Great app, but please please give us the option of viewing the problem afterwars.
We loved this app and used it daily… Until today when an update makes it impossible to play without logging in. There is no use for this other than to appear on the leaderboard. Which we dont care about. Too bad, this used to be a great app.
We’ve tried like 10 go apps. The lessons here have finally helped us understand this game, they are very good.
We are new to the game and the platform is teaching us. We like the lessons and the ability to review and study the lessons.

We have struggled to play this game for a while now and this is the best software we’ve found that teaches a newbie how to play this game. Thanks to all who made this app. You have made us love the game and want to learn how to play it with others.
We started to watch an anime about go and wanted to follow along and learn. This app explains the game well and you can get real time practice. So far not sure if it will be blocked by any in app purchases but we havent reached that point yet.
Eastern logic seems to contain a more complex set of elements than the younger western mind.
This game feels very rare and niche since there is not a lot of them on the AppStore, most of the go games on the AppStore are trash and do not provide much in teaching you the game, this is the only one we have seen so far with a really good design, ui and really puts effort into teaching you how to play.
We’ve seen Go played a few times and was curious to learn so we downloaded a couple of apps. This one has a tutorial which was helpful but when we made a play it was wrong. We tried again. Still wrong. Apparently you get a couple of chances to find the one correct move on the board, but no feedback as you go about what you could/should have done instead. Very discouraging – we played a few times and then gave up on frustration.
We’ve tried a lot of apps for go and this is by far the best. Play real games with real people, practice games with computer, 9×9, 13×13, 19×19, puzzles, tutorials and more. Def the best go app out there!

They do not make this game where we come from, so to play badukpop go was a once in a lifetime of experiment. We owe our soul to you.
We downloaded a few Go apps to start learning the game and this one was the most straightforward. A lot of learning tools are locked behind a premium paywall, but its good for learning the basics and playing games online.
Im an absolute novice beginner who barely knows the terminology and proper techniques, but this app has been helpful in not making the game seem so complicated and intimidating. 5/5.
We have found BadukPop very useful for beginners, as they can play many games against the weaker computer opponents and solve the easier problems. As an AGA 1 kyu, the harder problems and opponents still provide one convenient practice for us each day. But the problems are a bit limited, often centering on a shortage of liberties, so this should probably only be one source for your (and my) tsume-go, tesuji, and yose practice. We also find the online play too frustrating so we have stopped using it. The rankings or ratings too often seem disconnected from the players strength, and we find myself playing even games against much weaker opponents, which isnt useful for either of us. We also dislike the one-day-a-move time controls for slow games, as we cannot always get back to a long game each day.

The puzzles and explanations are so helpful to learn about and understand this game.
Its a bit frustrating at first. You lose and lose. But eventually you start to see what the lessons are teaching. It might be faster with the paid version but time is your friend with this tool.
Just always wanted to learn because of the Go anime we love so much.
We like the UI of this app and it really helps walk a beginner like us, step by step all the nuances of the game.

So fun and great for learners. Love the ability to watch people play live. We wish we could comment on the games and cheer on players, maybe even if the players dont see it, just the audience, like polling who thinks is going to win for fun. Gem of an app.

We recently watched a show and the characters were playing go and it looked fun so we wanted to play. The intro lessons are great! We love that the app explains answers after you play. The app if VERY well thought out! Very helpful! Im glad we found this app and am able to learn the game and understand how to play and hopefully soon play very well! Yall did a great job!
No option that we see in the settings to turn off all the garbage notifications. Want to be notified when someone moves in a correspondence game? Enjoy also another piece of software yelling look at us!!!! Every day.
