We love the way you play real human opponents. Great graphics. There’s even a chat feature on the iPad version. Best backgammon game for iPad/phone we’ve seen!
Very clean game good graphics no glitches or hangups problems with our run we like the game we play a lot of games and this is one of the good one try it youll like it.
On top of the bots and predictable not random dice the game now freezes on our opponents turn and then says we lose. Sound like a fair game? Yeah didnt think so. Pathetic.
This app makes no sense, if you play backgammon, Rolling dice algorithm is crazy. You guys need to fix it. Its just unbelievable, we got 2 and 1 6 times in a row, our opponent got sixes and fives 4 times in a row. This is one of the bugs we can recall. Just makes no sense, and blackjack, is crazy how dealer gets 21 10 times in a row.
Thus game seems fixed. Just lost 6 of last 7 games. Our opponents rolled multiple doubles but we did not. We were winning in several of the games only to have our opponents roll doubles we are by no means a backgammon pro but 6 of 7???????
Unless you fork some $$ out of your pocket th majority of the time playing this game you will loose.. Just saying.
Just how many bots are set for this site? Seems its way more bots than live people. You can tell by the speed of the moves and a few other clues after playing hundreds of games. More AI than humans is our guess. Let us play more humans for a chance.
This app represents everything wrong with online games. Its poorly designed and is designed to cheat. Whats worse is that the designers know this but continue to lie about some fictional RNG instead of being decent humans and owning what theyve done. Read the other negative reviews because what they say is all true. Dont waste your time.
Without question the most unfair game of backgammon we have ever played. If the opponent needs a one and a six they get it every time. Not once out of 10, not once out of 20 but every single time. This game cheats like no other. Dont waste your money. Also, we highly doubt that Im playing against other real people. We can guarantee you that Im playing against a computer.

We love playing backgammon and we’ve discovered that their are several online backgammon games available now and play four of them. There are differences in the various games but the biggest complaint of ALL these games is that the games are rigged and we have to admit we’ve certainly thought that too many times. The developers will always deny the rigging and no one believes them and here the player is left wondering how can there be so many coincidences that rob them of a win. Guess it doesnt matter one way or the other. We enjoy playing the game and will continue to do so. Backgammon Live is one of the better ones.

When ahead and double up your opponent, you win almost all the time. It is giving the advantage to the person who is ahead. That defeats nearly all potential for a comeback. It seems like you want the game to end QUICK to make more money. Explain how this is not cheating.

We like everything about the game except for the red dice have a glare and we cant tell what the numbers are . Bad choice.
We like the option to play with/against friends. Just be aware that the dice are not always in your favor.
The game used to have random throws. But now, every time theres a critical throw if youre playing against the computer, it is not random. We wrote down all the times that they needed a single number to get us on the bumper versus us. They beat us out 13.4 times to 1 (a total of 236 instances between the two of us). Some of those may have been against actual humans. But we can kind of tell now after doing this exercise which ones were against a computer. When playing against a human though, it is a fun game.

This game is entertaining and fun. We do not care for the fact that each opponent wants to double the games bet all the time and if you choose not to you automatically forfeit the game. Also, many times what Id like the pieces to do when we choose them do not get put where we want them. Sometimes its to late to rectify but when you can having to undo and redo is annoying.
We love this game, except for the last couple months at least four times. The game starts and no dice roll but we lose our bet. Not sure how that happened but its discouraging when you buy coins.
Played Lord of the Board for long time. MEGA RIGGED. This game MUCH better. Only 1-2 ad screens and no ad videos. (Compared to 6-10). We found our favorite board and stick to it. If you just want to play Backgammon without the glitzy stuff or big competitions this is it. There is optional stuff. But for just a relaxing Backgammon session, we highly recommend it.
Love the graphics BEST graphics by far, BUT- if you play on iPhone and have more than 5 blots on left side of board, the word "double" and the word "done" blocks the ability to move the covered blots! Very frustrating! We had 7 blots on number 7 space- virtually impossible to move off that spot if it’s your second dice move of that roll. It keeps "undo" (ing) the move because you keep hitting "undo", it’s covering the blots….. Time runs out….. FIX IT! And need a more reasonable variant games, youve got them at $9000 coin per game, and none at a reasonable price. You are missing the action. We know you use a RNG, but we can assure you there are patterns, very predictable pattens, especially with doubles suddenly being repetitive for your opponent, exactly the numbers they need repeatedly especially after doubling down. We now remember why we deleted your app. IT IS A PREDICTABLE OUTCOME FROM WHO STARTS, to WHAT THE DICE ROLL WILL BE, it may be random, but its a predictable consecutive pattern of dice roll outcomes in too many games to be coincidental, and thats NOT RANDOM.. DO BETTER, AND STOP BEING GREEDY, create less expensive variant games!
We’ve been playing for a little while. This game used to frustrate us because yes, the dice are sort of fixed. We had to accept that, eventually. We can often predict exactly what the dice will roll after certain turns. That said, its still our responsibility to make the best moves so we’ve learned to go with flow of it. Visually, we do like this backgammon game better than others we’ve tried and it moves quickly. We do wish they had better chat options than just the eight emojis, but whatcha gonna do, lol.

Tilted game. Without a doubt opponents not only roll doubles with greater frequency but roll exactly whats needed to knock our pieces off the board. Discouraging and makes competing seem futile. Another pay to play game?
Different issues of late – only fixable by deleting & reinstalling the game- a real hassle. Getting to be more & more frequent. Been playing this version of backgammon for a number of years- usually play daily some # of times. Never had this issues before! Definitely DONT like if opponent chooses auto roll feature we are obligated to same – and we hate auto roll! We shouldnt be subjected to their choices made!
Lately the game is no longer fun. The bomb has shown up everyday for days. It seems the game is rigged! Im giving it a break and going to hope it gets back to being fun. Or maybe Ill just like the other backgammon apps we’ve added!
If you have some experience playing backgammon, it will be very easy to notice that some players have hacked the system to get the numbers that they need Except for that the game is ok.
Re: we lost another game when they got 5 doubles at the end! We had them behind a prime and the game was ours. Then as we moved up he got double 5 to escape. We still led. But then another big double. Then another and another and another. The odds against 5 big doubles in 7 rolls is astronomical. Except on this cheating site. Our question is why do the developers cheat for inferior opponents like this? Id like a straight answer.
Its really fun until you get to about level 20. After that its clearly rigged. Most of the other reviews say the same.
