Cons: – controls are bad – hit detection is bad – difficulty is erratic – world in terms of movement and sense of direction is bad -.

We played the demo last year. Now Im hyper-focused on Athenian Rhapsody again. Uh oh. Im rolling on the floor and giggling! Someone help! AHHH!!! Also, Id pay money for sheet music for certain songs like Boy in the Mirror and Three Best Friends.

If you like games such as Undertale or Deltarune, try this.

We love this game. This is the perfect app, TAKE NOTE APPLE. This is how you make a game. Very funny very cute, lots of fart jokes. They get us. Thank you overlord Athenian.

An outrageous RPG with quirky characters and entertaining gameplay.

We dont know how to spell Richard but good game either way.

RARA, as one might say, is what we think of this game. Fleaking Glorious in every aspect, truely the starry night of our generation. Huzzah.

We love Athenian Rhapsody, and the mean behind it, Nico Papalia, did a splendorous job on it. We can play this game for hours on end without even needing to stop to eat.

Worth the full purchase and 5 stars if they gave us controller options, different schemes and/or button placement/opacity. Dpad,Virtual joystick (fixed/floating).

Game is good until the full pay thing Undertale like gameplay exploration is okay to say the most wish there was character customization the fly battle was very tedious overall pretty good.

Something about this game just grabs you from the start. We were watching our son play cause hes been following the kickstarter for a while and man! We were straight cracking up! Had to download the game ourselves and try it out. But man this game is tough too. Definitely worth checking out, the visuals are gorgeous and the game is hilariously witty.

Im enjoying what Ive played so farbut we see some tweaks that should be made as far as the mobile port is concerned: 1)the touch buttons are too transparent to the point in some screens they arent as visible, probably needs a transparency dial 2) inspite of this version being compatible with controllers (dont believe us? We tried it ourselves) the controls screen in options still displays the message about there being only three buttons, but it seems like something is being selectable, just not seen 3) touch controls are a little bit finicky on the text entry screens, making swapping to controller the way to handle with the [[redacted for convience of the reader]] boss anyway, which brings us to: 4) text entry only allows for ALL CAPS. Our OCD brain prefers the first letter capped, followed by the rest uncapped. Thanks Mr Developer for taking the time out to read this review and we hope youll take the time to address our concerns as you take them on and Ill update this review as necessary.

A good undertale game, a bad earthbound game. Humor reminds us of the weird kids from school.

Game does like to insult you a lot. Guess you can tell what generation made the game. Iq going down and all. Game play is boring compared to other games of 2d style.
